• Cool Y510p with removal of dust, good idea?

  Hi, I have a Lenovo Y510p No. SLI version and I would like to know if it is nice to cool the system faster using dusting in Lenovo management tool. After playing a game for an hour, I would like to use the dust removal tool to cool more quickly the lenovo.

• IdeaPad y510p clean Windows 7 install - SSD not detected

  I bought a new Ideapad y510p just before Christmas and I wanted to do a clean install of Windows 7-64 bit.

  I created a USB startup device as required and put the drivers from lenovo on her page too.

  Since the serial number on this picture, you have the 59375625 model. After digging further, this parts search page and this point merchant does not seem an SSD on the specifications list. If the reception / box indicates that you have a 1 TB + 24 GB SSD, you may need to check under the hood (see pages 38-39 of the hardware maintenance manual)

  I just tried to install the new BIOS for my y510p that came out July 2, but when I tried to run, I got "BIOS version compare error! I have no idea why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated, I know how much we all love a new BIOS . Thank you.

  I had to remove my lenovo y510p and change the dc port. Now everything works fine, but there seems to be a graphics card problem or something.   About a year ago, I bought my Y510p. Initially the laptop seems to work well, but it took me two months to see that the enclosed second of 755M SLI card was not recognized by the system and so I realized that I had played a 755 in two months. So, after some searching on Google, I managed to activate the video card in the execution of a .bat from the lenovo Web site.

  The problem

  A few months later, I contacted a friend of mine who also bought the same laptop to play BF3 together. I asked him what he played on the settings and he said he's playing on high graphics with 50 to 60 fps. I was completely shocked, since my laptop couldn't do 50 over low heat. I went back to google and discovered others could play much much better too, I had been googling and reach your forums and others to find a solution, without result. So I decided to ingnore the problem.

  A little later I started to play Watch dogs, I had payd full price for her just know my pc can run only 18 fps on the graph low. But, I thought it was just because of the game given that more people have problems with it.

• Y510p Trackpad driver issues on Windows 7

  I recently bought a Lenovo Y510p. Soon after receiving it, I wiped Windows 8 and installed Windows 7. I downloaded all the Windows 7 required drivers on the Lenovo support site and install without any problems. The problem I have is that most of the time the driver for the trackpad momentum seems to have issues. Device Manager acknowledges the mouse as a generic PS/2 mouse and the options of the momentum, under control panel > mouse is not CSA listed at all.

  I found a temporary solution to the problem. Uninstalling the drivers through the Device Manager, reboot, then install drivers the momentum of the Lenovo site, then reboot, I was able to get the mouse appears in the momentum Control Panel, where I could finally set my parameters. However, after my next reboot, the mouse was absent from the Panel momentum once more, and now I'm at square. I tried the solution that had previously worked, but I got no results.

  so, I now own (soon) the idea of a y510p pad and my plans where upgrade them to windows 8.1 since its average a lot and I have much better than 8.   Fan - there is none. Fans of racing to 55% max.

• [PROBLEM] Y510P HDMI to TV LED 32'

  I have some problems when I plug my laptop Y510P to a TV by an HDMI cable. Both (laptop and tv) detects the conection but the TV does not signal to the laptop.   Thnks, but ive fixed! I needed to configure the display mode (double, etc.) from the Intel Graphics software, not since default Windows options. When I change the resolution, I need also to do the configuration of Intel.

• Y510p does not properly

  So I had this problem with my Y510p slow randomly / freezing. There is no specific program or operations to do it on. It will be sometimes frozen immediately after that I connect and after 5-10 minutes I have to force a stop down. Also about 80% of the time I turn off my laptop it take 5 minutes to 5 hours to extinguish. And no it is not up-to-date, it just display the closing with the balls to do the loop.

  What I tried to ask you. I did OKR twice, the problem occurs with Windows 8 and the 8.1 update. I removed a lot of the bloatware. I disabled the fast storage to intel.   Have you tried to disable expresscache in addition to fast storage?   Hi all! My laptop Lenovo Y510P 2 day old has a problem with loading. I noticed that the battery was never more than 60% charged. I left that he plugged for more than 24 hours and nothing has changed. So I decided to completely drain the battery and used the laptop until it dies.   Hey bro, I got the same problem with my y500 when he arrived, but its an easy fix. All you need to do is open the lenovo energy management program. It must have an icon in the taskbar of office.
