Yellow circle of blackBerry Smartphones

On my home screen, where the notification of the received texts, emails or missed calls, displays a yellow circle with a 2 next to him appeared. What is and how do I access it? I am a new blackberry owner.

If it is yellow/organge, a WAP push message.

1. open your main message folder.
2. press the Menu button (on the left of the trackball).
3. click on view files.
4. click on browser Push (or WAP Push Messages) messages.
5. read or remove the messsage.

  • Yellow envelope of blackBerry Smartphones refuses to go away

This morning I had the yellow envelope appears on top of my storm that appears usually when I have a new email or new msg of some sort and the (1) appears in my email address and of the messages icon icon... the only problem is that I don't have any new email and no msgs again.

I am pretty good with my phone and have covered almost all aspects of it.  I checked (and remove) all the email I got on the phone.  Then, I even deleted the email account.  I deleted everything in the "messages" folder I checked the app world, I checked all the sms, mms and bb messenger.  Nothing.  I deleted all of the past and calls if I missed a call.  The phone says empty everywhere I can check.

The only place where I can find still near that something is under Setup, then Application Center it shows "1 News"... which is the Myspace app.  Thinking he was, I advanced and installed to see if that could get rid of the envelope.  Nothing.  And what's weird is under application Center it says that MySpace was not installed... even if it was and phone rebooted.  It's as if it detects all my msgs gone and even installing the stupid myspace application.

Is it possible to force it to remove the envelope?  I tried everything I can think of.

Is the envelope an envelope of normal message or message envelope tilted, which may indicate a SMS or MMS message?

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.
If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

    Try these options:
The main Messages folder and select today's date, click on the menu button and then select Mark prior opened.
    * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
    Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    * Connect to Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced. On the right pane is the list of the data on your device. Scroll to the e-mail highlighted messages database, and then below, select TRANSPARENT. This will clear your system of all messages.
    * Clean and reload your OS.

  • Small green circle phone BlackBerry Smartphones

I have a small green circle with a phone and the number 1 next to it.  I don't know what it is for or how to delete it?

He doesn't look familiar.  More than likely, it is a notification of an application that you have installed.  Let me tell you where to look.

On your home screen, click Messages.  Once there, press the menu key, then select the display folder.  If you look through each of these folders, I bet you find the source of this message and you can then read and delete.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Given your procurement method, I recommend that to start here:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

Ensure that all measures are properly carried out in order to completely divorce the BB from accounts of friends and thus to be able to create entirely what you need for you alone.

Regarding your question as stated, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • Theme of blackBerry Smartphones has frozen my blackberry

I downloaded a theme on the morning of the bb app world now my phone is frozen. Its stuck on the main screen and it is locked. All buttons are inadmissible unless the caps lock, shift, and alt button. I tried removing the battery and putting it back on nothing has changed. It just says: initializing with a green circle, and that's it.

After downloading the theme, he asked if I wanted to apply, this small clock for the load came out. The phone took the time to apply so I went to remove the other themes to free memory to make it faster. After you remove the other theme, it got stuck on authentication for a long time, so I took out the battery. When you restart the bb the new theme has been applied, and now the phone is stuck on the main screen. Help, please!

Hello and welcome to the community!

From what you describe, there is a COMPUTER on your BB policy which is demanding both encryption and a password for the device-lock. If you are currently on the BES, then STOP NOW and see your BES admins they control it.

If you are not on BES, somehow your BB has a COMPUTING policy... the cause maybe it was once associated with BES, but not properly deleted when the property was transferred to you. If all goes well, there will be other problems that often comes with "2nd hand" situations. In any case, you can check this:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

Even if does not appear as described, from what you have described, there is probably a COMPUTER policy that is causing this (some may be "hidden"). To remove it, first make sure you have a good backup of your BB... See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions. Then do this:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Thereafter, your BB will be as new... you need to re - install your applications and restore your data (according to the backup you took my instructions above). BUT - when you restore data, DO NOT make a full restore... rather, only restore these databases you need (e.g., Contacts, calendar, Messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid those who have nothing to do with the COMPUTER policy, company or similar things... If you restore, you will be right where you started.

Good luck and let us know!

I don't know what is the error you get on payment options, but if you share these error code or a specific error message that you get when you purchase then we can try to help you, you can also change your payment options if you need.

Locate a reliable copy of Windows XP edition (probably of OEM type) which corresponds to the edition you have installed (friend, family member, IT person knowledge generally trust.)  The CD is not so important (beyond that matches the edition of the product and the type) as the product key.  Make a copy of this CD and keep it safe.  You can use the CD to install the operating system on your own you gave have the product key - which should be obvious on the physical computer itself (on a sticker that will tell you even what is the edition of WIndows XP) or you can shine using Belarc Advisor (free download) and gain the advantage of having a good list of what is installed other keys to series/product numbers and a list of your hardware for more drivers later.
