Z600 and 760 GTX?

Hello
I'll buy a renovated z600 workstation soon and I have a question. I have a gtx spare 760 2 GB and it requires 170 w of power and has 2 slot 6pin. I know that there is only a single connector 6pin pcie in the Z600 and I would like to know if it is allowed to use a splitter (power to double pcie 6pin 6 pins) to power the graphics card by using the separator or if it's too risky for the power supply?

Use the cable splitter, this ensures that the graphics card is connected to the dedicated 12V rail

  • Acer G3120 and 760 GTX Preadator not start

Hello! I just upgraded my Acer Preadator G3120 with a new graphics card, the Asus GTX 760.

With the card installed, my computer starts normally, then gets stuck in the Acer logo screen. It will not load the installation cd and I can't enter the BIOS, despite the screen saying to normal "press Del to enter BIOS. If I reinstall my old card, my computer works normally.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a hardware problem, my motherboard and the power supply (by default) must be able to run the new card. I have the latest version of the BIOS, P01. A4.

    Please, any help?

GTX770 also do not work and it is the bios of your motherboard. IM in the same situation as you.

I tested several Nvidia card and none of them works above.

    The 560Ti work well.

Next time I know not why do not buy any computer of ACER brand.

I have not heard any upgrade laid down Acer bios.

I also tried a card radeon and R9280X work, but these cards have another problem.

Wish you happy hunting for your problem.

  • 760 GTX even power req as GTX 560TI for XPS 8300?

My XPS 8300 has a GTX 560 TI originally equipped.

IAM thinking of upgrading to a 760 GTX but all the messages suggest the Dell power supply will need to be upgraded. The thing is, when I look at the GeForce site for specifications, it says that both cards have the same characteristics of power, map max 170 watt and the power of 500 watts min, which is more that I understand Dell ships with, but Ive never had a problem with the 560, in fact the specifications of the Geforce show 210 watt for oem 560.

Don't you think that I'll be able to run the 760 if the 560ti has been authorized?

What about any other matter, I read such as to the incompatibility of the bios?

The XPS 8300 has the power of 460 watts.  The system provides up to 225 watts for video cards using 2 PCIe power connectors.  The Dell OEM GTX 560 Ti won't have the same characteristics as a retail card, however.  It is more likely uses less energy than the information you find on retail cards.   Theoretically, this should work since both have approximately the same energy consumption.  Have a 460 watt PSU vs having a 500-watt power supply will not make a difference here.  Dell POWER supply can most likely culminate at 500 watts in any case if necessary, but she won't be necessary.  It is up to you, but I wouldn't have a problem, give it a try.  Compatibility with a Dell bios or motherboard is another story and XPS models have had their fair share of it.

I have a 660 s Dell with just a 220 Watt power supply.  Two video cards, I used in this system have said that a requirement of POWER 400 watts PSU and both worked very well.  It's a difference of 180 watts compared to the 40 watts you have.  As long as you know what really are the electrical needs of the video card, you can essentially determine whether a map will work or not.

  • 760 GTX vs GTX 960... stick or twist?

Have done pretty well in my mind up on this, but for a sanity check, thought I would ask here for those who know.

I have a couple of PNY GTX 760 purchased just before Christmas at a cracking price. The plan is / was that they want to go in a couple of Dell T5810 I am about to install for a next project (Xeon 1620v3, 16 GB RAM, SSD 2 x 256-2133). I saw that the GTX 960 are now on the market, so should I return the 760's and upgrade to the 960's for a cost of about £40 (ish) by card, or stick with the 760 GTX because they are a solid card, which, from my understanding, is a very good balance with the rest of the system?

I already have 3 versions of hexagonal base of these systems operating with GTX 970 and have been very happy with them, but I know newer is not always better. There was limited reference points for GTX 960's (that I could find anyway), and they are mostly associated with games. I've seen some chatter around that fact that he is not a great leap forward on the 760 GTX, but how that translates to sue with Adobe and especially creative and Media Encoder? On the paper where the 760 has 256 - bit with a bunch of 192,2 Gbps memory bandwidth 960 is 128 bits with 112 GB/s. I know that Maxwell on more than Kepler improvements place for these stats through the end cards above, but put aside from the low power draw and heat it would really help in this case?

Then, stick or twist? My current thinking is stick with the 760's, because it is not worth the extra £'s.

Thanks in advance for all comments.

Well the GTX with several processors cores 1152 1024 and more than 760 band 192 against 112 GB/sec memory bandwidth make the 760 GTX a CURRENT winner.  If you are thinking to the future and you want HDMI 2.0 for future use, then go with the 960 GTX, but HDMI 2.0 involves 4K video and or card is well equipped in the 4K process.

  • V5 - 573G and installation GTX 850 M drivers

    I just bought a brand new Aspire V5 - 573G with an i5-4210 (HD4400) and a GTX 850 M.

On Windows 7 64 bit, I installed all the drivers are there (Intel USB 3.0, Intel Chipset, Intel WLAN + Bluetooth, Intel GFX, Audio Realtek LAN Realtek Realtek Cardreader and everything else I forgot to mention).

Overall, there is no other device recognized with missing drivers except "3D video controller" in Device Manager. When you try to install the mobile drivers (i.e. WHQL 337.88 or 340.43), Setup pauses 'Control system compatibility' with "this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.".

AIDA64 sees the 850M map very well. Theres no BIOS no option for optimus on / off or something. I don't understand why it won't work.

I'm already on the latest version of BIOS (2.28), which is expected to feature such... Can someone help me?

I just modded drivers and they are trying to install. I edited the nvami.inf and add these two lines in their respective sections:

    [NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1]
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1391.22CB.1043% = Section308, PCI\VEN_10DE & DEV_1391 & SUBSYS_079B1025

    [String]
    NVIDIA_DEV.1391.22CB.1043 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M - MODDED.

    they just installed successfully! YAY

for those who run in the same issue:
    1. find out the HW ID you card gfx:
    2. open the Device Manager and open the properties of your still be installed the graphics card (3D video controller)
    3. go in the Details tab, and then select hardware ID
    4 copy your ID of HW the mine is 'PCI\VEN_10DE & DEV_1391 & SUBSYS_079B1025 '.
    5. get the latest drivers. I used 340.43
    6. unzip or run once, and navigate to the unzipped directory (eg. C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\340.43\Win8_WinVista_Win7_64)
    7. Enter Display.Driver and edit a. INF. I used nvami.inf
    8. go to [NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1] (6.0 = Vista 6.1 = Win7, 6.2 = Win8, 6.3 = Win8.1) and find the DEV_ID of your HW ID. Mine is DEV_1391 of «PCI\VEN_10DE &DEV_1391& SUBSYS_079B1025»
9 copy the respectful line (only one of those that you find. I've had four containing this DEV_ID)
    10 AAAA increment by 1% NVIDIA_DEV.XXX. YYYY. ZZZZ %. In my case, it was '% NVIDIA_DEV.1391. " 22 CA. 1043%" and I changed it to '% NVIDIA_DEV.1391. " 22CB. 1043%.
    11. also update the SUBSYS of your HW ID example:
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1391.22CB.1043% = Section308, PCI\VEN_10DE & DEV_1391 &SUBSYS_22CA1043
    became
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1391.22CB.1043% = Section308, PCI\VEN_10DE & DEV_1391 &SUBSYS_079B1025
    12. copy the string % NVIDIA_DEV.XXX. YYYY. Scrolling, and ZZZ % passing down to the [String] section and add a new line that contains your new device. Be sure to leave out those pesky %. Example:
    NVIDIA_DEV.1391.22CB.1043 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M - MODDED.
    13. save the file
    14. launch the setup.exe in the upper level (a folder outside)
    15.?

  • A 760 GTX video card will fit in a Hp Pavilion p7-1534

    Hi all

I was wondering if a GTX 760 video card fit in a Hp Pavilion p7-1534, if I upgrade the power of 750w? Thank you!

    Ardin, welcome to the forum.

I have gone through two different brands of GTX 760.  One of them, ASUS, was 8.6 "in length.  The other, EVGA, was 9.5 "in length.  I suggest to take a piece of cardboard and make a template of the EVGA to see if it would fit.  It does not list an additional power connector, but I would like to add 1 "in length.  Personally, I like the cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.

You can easily get with a 600W at 650W power supply.  I love OCZ and Corsair.  They are passionate about quality with reasonalbe price.

  • 760 GTX n760 twin frozr not picked up

I recently built a pc to TigerDirect and added the GTX 760 n760 twin frozr as my video card. I downloaded the driver from msi site but when I tried to install the driver from the computer didn't pick up the video card. During the audit of the system, he said "this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." Any suggestions on what I can do?

-Have you checked the card snaps into the PCIe slot and two PCIe power connectors

    are in place?

-Dust may have gotten in the PCIe slot, given that you have built the machine. Try to clean the

slot with a small brush or can of compressed air to sit before the card.

-Try to disable the onboard graphics via BIOS and boot into Windows

with the GTX760 connected to the monitor (if you do not already).

    (Nvidia driver page).

(I assume that you have built the machine with intentions of adding a gpu and have an adequate

good quality food with a minimum of 500W.)

  • Huge performance impact after installing a new 760 GTX graphics card

With my motherboard Foxconn Renaissance x 56, I get a variety of RAM that is usable, but not wire after installing my new GTX 760.

When I run the Windows system it stutters and takes up to 15 minutes to start, there is a problem with some of the RAM not being usable and just sitting there while Windows doesn't know what to do with it.

However, when I run in Ubuntu, even without a graphics driver, the speed is incredibly fast.

The solution only hacky, I could find is to truncate the memory by the top of the first address, in my case, it is exactly 6 GB (0 x 26666666) using "bcdedit/set memory truncated 0 x 26666666", and it works well. But I'm unable to benefit from the additional RAM on the graphics card.

It's frustrating because my motherboard supports up to 24 GB of RAM, and the problem exists only in Windows and not Linux.

If anyone is interested in this problem, there is a fix. A representative of Foxconn sent Ms. some secret BIOS that is not available on the site.

  • ThinkStation C20 and GeForce GTX 570

    Hello

SRY for my bad English (German here). I have a C20 ThinkStation and today my Palit GeForce GTX 570 arrived. The problem now is that the delayed of the interface is on the side... and I can't close my C20 more... because of the thickness of the cable 8 and 6-pin.

Are there opportunities to bring the delayed behind the card with cables or something? Or any other GTX 570 with a delayed on the back side?

    Hope someone can help me.

  • The Alienware X 51 (r1) and 960 GTX

So, I recently bought myself a GTX 960 4 GB PNY version for my 51 x video card. When it arrived I plugged it got the drivers installed and everything worked out perfectly well. After about 2-3 days of use my computer closed out of no where and will not turn back. The power button was turned on low, then it was still power 330 Watt power supply I. I unplugged my 960 and put my old 555 back in, and then the computer would be new just turn around as usual, with no problem. I have already contacted PNY and Amazon and they have a replacement card on the way to me. But my question is... What could cause the card have this problem? It was not hot, reaching only 79 degrees Celsius under load. Is the problem of my computer being a R1? I have to update my BIOS? (Always running A06). Is it possible I got a faulty card and it just happened to die only after a few days of use?

My x 51 has the Intel i5 CPU 2320 3.0 ghz, 6 GB RAM and PSU of 330 watts.

All thoughts of my situation before my 960 replacement happens?

    Suggestion:

Upgrading the BIOS to A14 - Place on desktop & run.

Clean up the Nvidia drivers using DDU

Install the driver Nvidia 362,00 (Windows 10)

    • Drivers above 362,00 were unstable
    • Custom - installation leave both apps 3D and Geforce experience (to avoid the automatic updates)
    • You don't need: experience of GeForce, Nvidia network service, service of streaming of Nvidia, Nvidia backend, Nvidia ShadowPlay, Shield of Nvidia, Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D driver
    • Install and learn to use MSI Afterburner - Set Fan Curve - time monitor

After the new card install execution ePSA (F12)

Dell SupportAssist is very convenient for the driver and troubleshooting updates

    Good luck

  • use cc2015 760 GTX?

    Hi Adobe:

I use GTX 760 or GTX 760OC for 3D rendering engine after raytraced effects?

    He has co... Similarly? Work?

    Thank you very much!

The GTX960 will not accelerate the raytraced render engine. However, I don't know of many people who use the ray-traced rendering engine. I wanted to just make sure that you were aware in case you were one of the few people who have used it.

If you use something like 3-d element, this card will be great.

  • CS5 and NVIDIA GTX 400 cards (GTX285 is more current)

Given that NVidia has just published the GTX470 and GTX480 cards, is it reasonable to assume that they will work well with first Pro CS5?  The GTX285 is outdated at this point and not really when purchase is worth compared to the GTX470.

The new Mercury engine works pretty well on any of the newer Nvidia cards, with only 285 mentioned due to lack of time to test all the permutations?  I can't imagine that he would not be executed on a system GTX470 or GTX 260 for example, since the drivers are the same for most of the newer Nvidia cards.

MPE of hardware rendering is enabled that for certified cards and Fermi is not yet certified. It will come with a new version. If you have or purchase a card CUDA, which is not certified, it is not possible to enable rendering of MPE material. If this card will be certified within a few months, you wait for the release point for that.

Compatibility issues with HP desktop computers and video cards are generally limited to Windows 8/8.1 systems with secure startup. If you run Windows 7 in boot legacy, you should have no problem.
