  My Z3 Compact went completely insensitive to touch controls.

  I have read other messages and followed the instructions for PC Companion-implementation to date - repair, but without any change.

  Since the touchscreen is insensitive it is not possible to boot in safe mode. The only operational functions are cable power switch, the volume buttons and the camera. All that requires the operation of the screen is impossible, and I'm now trapped in the "language selection" page, unable to make orders.

  The phone was working perfectly and then without being abandoned or badly treated in anyway simply stopped working.

  If you have tried a repair of software without change, I recommend that you get your phone reviewed by a technician at your nearest authorized service center. I suggest you contact your Local support for more information on how to proceed with this.

  My digitizer is also screwed, can use only the bottom right of my screen, so basically it doesn't help. Sorry if this has been posted already, but someone has an idea how much Sony would charge for them to seek redress? I saw someone saying that they charged about £101 to repair a screen but do not know if this included the digitizer. I dropped my phone to about 30cm, it is a shame, my Xperia T has been abandoned at least50 times 2 years I got it and the only issue I've ever had was battery Sony replaced free of charge.
  I know that my warranty is intact if I stared through Sony, but if it's going to cost twice the price elsewhere it is just not worth it. I know that for a specific quote, I send it to them I don't want to pay £21.80 to return my phone if the cost is too high.

  I understand, but they need to know if it is more than just the screen. Remember, if get you it fixed somewhere otherwise it will void the warranty.

  I wondered about a problem I had with... sometimes when the computer wakes mode standby (on battery only) the colors of the screen become very washed out, but eventually subside to normal. It is a normal phenomenon with the T410 display, or is this something I should be concerned? Otherwise, the T410 seems to be a computer very solid.

  I have a user who is running a HP Compaq SFF 6300 Pro and Windows 7 Pro, all of the latest patches.  We have set a second monitor to the display port using an adapter VGA DisplayPort cable / and the image is washed out.  Gray things clear looko on white look on the displayport VGA port.  I tried three different monitors, two HP L1911 and a L1910.  All look the same, washed on the displayport, but look good on the VGA port.

  I also tried two displayport different VGA adapters.  The adapters are HP DisplayPort / VGA adapters, p/n: 752661-001, recently purchased.

  Any suggestions?  We tried to play with the settings of the monitor, but he could not do better.  Are there settings in the system that I should try?  Different drivers maybe?

  Resolved, I have think (?)... Talked to HP Technical Support and it turns out that the HP DisplayPort adapter we sold is not compatible with computers of model we have, go figure.  Never would have guessed that an adapter like this one could have problems of compatibility beyond the types of connector.

  Shot of an old adapter from a different computer on the same model and it is much better.

  Now wait on my seller to return to me on an Exchange.

  Don't know what that happen but the icon of the camera on the lock screen suddenly disappeared and camera quick launch button does not work as well. Can I still use the camera from apps however.

  Turn on the device? You don't see anything on the screen? In this case, a USB OTG cable is your answer. You can connect a mouse or a keyboard if necessary.

• Z3 Compact yellow line to the bottom of the screen

  Hi, a yellow line appeared in the corner at the top right of my screen.  It is about 20mm long and about 3 mm wide.  It is not a straight line.  I want to send to Sony for repair under warranty but don't want to use the excuse that the phone fell as this is what was implied when I talked to customer support.  The phone has never been dropped or had a bang. I tried the software reset.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  If the developer options is not checked and the problem persists, I can only advise a service center check the device.

  I'm having a problem with my Z5 Compact when unlock the screen. (Especially in dark rooms). Colors are completely "washed" for a few seconds, until the Adaptive brightness goes to work.

  Sometimes in a dark room (as the bedroom) there is a chance of 50% or more to do so.

  To reproduce this: you need to use 'adaptive brightness' under settings. And you need to unlock your phone several times. I recommend you to do using Tapatalk (dark theme).

  I am posting this because I received an update yesterday from 32.0.A.4.11 to 32.0.A.5.32 and the problem is still there.

  Should I replace my unit? Or simply wait another firmware?

• Mac Book Pro cracked screen inside, no damage to the outside

  I woke up this morning with mac book open and off. I have seen that my screen was quite dirty and decided I have to clean fingerprints on it. I used a Clorox and a paper towel to clean. Once I finished I turned an and saw my screen cracked. When I rubbed my finger on the screen it there's no indication on the front or the back of the screen he was hit there. It is only within the screen. I took it to apple and they said it was an accident, when I washed only the screen, as I did with several Mac Book Pro, I bought in the past. I have Applecare, but he does not apparently. No where else on my mac does show that I have damage and I did a diagnosis, and there is nothing else wrong with my system. They said that I am $ 800 and it's just scandalous due to a stream for the super screen thin on the inside. I don't know where to go from here, but I've used Apple products in my life and being a college student, I don't have that kind of money to fix. This problem should of never happened. I do all my graphics and coding on my Mac and have always loved. I also have a case of black Tech21 surrounding for added protection so something like this has not happened. Please if there is any help I can get here, it would be highly appreciated.

  Make your case to a store manager, but it is difficult to claim "just happened by itself." Be nice to the staff of the store, you are basically arguing for special treatment.

  It does not mean you did anything on purpose, but the MacBook was responsible, if you are responsible for. The cause could be anything from a drop of abrupt changes in temperature. Who knows...

• How to set the contrast of the screen of the iMac?

  Bought a new light to the office where I have the iMac 27 ". Unfortunately, the light produced by this new device shines more directly on the screen of the iMac, does the old light.   You have a "automatically adjusts brightness" setting in system preferences > displays > display...?

  Automatically adjust the brightness or Ambient light compensation (depending on your screen)

  If your Mac has detection of ambient light, you can have the brightness of the screen automatically adjust according to the current light conditions.
