Yoga 2 Pro - wake up sleep cause

Hey guys,.

Just recently bought a Y2P (256 GB i7) less than a week ago. The problem that I face now is when the laptop from sleep, generally at least 15 minutes of sleep, I wake, the laptop will go up but then the system is considerably lag/slow & would become completely insensitive so to the point that it seems as if it freezes. I'm not able to move the mouse (mouse trackpad & usb) & keyboard keys do not work/register more. By pressing the power button does not have the computer laptop back to sleep but I see everything on the screen where I left before closing the cover & the laptop goes into mode 'sleep'. Only way I can recover from this problem is to do a hard reset by holding the power button until the powers of the machine off & then start it back up.

Also, I've updated the BIOS & updates Windows to a clean installed Windows 8.1 (differs from a factory reset) to avoid vulnerability Superfish. All the drivers have been installed (confirmed by the Device Manager).

Other people have the same problem & have everything possible fix for this problem? Any help on this would be much appreciated.

You can try this.

Go to control panel > Power Options > change Plan settings (for active mode)

Click on change advanced power settings

Under the sleep option, change the option hybrid sleep (the opposite of everything that is now defined for on battery and Plugged In)

In addition, do not know if fastboot is enabled on your laptop, but you can try disabling. Google "Disable fastboot victory 8.1" and you will get the results.

Let me know if any of those who have helped you.

  • Surface Pro wake from sleep

I have a brand new Surface Pro with cover Type.  If I allow him to go to sleep, either by closing the lid or leave it empty, he's not waking up.  I experience the problem even if the device is plugged in or not.  It happens also with and without covering type.

In order to get the Surface Pro to come back, I have to turn it off completely by holding down the power button.  Then he starts back and complain that a problem with Windows close unexpectedly.  Other that update applications 'Modern' in construction, Office 2013 and Microsoft Updates installation, no other changes have been made to the unit.  The device worked properly for about 2 days after the initial Setup, then this problem started to happen.

Has anyone else seen this problem and find a resolution?

I had exactly this problem on a 3 Surface Pro running Windows 10 build 10041. Has been fully reproducible. Close cover keyboard to release SP3 in mode 'sleep' and then it was impossible to wakes again. Windows button vibrated in a hurry but other than SP3 do not wake up. I tried everything, ranging from disable sleep mode connected to the power switch, Hibernate, turn but the problem remains. Very annoying.

What solved it for me was to install the driver of Surface Pro 3 pack. You only need the Surface Pro pack driver 3 March 2015 (~ 150 MB) here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=38826

After installing this pack my SP3 wakes up from sleep again. Hope this helps some.

  • Yoga 2 Pro - sleep setting missing after upgrade to Windows 10 RTM

Here's another interesting event. I use sleep mode all the time, that's what happens "when I close the lid. After upgrade Windows 8.1 for Windows 10 RTM, "standby mode" is not found. "when I close the lid" and related parameters in power management have an empty selection, sleep does not appear in the drop-down list of choices. It seems revenue to "Put to sleep" by default. By reading the other Windows 10 forums I know sleep is supported in Windows 10, how can I get that back? I tried to download and install the latest driver for power management (as dated 17/07/2015, I think) but I get the message that "you already have a newer version of the driver installed", I cancelled out of the facility. Are there newer drivers planned for soon? I can shoot with Microsoft Basic Display Driver (3200 x 1800 only, see my other ad in the forum), although I used a different resolution in Windows 8.1 and hibernate instead of mode 'sleep', but I hope that these features will work soon. Thank you, Bob

    * Sleep is back * after having solved my problem of graphics driver. Fixed. See the thread «driver Intel HD graphics on Yoga 2 Pro fail after...» "for more details. Cheers, Bob

  • Yoga 2 Pro advertising plays when the computer goes to sleep

Hello, so I recently bought a Yoga 2 Pro and have almost no complaints. One small thing I noticed is that my computer from time to time upon entering the mode "ensure" with the lid open, instead of displaying a black screen as planned will instead show an advertisement stating "4 NEW MODES, LENOVO YOGA 2 PRO" and will begin to show a video advetisment.

I would rather the computer make a traditonal sleep mode when the lid is left open, how can I disable this advertising? I tried to play with the sleep settings in windows, but not luck. This occurs when both on battery and plugged in. I also tried to uninstall the software of Lenovo's Transition, but that did not help. Any ideas? It seems that the computer may be in demo mode? Thanks for the help.

Good afternoon and welcome to the community.

    This is the default screensaver.

To change it, right-click on the desktop, select Customize, then select the screen saver at the bottom right. You can then make changes in the window that appears.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite Pro P300-276: Win 7 intermittently wake mode 'sleep'

    Hey,.

After an upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, my laptop has been intermittently summer wake up sleep mode.
It is not entirely boot or show anything on the screen, and after 10-15 seconds will return to the sleep mode.
All the network devices were not set to wake up the laptop on the activity.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Have you disabled wake up LAN in the BIOS? In addition, you must also disable USB Sleep & Charge and wake up keyboard.

Check your BIOS for these options and disable them. For me, it worked! :)

  • Yoga 2 Pro - keyboard is not activated when you open the lid of the screen after sleep

My Yoga 2 Pro has very often problems to activate the keyboard when I open the screen.

    That's what I do:

    -work with Yoga 2 Pro

-Close all applications and after that, I close the screen

-After some time (maybe a few minutes or several hours) I open the screen

-It will take a few seconds until the screen is turned on (which is expected)

-at least 50%, the rest keyboard disabled. The backlight cannot be activated and the laptop does not notice any key. I'm unable to log :-(

-J' I need to close the screen, it takes a few seconds - and when I open the screen for the second time, the keyboard is enabled - not always, but usually. But sometimes the keypad remains disabled, although I try the procedure several times. If that happens, I need to restart the machine.

All the drivers are up to date.

@Lenovo: Please indicate how to solve this problem! It's very annoying open-close-open-close-open-... the display up to what the keyboard is finally activated!

    Kind regards

    Oliver

  • Yoga 900 wake from sleep

    Hello

My 900 Yoga has awakened from his sleep in my backpack many times. I tried to find a setting to disable the keyboard while the computer is in sleep, but I couldn't find one. I asked support about this problem and they are not too a solution. I asked the agent I spoke with to pass along my request to the technical department and he agreed to do. Is it possible for me to solve this problem?

  • Yoga 3 Pro: speaker stopped working (headphone jack still works)

Recently bought Yoga 3 Pro (Windows 8.1) the Lenovo Web site (2 months ago).

The speaker worked fine until yesterday. All of a sudden, the speaker stopped working, after I used the headset.

Now, only the helmet works and no sound can get out of the enclosure.

I updated the driver from RealTek speaker to a new version 9/2014. It did not help.

Does anyone have an idea on what could be the cause and how to fix it?

    Thank you!

My problem has been resolved to back the audio driver (which has been updated
through Windows Update automatically) to the factory default. The speaker
works again once the default driver has been reinstalled.

Now, one thing to note is that you must also disable the automatic
"update driver in" System Properties "==>"Material"==>"Device"tab
Installation settings"==> no, select"Let me choose what to do"==> and
Then select "never install driver from Windows Update." and ensure
"Automatically obtain the device app and info provided by your device.
Reference the manufacturer"is checked. This will not prevent the driver gets automatically
modified by Windows Update after your next reboot.

I hope this helps fix your situation also.

BTW, the likelihood of a material defect (speaker) is very very low...

    Good luck!

  • Yoga 2 Pro - cursor flashes when moving on some programs

I have a Yoga 2 Pro with Windows 10. Some programs (for example Thunderbird, LibreOffice), the cursor flashes when moving on the program window. I made sure my screen and touchpad drivers are up to date as well as the BIOS of my laptop. What else could be the cause? It's a bit irritating.

Mod edit: System model added to the front of the subject line to improve visibility / clarity.

Went before and refreshed; things seem to work fine now. I guess the moral is 'don't do an upgrade directly from Windows 8.1 to 10'.

  • Acrobat XI very slow on Yoga 3 Pro

I noticed that Adobe Acrobat XI is very slow on the Yoga 3 Pro. More precisely lag when zooming in and out, panning, scrolling and fullscreen. This is particularly evident with full screen and quite annoying in tablet mode. However, with the same files PDF using the Microsoft Reader application does NOT have this delay.

What I then discovered is that this has something to do with the Core M processor and get its limited power. If you change the power plan in OneKey high performance optimizer (from symmetrical, for example), Acrobat becomes suddenly quite catchy.

Mode Tablet, if you just want to read a PDF file (and use Acrobat), you need not 'high performance', in order to extend unfortunately bad Yoga 3 Pro, you want to put in balanced or Power Saver - that should still be enough to read PDF files, but it is not the case with Acrobat XI unfortunately.

I don't know what CPU limiting, of the power management feature is causing this issue in Acrobat, but I thought I would post this because I couldn't find anything on the internet about this issue.

Yes, the CPU is a bit of a brake on the Y3P and Acrobat is not the lightest suite. Although in principle, balanced expected clock upwards at full speed under load.

Have you checked the minimum/maximum values of CPU on the profile balanced in the Advanced Power Options?

I'm also a fan of reading with SumatraPDF; It relies on the muPDF Super light and super fast to make PDF files, but does not support the PDF editing features or fanciful as forms.

  • Yoga 2 Pro stutters when you play videos

    Hey guys,.

I was wondering if anyone else has this probem stuttering when I look at videons on the yoga 2 pro? I configuring i5/256/8 GB of ram, but really, watch videos should not be a problem for the configuration even lower?

    Any help would be appreciated.

It was just a normal 480 resolution on youtube video. He had nothing to do with the settings manager energy wasn't endurance mode, cause I just use my laptop under normal parameters. Actually, I found another thread where the guy had the same problem, and fixed it by increasing the size of virtual memory file / page. I followed his instructions, and it seemed to have done the trick. Interestingly, the virtual memory is supposed to be 1 or 1.5 times your ram, but my virtual memory file size / page is only 1 GB from my 8gbs of ram. Maybe it has something to do with the lozenges of limitation, who knows! The solution/thread I found is here: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Windows-based-Tablets-and/Yoga-2-Pro-HD-playback-freezes-other-appl... I hope this helps someone out there.
