  My desttop computer was set to automatically sync with a folder and its subfolders on another office in a network.  The purpose of the sync has been backup.  Today, the other computer had a malfunction serious and removed about 20 subfolders. I failed to realize that my computer was still periodically synchronize with the computer 'bad '. Suddenly, after about 10 minutes, subfolders missing from the 'bad' computer have now disappeared from mine as well! Immediately, I went to offline and off the synchronization mode once the horse was out of the barn.

  Yes, you can stop the clock, but no, you cannot cancel it (unless you have a backup of the files stored elsewhere).  You will need to retrieve the files and folders by using shadow copies (if you have one) or with the recovery software from 3rd party (see below for more details).

  The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

• How can reduce iCloud mobile data consumption?

  I'm on a cellular connection and must reduce my use of data. I turned off just hard iCloud on my Mac, but when I look at turn off data of Pixelmator, Pages, Mail, etc. I am notified that I will lose all data stored on my computer. I don't want to save the data to iCloud - I manage my backups separately using the other services and practices (local external drive, USB key, safe, dropbox, etc.).

  Can I transfer my data locally so it is not removed when I change this setting? Why is Mail even store anything on iCloud when it is a local client? I don't like on the removal of files on iCloud so I don't want that they are synchronized between devices.   Looks like you store documents on iCloud drive. You can save all your data files on your computer and disable iCloud drive and other features that you do not use.

  For iCloud Mail, this is an account IMAP and must be enabled in order to use your email from apple.

  Then explain exactly what data you store in iCloud? Notes, documents, etc.

  I can tell you why you can t install a version of Vista with product key. It's pretty easy because the button on the lower side on the laptop belongs to the preinstalled OEM version and t can be used by a commercial version.

  However, I think the best way to back up your data would be that you put the HARD drive in an external HARD drive enclosure, and then you can back up your data on another PC or laptop.
  These cases of disc HARD external are cheap but very useful.
