Yoga 2 + Win10 Synaptics driver plus BSOD

"Hello, last week I bought a new Yoga 2 13.

It came with Windows preinstalled 8.1 and I immediately upgraded to Windows 10 (after the update, I did a clean install).

Everything works perfectly... except for a 'small' problem: when I'm cold boot the computer and I get to the Windows 10 lock screen, if I try to unlock the screen by touching or clicking on the touchpad (Synaptics) 8 out of 10 times I get a blue screen of windows (DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION).

When the computer restarts, if I'm lucky I can touch the touchpad and the connection, but if not, I get another blue screen. Usually at the third reboot, everything's fine. The problem seems to occur more frequently at first start anyway.

After that I managed to log in, everything works perfectly, not a single question.

After much research, I understood that if the lock screen I do not touch the touchpad, but I unlock using the keyboard (or a connected external mouse), things works as expected without any BSOD.

I even started a distro Linux to be sure, and with that I can use the touchpad when I want without worries.

So, given this evidence it must be a problem with the Synaptics Touchpad drivers... I actually use the version 19.0.13.0 I got through Windows Update, which is the same version for Windows 10 available on the Lenovo Support Site's my model.

I've used Windows 8.1 for a few minutes, so I don't know if it has the same problem (even tried another Win 10 clean install).

Has anyone faced the same problem? Is there any solution for this?

For now, I'll try to remember not to use the touchpad to the lock screen, but if I accidentally touch after a suspension which will be no good :-)

I had a look, and I finally managed to get a reliable installation of Windows on my Yoga 2 13 10!

I have merged the information from the various threads and it's the last procedure, I used:

(1) clean, install Windows 10 witout any internet connection and create a local user account.

(2) install all drivers of Win10 from the Lenovo Web except Touchpad and Intel Management Engine site.

(3) install version Win8.1 of the touchpad and drivers Intel Management Engine.

(4) now it is possible to connect to the internet and download immediately to see the update of Windows 10 and hide the tool https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930 to hide the update associated with Lenovo Synaptics pointing device driver (it was not necessary to hide the update Intel ME... even if I installed an older version WU does not attempt to install a new one). If WU is faster than you, you can always go back to the old touch pad driver, and then hide the update.

(5) since the Synaptics config panel I had to disable the dashboard Swipe gestures, since they do not work as expected in W10 (infact they are not present in the W10 driver).

(6) I had to disable the automatic adjustment of brightness because it does not work very well and I had a lot of annoying flicker.

Now no BSOD more and I can surely break/recovery and stop without any problem, even with USB devices attached. Tablet mode ok woks.

Finally, after more than a month of purchase, that I managed to get a reliable system, I can work with... Fortunately I had another computer to do my work stuff, but I think that things should be a lot easier...

  • Touchpad stop woking after Synaptics driver installation

2 days ago, I installed the new Ethernet, WWAN, camera, wireless, Audio, graphics drivers from the HP site and also the latest version of the BIOS and the Synaptics touchpad mouse and stick mouse stopped working, if I remove the Synaptics touchpad driver works (very slow), if I reinstall the Synaptics driver again it will stop working , I tried different versions of the HP Synaptics driver support site and nothing, as soon as it is installed the touchpad will stop working. I deleted the driver WWAN and camera, but nothing happening always the same. If I reboot in BIOS mode than the touchpad works very well, so it is not a problem of harware. If I check the properties of the mouse there is no label of Synaptics. If I check the Device Manager, it's all good.

Yesterday, I applied the approach Hard Reset (remove AC, battery and press power for 30 seconds) and problems solved, thank you

  • Tecra R850 - display driver problem - BSOD

    Hello

I have a Tecra R850 with the ATI HD 6450 M and every now and again it crashes and BSOD appears.
I have observed that mainly happens when playing flash videos.
After reviewing the events system, I discovered that there is a problem with the display adapter driver.

The said event system is perhaps a solution [here: http://wer.microsoft.com/Responses/Response.aspx/21682/en/5.1.2600.0.00000000.9.9?SGD=13feb1cd-4c8b-4c3a-aeee-ca4ca2c99729]

This Web page indicates that it is a bug in the driver and I need to upgrade to the latest driver to solve problem, and it provides a link to the ATI Web page.

I downloaded the drivers from ATI Web page and the installation program indicates that it is not compatible with Toshiba laptops.
I checked the Web from Toshiba site and I already have the last (and only) driver for my graphics card.

As it appears on the Web page, there is a bug in the driver, but Toshiba seems not having published an update of the pilot despite Ati...

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you
    Jose.

    Hi Jose

Are you using the original Toshiba pre-installed Windows or your own version?
Display driver original included in the original recovery image is tested, so you shouldn't have trouble with basic stuff like flash video playback.

Since when did you notice this problem? Can you give us an example when this happens?
    You have installed updates?
To be honest, I can't imagine that this issue is on the first day of use.

  • Qosmio G50 - Windows XP SATA Driver and BSOD

    Good evening to all...

I bought a Qosmio G50 and am frustrated with Vista. I want to load XP 32 on the system. Here are the configuration information:

    Model name: Qosmio G50
    Part number: PQG55C-01R039
OS version: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1
    BIOS version: Version 1.70
    CPU: Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00 GHz
IDE Outspends: Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    IDE devices: FUJITSU MHZ2320BH G1

    I downloaded the driver SATA here: ['Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller' | http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProductID=2101&DwnldID=1675 9 & strOSs = 44 & OSFullName = Windows * % 20XP % 20Professiona l & lang = eng]

The driver info indicated that it supports the "Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller"...

I use a Windows XP Corporate CD with SP3 slipstreamed in there. I copied the SATA drivers on a floppy disk and use the F6 option to load the SATA drivers. I was able to select the correct driver, then proceed with the installation a little and then get a BSOD:

    Stop: 0x0000007B (0XF78D2524M, 0XC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Hello!

    > Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Yes, you have downloaded the wrong driver.

This BSOD is a known problem, then you can also find an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3ben-us%3B324103&x=8&y=14

Then take a look at the Intel Web site again and download another driver.

    Good bye

  • Equium L20-197: Re-install its driver gives BSOD

    Morning,
I have a Tosh laptop on my bench I am re-construction using the supplied disc that came with the laptop.
Drivers appearing on the said drive seem to be much use proverbial chocolate firewall.

First I tried to install display drivers that did not work until I downloaded a new game on the site of tosh.
His era was the following (that was fun) the supplied drivers do not have to give a message from microsoft bus driver should be installed.
Installed a ms patch for I hope to fight against that and no, it didn't work.
So I downloaded the audio drivers from the site Web of Tosh... Installed 1 2 3 bang bsod (blue screen of death) which was nice.
Then I thought that maybe the recovery was questionable, so I recovered the laptop once again the above procedure and reached the same conclusion.

Can anyone shed light on what I start to have caught up with her.

I read somewhere that there is a specific order that driver had to be installed, but could not find the order anywhere...

A quick repsponse would be appreciated!

    Hello

Have you used the Toshiba Europe site to download the drivers?
I ask because I visited the site and chose the Equium L20.
I have a list of drivers available for download, and surprise, surprise, I received a statement of installation

So I recommend you to follow the guidelines in this document

  • HP Envy 15z-Q100: Touchpad/Synaptics Driver to want 15z = complete instability

I have upgraded to Windows 10 and my cursor was unstable.  He jumps and moves, sometimes when I scrol it's slow, sometimes it's fast.

I went into control panel - mouse - Advance Settings - settings of HP control area.  Sensitivity adjustment by disabling all the options, I started and there was no improvement.

I came here and downloaded the latest driver.

I went to the Device Manager and deleted the installed driver delivered with Win10, and restarted my computer.  Now the cursor was seriously going crazy around the screen, with no no shooting.   Using the capabilities of the touch screen I was able to install the latest driver and reboot.

The slider was a bit more stable, but remains unacceptable.  I went into the settings of HP control area (noticing he has fewer options than the driver supplied with Win10) I put once more on disabling the options and my settings.

But it is still unacceptable.  The cursor indicates instability, and when I left click it POPs and clicks on the wrong target.

    Help, please.

  • Nvldd.sys driver failure BSOD HELP!

Problems persisted since 9/14 (the last Patch Tuesday). Initially, I thought it was MSUpdate (which I still think is).

BSOD: error 0 x 0000016, nvldd... failed pilot sys.

Windows will be BSOD randomly (and whenever I have to use a graphic intense program like WoW).  Now my computer can't even stay idle at the office without going to the blue screen later.  Last week I got bad to get same Windows to start.  I can enter the mode safe mode with disabled graphics driver.  Is that what I can do to save my computer (still usable?) or do I just get my data back and buy a new laptop?

I tried to replace, versions of old and new of uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers.

I opened my laptop cover and dusted everything on.  I tried to find solutions to this problem and everyone pretty much returned saying "just buy a new computer.

After a week to try to help out myself, I am at my wits end. School semester has just started, and I really need my laptop to be in good shape, not the BSOD'ing when I load: MSWord or Facebook!  This platform used to run WoW on almost full settings, two weeks ago and now he can't handle of Bejeweled Blitz, a Facebook application running.

  • Tecra S5-10 X - CD/DVD drive causes BSOD with new CD not burned.

    Hello!
I have a laptop TECRA S5-10 X with windows XP (downgraded from Vista)

My computer has trouble dealing with discs not burnt from the interface of microsoft. Make a right click on the drive takes more than 20 seconds to answer. After 2 - 3 times (sometimes right the first time) with or without ejecting the disc, I get a blue window of death "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

I tried the Toshiba DVD Diagnostics passes.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver.
I tried to do repair for windows
I installed service pack 3 for Windows XP
    I've updated the bios
I've also updated the (Microsoft says it might be useful) NvIdia video card driver

    Nothing helps.

I'll be very happy to get any other suggestions that will help me avoid a reinstallation of windows.

    Thax in advance

    H.

I think you should try to remove the top and lowerfilters as Akuma said. This often solves problems with the CD/DVD drive.

In the worst case, you must reinstall Windows.
You also have this problem only with XP or Vista?

I doubt that it is a hardware problem so reinstall Windows could solve it.
