  I recently bought an Aspire E5-573 and I use a new headphone Sennheiser PC3 and an audio input/output separator.

  I have a lot of background noise when recording - on another laptop, I can just check the "noise removal" and it works fine - but here the only improvement options are 'personal call', 'registration' and 'disable' - they do not solve my problem.

  I tried to install all the latest drivers from RealTek but I can't the noise suppression option... I see that this laptop is running ALC255 while my other running ALC269?
  Is there a way to get this noise removal option? Statistics is quite significant and prevents me to make quality recordings.

  Is attached a photo of what I see and what I was hoping to get...

  It can be a crap shoot to non-Acer audio drivers working correctly.

  I use a DYNEX headset, which is a usb headset. It worked fine on windows vista 64 bit and I got my upgrade disk today. I have upgraded to windows7, but a few problems. My volume coming through my computer works very well. When I have my headphones plugged in where is the problem.  I use ventrilo for communication. A go by my President of helmets every time he gets static-y and rest like this for about a minute or until another sound comes through. People can hear me very well and clear. This is not a vent issue because static electricity occurs during all sounds, even the windows notification sounds. I've updated all the usb drivers and all windows update downloads. Any ideas?

  If you have all the updated drivers so you can check that it is compatible with Windows7.  Here is the link to the Compatibility Center.  You just make sure it is set as the audio device by default when it is plugged in.  Also, you have to go to the properties of the head set and ensure that no improvement is lit.  To do this, go to start > Control Panel > hardware and audio > manage Audio devices > select the headphones, and then click Properties > improvements.

  I have an Inspiron 7559, only with a port audio jack combined. I would like to use my headset, which has 2 jack (speaker and microphone) so I just bought an adapter like this. When I plug in and located in Dell Audio as "headphones (with microphone)" the speakers work, but barely: only the right speaker has sound, so I have to move a little out to work properly. In addition, the microphone does not at all, when I checked the sound entry (in Teamspeak, or steam) it gives only very strange - static noise.

  I checked the audio options of windows, there is only a single recording tool that is Realtek High Definiton Audio, but when I disconnect my headset to my computer, it is still there.

  Increase / decrease audio volume make a difference? Have you tried other headphones, or tried the helmet another PC, the noise only happen with Notepad, or follow the headset? Do you notice only the sound when using the headset?

  The big thing here is to make sure that the headphone is plugged, check to see if there is any give in the connection. Move the laptop to another location and see if the noise follows the laptop.  It could be something near the laptop which is the cause of the problem. If notice you the sound on the speakers try to download the drivers.

  I am currently using a headset (wired) Gioteck EX - 05 USB. The drivers installed perfectly (to my knowledge), and my recording devices in my PC recognizes that a microphone is there.   But when I go on youtube or playing games online I hear no sound. This happens especially when it is connected with the helmet.

What is strange, is my mic doesn't work, but both of my sound entries are, I can hear sound through my speakers and my helmet which is plugged into the front of my PC. It's as if my PC has somehow isolated both of my microphone inputs and only them turned off but who does not seem plausible given that I don't know that the whole card wouldn't work if there was a problem with her.
  I have uninstalled/reinstalled Realtek HD Audio Manager.
  I tried to update the drivers, but they say they are all 'up-to-date '.
  I feel there is something wrong with control pilots the microphone inputs on my PC. Strange thing is, I haven't changed anything the week last in terms of sound with my PC. I installed a new game, but that's all.
