@timvdh, welcome to the forum.

Here is the computer Service and Maintenance Guide .  Beginning on Page 26, you will find the work center card.  It gives you the specifications of compatible graphics cards.  The first specification which is very important, it's the card mother must have UEFI, which I believe you have since you were using a GTX 750Ti.  As you can see, there will be two video cards as long as they require no more total 150W.  I think that most of the GTX 1070 cards require a 500W power supply, however.  Also, you want to measure the space where the card will be installed: rear plate measurement i/o on the front of the case.  These cards are usually very long.

If all of the above conditions are met, I believe that the card should work.

Since it is small and tight. You want the kind of style of card fan. If you don't get that kind. You are trapping just hot air inside your case and will make the card running more hot. I have a GTX 1080 founders edition in mine and it fits well.

Now, you know for SURE!  If you go with the 1070. Change the power supply. I had the same stock 500w version in mine. As you know. It has a 8 pins and power connectors 6 pin with this power supply. The 1080 requires an 8 pin. So, I plugged this in there.

When I put a load on it. My PC will restart. I knew it was a power supply problem. So, I tried to take the 2 6 pin power plug and those with the power adapter 8 pin supplied with the card used. While it worked. There was a groan of excessive coil of card and he ran hotter inside.

I imagine pushing the stock PSU to many. I changed out immediately after that a SuperNOVA P2 EVGA 650w PSU and its dead silent now.

No equipment issues at all. Photo attached.

the intel GPU on board works with it, once it's plugged in? or should it be disabled?

Do gtx 1060 have Optimus? I don't see the intel hd 530 in the nvidia control panel more

They both should be listed, but having this option disabled no damage either. Make sure you have the correct settings of the BIOS for it to use both. Optimus does not necessarily in x 51 R3 because she have different outputs for the cards and they don't share is not the same path of video.

live chat was not very helpful. product ID is DTSXNAA028. and the card motherboard intel chipset h81. Thankss!

    sak03,

You forgot to enter the exact model of your gtx750ti.  There are probably a hundred different gtx 750ti that are different sizes and have different power requirements.

Here are some tips / the general criteria on the question of if a graphics card will work with your tc-705

    1. is that it adapted?  It is not always easy to determine this.  Often the marketing sheet (dimensions) on sites like Amazon is inaccurate.  We must look on the manufacturers Web site.

    2. your diet has enough power?  If you buy a gtx 750ti which requires a power cable 6 pin, then it won't work with your diet.

    3. will the UEFI card? (most of the 750ti are UEFI and is therefore your tc-705, then Yes, it should be compatible)

    4. do you have a sufficient cooling and ventilation?  I don't think that you will have any problem here because the gtx 750 ti is a map of maxwell.

On my TC-605, which has the same motherboard Acer/Intel H81 as your tc-705, but probably another case, I installed a graphics card with the dimensions below and he did, barely, with 2 or 3 millimeters to spare.

Most GTX 750ti requires only power 300 watt and power just pull slot PCIe x 16 motherboard.  However, some 750ti GTX also require a 6-pin power cable.  Your Acer OEM power isn't a 6-pin power cable.

If ever, you improve your diet, it uses a non modular standard ATX power supply.  Most semi-modular power and modular supplys fails in your case because they are a little too big.

You can try searching this forum also.

If I was I'm going to buy a graphics card for your tc-705, I would buy the card (GTX950) in the link below and it must adapt... and it's $109 after rebate.  It should also work with your current diet.  The dimensions on the amazon website are inaccurate.

    https://www.Amazon.com/DP/B01FL6SYZU/ref=psdc_284822_t3_B014VHZ4IU

If for some reason, I needed to upgrade power supply, I would buy the ps in the link below.  It is a very good diet.

    https://www.Amazon.com/SEASONIC-80plus-ATX12V-supply-SSR-360GP/DP/B008XEYT5M

Important note: ASUS has two gtx 950 minis.  One, it takes a 6 pins and we didn't.  The map link below does not require a 6 pins and so should work with your current diet.

    https://www.Amazon.com/DP/B01FL6SYZU/ref=psdc_284822_t3_B014VHZ4IU

Edit: It is important that you use the Geforce experience to optimize your game settings... IMO.

  • GTX 980 and no splash screen

I have a ti GTX 980 flashed running in a Mac Pro(on external power) 2010. It shows only a splash screen, however, so I attach a No 4 k monitor DVI port. Monitors Dell P2415Q 4 k (except for a random time) show no video until the initialization is complete. This means that I must keep an old DVI monitor on all the time to get not only the splash screen but even to get any video output at all on end of startup. Without a monitor DVI the Dells don't show any video and go mode 'sleep'. Bootcamp Windows 7 displays the same behavior. Any ideas?

How the P2415Q is normally connected? If you try HDMI then try rather Displayport.

Now the 900 series cards are tested very well with the MPE engine and acceleration of time. I have not seen any limitation, including the effects. So I don't know where people are facing problems. Acceleration of EI is Raytracer and on track. Do not expect in the Nvidia drivers to maintain the AE version has even and I would be surprised if the new maps to work with it since Adobe is emerging. Very little use at this stage and C4D with octane is much better especially for GPU acceleration.

  • GeForce GTX 780M and After Effects

I just got a new iMac with the GeForce GTX 780 M 4 GB of VRAM, and I was hoping I could use the 3D effects of Ray-tracing. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the option to upgrade to the GPU is grayed out. I have not installed anything except After Effects since I have the machine, so maybe I need to install CUDA? Where would I get the drivers for it so that I could try.

    David Faircloth

This card is not on the list of the cards tested and supported for After Effects for the GPU of the 3D rendering engine acceleration traced to the RADIUS.

If you use after effects CC (12.1), you can ignore this fact and choose the option «Enable GPU untested, unsupported...» "to try to use the card anyway. Details:

  • GTX 570 and first CS 5.5: engine reading Mercury does not seem to work

    Hello world

I get choppy playback and a red bar on first CS5.5 whenever I apply to a clip of one of these effects: no effect on the deformation, the noise alpha folder or the Magic Bullet Looks 2.

The sequence is an AVCHD 1080/24 p, first preset and multimedia files are AVCHD to a GH2 (1080/24 p to 24 Mbps).

My system is more or less like this:

    • Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3
    • Processor: Core i7 2600 k
    • RAM: 16 GB DDR3 Kingston HyperX 1600
    • Graphics card: Gigabyte GTX 570 1280 MB (it comes factory overclocked)
    • (Only a screen 1920 * 1080 is attached to the graphics card right now)
    • Hard drives: 3 Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB set out the following:

OS c:, Program Files, swap file

g: the project files and media

    h: Previews

And now the symptoms: sequence In an AVCHD 1080/24 p with clips AVCHD 24Mbps, all in the same video track, whenever I have applied an effect of alpha folder, Magic Bullet Looks, or noise of deformation (and probably no hardware acceleration effect) render bar changes from yellow to red and I get choppy playback unless I set the resolution of reading to 1/2. If I change the playback engine Mercury adjustment of the hardware to the software as usual. So I think that the GTX 570 does not work with first CS5.5 for some reason any. In this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3736541) some people had even complained. Also feels quite slow. For example, a clip of 30 seconds with an applied effect of Magic Bullet Looks takes 150 seconds to pass from red to green.

I tried to completely uninstall the nvidia drivers and installing the last to no effect. I'm kind of frustrated, I chose this system and CS5.5, thinking that it was going to be a smooth experience and I'm a little disappointed right now. If all goes well, there will be a fix for this. Or maybe I am doing something wrong myself.

Thank you in advance and sorry to bother you with this.

    See you soon.

    Diego

It depends on your memory and the degree to which pass you the RA, EN, AE and PS and others. With 24 GB, it is not really important. With 12 GB but switching limited and the use of AVCHD material, it is not terribly important. Material Red4K and no more than 12 GB it can pay to move the pagefile to H.

Therefore, there is no clear answer. It depends on your workflow, your source, your memory material.

  • EVGA GTX 480 and Mercury playback engine

I think that my first Pro CS 5.5 supports the GTX 480, BUT the Mercury playback engine is only the software.  Any ideas on how to get hardware acceleration work?  If it is not supported by Adobe is there a Hack to replace the software only.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello

Make sure that you have the video card is entered correctly.  It should be GeForce GTX 480 is case-sensitive.

Also, try to put it on the first line of the file cuda_supported_cards.txt.

I assume that you are running Windows 7.  If you are, follow these steps:

    1. which Start in the lower left corner of Windows 7 icon.

    2. then click on all programs , and then click the Accessories folder.

    3. look in the Accessories folder for Notepad and RIGHT click on Notepad

4 the left, click on run as administrator

    5. When Notepad opens, click on file , then Open

    6. go to the folder Program Adobe Adobe first Pro CS5.5

    7. find the file: cuda_supported_cards.txt then click on it to select the file, then click Open

    9. you will see a list of maps, add your video card to the list like this GeForce GTX 480

    10. click on file , then click Save.  Then quit Notepad.

Now start first CS5.5 and you should be able to put it to GPU acceleration.
