10 c - end DME sales

Hello

We still have customers existing-DME-10 c, what is the EOS / EOL for this module?

What is the upgrade version of software always accommodating 10-DME-C module?

We have tried to insert a DME - 10 c module to a chassis version 10.1. Although the bos has been able to detect the module, the applications does not work, i.e. FC, FICON, GE.

Greatly appreciate your thoughts in this...

Thank you...

Hi, this module is already EOL/EOS. Here's the announcement:

  • 7925 problems of compatibility of end of sale and 8821 phone wireless

I support approximately 700 strongly Cisco 7925 G wireless phones used in our environment. Now that Cisco is suddenly their progressive, with the end of the sale in October, for the 8821 what are we left with some dilemmas that can potentially be very costly.  I was not able to find a lot of documentation either.  First of all, are office charging stations and a multi-line 7925 8821 phones-compatible phone?  Second, are batteries interchangeable 7925 and 8821?  Thirdly, the data sheet 8821 says its compatible with CUCM 9.1 (2) and later.  What this means that they will not work in my 8.5.1 environment?  Finally, the data sheet indicates the minimum version supported access point 7.0.250. What are the consequences if I access points with lower versions, like 7.0.235.3 or 7.0.240.0?

Does anyone have an entry or advise? It's greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Can anyone confirm, but I believe that charging stations or the batteries are compatible, if someone already has them both in their environment, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

As for the version, Yes, will not work on your version 8.x because they require 9.1 2 to work.

  • End of sale (EoS) / end of life (EoL) information on Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP

I have a question about the EoL (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collaboration-endpoints/eos-eol-po...) policy and the announcement of EoS/EoL Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints...).

According to the policy of the EoL, paragraph 4 ter, "after the first year and for the operating system SW - if available - we will offer bug fixes, versions of maintenance, workarounds or patches for a period of 4 years for operating system software."  Therefore, it is 5 years after the Date of the EoS, which could make the OS support close on 28/02/2017 EoL products.  I'm one to believe that a product and its applicable operating system are good as long as the company provides patches for bugs/flaws.

My question is about the migration of the product suggestions.  The suggestion is to "migrate to the Cisco EX Series (the EX60 or solution EX90) telepresence system."  However, when the announcement of EoS/EoL EX60 inspection, the "SW maintenance communicated End Date of: HW, SW OS ' 06 07, 2016.  Note that it is not the end of Maintenance SW verbiage in 1700 MXP EoS/EoL announcement.  I'm under the assumption that the new product within OS support only one model exceeded?  Why anyone would follow the suggested migration if I get fewer months support OS than an older model?  Should I go out of date on the announcement of the EoS/EoL, or use the 5-year rule as shown in the end of life policy.

If I am interpreting this wrong, please do not hesitate to correct me.  I am trying to understand the explicit verbiage in the end of life and ads EoS/EoL policy.

As the 1700 MXP announcement was published in 2011, at that time, the EX60/90 was a legitimate substitute. However years later, endpoints EX Series are now EOS, you should look at alternatives for the EX series instead.

The announcement of the EOS/EOL indicates a date of end of software support, you should go there. The reason that ad 1700 MXP does not list one could be that the date of assumption of the software had already spent or they simply don't have the list at the time. Looking at the latest version of the software for the 1700 MXP, it's F9.3.3 in 2014, I highly doubt, there will be another, but you never know given that other points of MXP endpoints that are not past their published end date of software support.

  • end of the year - cannot see the end of the year to close this window - is there a script to correct if I'm running an end of year after batches were posted for the new year?

Hello to someone there is shiny armor!

My name is Lynne and I have a few questions that I am struggling to solve

I am running Dynamics GP 10.00.1368 that seems to be sp4

When I try to open the sales year end closing screen (Tools > Routines > sales > year end close) nothing happens, even through I the end window of the year closing checked ADMIN_SALES_015 slot (period of the end of Sales Routines) for POWERUSER which is how I'm connected (his).

I assumed (wrongly) that I would be able to address this issue at a later date after the end of June (end of the year our) so I allowed everyone back on the system and displays were held as usual. However, in reading several messages from various sources I have unfortunately starting to recognize I have a made a mistake here & missed the two boats at the end of year!

I would really appreciate it if someone could: -.

    (a) advise on how I can get to see the end of year sales closing screen &

    (b) run a successful year for end of December 2011 end, then a end of year to end June 2012

or to offer advice on the best way to address this issue. for example is there there a script that fills all the fields of LYR & CDA and LTD with correct figures once I "tell him" what the 'Calendar' and 'Financial' end of year dates were?

I understand that buying and year-end sales routines are optional, but nevertheless I am pretty cross with myself for letting these routines lapse.

If there is no cure here, it will take until the end of December and just close the calendar year then as normal and live with the fact that "Last year" will be two years ' worth of data?

Should I seek to apply a new service pack / hotfix - I can't even my mind upward that, if all I should download and apply?

Nothing is ever simple, unless maybe it's typing here!

I know I asked a lot of questions and I thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Your impotent!

    Lynne

  • Ends of updates of security with code error 80070490

Lately, all security updates installation fails to install with error code 80070490 (unknown error). Heard somewhere that it is caused by a corrupted file and can be solved by reinstalling Vista from the desktop... Tried to reinstall Vista connected and choosing to search for upgrades of the Internet. Vista came back and told me I should do a cleaning which I have for obvious reason did not want to install. Uninstalled SP2 and reinstalled again, that does not solve the problem. What to do.

The way, considering that KB955044 recommend to do a repair for the problem and that you install we said that a repair installation does not solve the problem, it would be best to do exactly what Support MS tells you to do:

Backup of personal data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then do a format and clean install of Windows.

  • End of life for PS6000XV & PS6500E

When PS6000XV & PS6500E reach the end of life?  Thank you

End support PS6000XV is seven years after the date of billing.   The end of the date of sale for the PS6000 was Nov 18,2011, making 2018 the last possible date taken in charge, assuming that you bought Nov 2011.

End support PS6500E is 5 years after the date of billing.   Since the replacement has not yet been made public, there is no released to end of sale date.

I want to run all Windows updates on it that I can, but now when I try to do with IE, it "cannot find Web site". I ran the network of Diag tool and it says I have no problem connecting and my OTHER browser can search and navigate VERY WELL.

I do not wish to use IE all the tim, but am forced to use Windows Update. I suspect that Microsoft's servers can be overloaded with a lot of people trying to access Windows Update because they too have Windows XP PRO and try to capture the updates as much as possible before its end of life.

QUESTION: WINDOWS JUST CRASH AT END OF LIFE OR IT WILL CONTINUE TO WORK, BUT IT JUST WON'T BE ANY MORE UPDATES?

I think that Microsoft need to disclose all information about this as soon as POSSIBLE! We should not have to buy new equipment, I have to do to keep my computer, and you could lose a client big and long time in this to LINUX instead of Windows.

  • W700ds: Select RAID using recovery media created

    Hello!

I am owner of a ThinkPad W700ds, but I guess my question will be answered there as well if it were a W700... Please, any help would be great!

I bought a "used" W700ds with Windows Vista Business (COST and recovery partition intact, but no media provided). The laptop has been published with RAID0, but I was always doubtful that it has been implemented correctly. I spent some time he investigation this afternoon and noticed that the BIOS has not been configured correctly - it was set to AHCI instead of the RAID.

    I did the following:

    (1) created using the installation in the ThinkVantage software recovery media.
    (2) RAID enabled in the BIOS
    (3) entered in the RAID (Ctrl + I) starting at the top. I configured as RAID0 readers.
    (4) reinstalled Windows Vista using the recovery media created in (1) above.

After completing the installation of Windows Vista would be failed to start - always BSOD'ing.

I repeated step 3 & 4 above, select RAID1 instead. Exactly the same problem.

I have since return to the setting of the AHCI BIOS and reinstalled Windows Vista using the recovery media and I'm back where I started (Windows installed, but in a RAID array).

I did some research and it seems that in the RAID drivers are not included in the recovery media and this is the reason for the BSOD. I've included some of the many websites I read, both for your reading and, somehow, to check that I really spent some time to the consideration of this issue before asking for help.

Media recovery that I created, that's all I have - is there a 'stand-alone' for me way to activate RAID? I prefer RAID1 (I would favour redundancy over the speed), but would be happy with RAID0 if this is not possible. It seems it is scandalous that Lenovo (aware - and obviously not "expected" as alternative installation media is considered a book 'around') offer the possibility to create recovery media, which does not have to reinstall Windows by using a configuration valid.

It seems that it is not possible to maintain the RAID by Lenovo R & R, which probably explains why the seller announced the ThinkPad RAID, but it did not come to me as such (the seller has used the recovery partition to restore laptop to factory for me state before ending our sale - makes sense!). It seems a shame to have a laptop that offers RAID functionality and has the necessary equipment (RAID controller and two disks) and hit a sort of brick on software restrictions. Can someone advice how can I proceed to reinstall Windows with the disks in a RAID array, as I have only the Lenovo recovery media?

Lenovo support are closed today due to the day Bank holiday UK but I'll try next time - but I'm afraid my fate is in your hands already, like the ThinkPad is out of warranty.

    Thank you!!

  • Backup of configuration Cisco Codec C40

    Dear all,

Can I know how to take backup of the configuration of the Cisco Codec C40, please?

And also help me with the document of the administrator?

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Syed

You can simply copy the output of the xConfiguration and paste it into the SSH client.  You may need to change the output a bit to get the correct formatting, however.  For example, the output registered since my SHH client contains a preceding * c which must be removed before that I can stick again in the SSH client:

    *c xConfiguration Video Wallpaper: Waves
When you perform a software update, codec configuration, including the keys installed option is not affected and will remain in the process. Keys options include Premium (PR), double (DD) display resolution and Multisite (MS). C40 has been end of sales since June 2015, so it is not possible to order anything for this, see eos-eol-notice-c51-733467. Procedure to upgrade the software codec is on pg 28, the same page mentioned in my previous answer. To upgrade codec software, you will need a release key when switching from one major version to another, as TC5 to TC7. You can request a release of the Cisco Licensing Portal key > obtain other Licenses > telepresence free software key, as long as the device has an active support contract. If you do not have an active support contract, you can contact TAC and get the free unlock key by referencing the Security Advisory cisco-sa-20160504-tpxml, which you can get a key to unlocking TC7.
  • Nexus F2e series modules

Can someone tell me what is the difference between F2 and new F2e?  All I can find is supportive effect. Isn't it?

The biggest complaint (and Gotcha) when people bought the N7K-F248XP-25 (aka standard F2) is an inability of the online map to work with F1 and M1/M2 card.  The F2 has be in it's own little VDC.   No member of Cisco would have admitted that it was due to a technical fault (or disaster).

Thus the F2e is born.  Whatever the standard F2 can do, the F2e can do as well.  And the F2e can work with M1/M2.  "And when that happens (as indicated on the data sheet)" when you deploy the Module Cisco Nexus 7000 F2e-series fiber has VCC with the Cisco Nexus 7000 M Series modules, the Nexus 7000 F2e - series Cisco Fiber Module will run in mode Layer 2 only, delegating all capabilities of layer 3 for the Cisco Nexus 7000 M-modules of the series present in the VDC. The initial version of the software does not support this feature. »

The F2e comes in two "forms": 1/10BaseTx 48-ports or SFP / SFP +.

As the "F2", the F2e still won't be able to support the OTV (integrating F2 series Modules in a Cisco Nexus 7000 Series System).

Due to the release of the new map of F2e expect Cisco to announce (within 6 months) at the end of sale of the standard map of F2.  (My own opinion, read below for refutation of the management team Cisco Nexus 7000 Production.)

I don't know what Cisco will do to customers who bought the standard F2 by mistake.  Cisco quietly will allow them to trade or swap for F2e?  Only people (like Jerry) in Cisco will know.

  • What product is to replace the 15454-OSCM EOS

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/optical-networking/ons-...

    15454-OSCM is end of sale.

But I have not found all the devices to replace it.

    Need help.

    Thank you

    Hello

Because 15454-OSCM and OSC - CSM are eol\eos I recomed you use GCC channels on the transponder. When you use OSCM or OSC - CSM you get bandwidth only GCC 192 Kbps, but when you use cards like 10 x 10 or no matter what rate you will get 1200 kbps.

CCG without CSO channel you create:

-DCN, I mean the network connection between the nodes

    -Create-side PPC

    -Create channel 10G

-Create GCC. You can remove network DCN

Otherwise migrate from M12 to M6 and use card TNC with CWDM SFP (1510 nm) for the channel to the OSC.

  • ISE license migration

I have the license wireless / wireless upgrate on ise 1.4 and licenses will expire in two days.

    What should I do?

    1. If licenses exceeded what ise fuction can do?

    2. I intend to migrate to ise 2.1 (lisences wireless and wireless upgrate end of sale) what can we do?

If you have 1.2 upgrade to any higher version then licenses gets upgrade automatically.

Otherwise any costs re/install-image, need to install mobility and upgrade license.

You must contact the licensing team, get your license has changed with mobility and the upgrade of mobility as upgrade Wireless / Wireless does not work on versions 1.3 and above.

Mobility and mobility upgrade licenses cannot coexist on a node of Cisco Administration at Base of, Plus, or licenses of the Apex.

  • Smartnet out older hardware

Is it possible to subscribe Smartnet on older equipment? We have a CUCME on an ISR 3825 and some 3560G switches. Would it not possible to subscribe Smartnet on them?

Daniel - the best way to determine if a device is still eligible to fix a support contract is to check for announcements of end of sale on cisco.com.  I have this look for the 3825; and it seems that the deadline of attachment of service was in October 2012. If you already have a contract, which would be honored and may be renewed through January 30, 2016.  Here is the link at the end of the newsletter of the life.

  • RVS4000 & WRVS4400N Limited Internet high speed

Two of these model units apear to be Internet max downlink speed of about 26 or 27Mbs. I tested with 10 different units in 3 different sites where the descending speed broadband provided is a complete 50Mbs, including in my own office. My normal router is a Cisco ASA5505 and I also connected a router Cisco 1840 and even an old Linksys router and all reach full 50MBs speed using a variety of speed test sites. The modem cable to my office and other sites have a gigabit LAN connection and RVS4000/WRVS4400N units must certainly be able to reach the speed of 50Mbs. I would be recognizing a Cisco rep, you meet this. If this problem cannot be resolved, my clients may want to move the unit to a different constructor, what I'll do.

    Hi Edward,.

The IPS slow internet connection is not a bug. When you perform a speed test, speed test attaches invalid packets to generate traffic, which will report as a security issue as possible. When you perform a speedtest your computer downloads a binary file, and then use 4 wire http to saturate your connection. Speed samples are processed up to 30 times per second, then the speedtest on average in those together.

With so much aggregated traffic, IPS does not know what do with it, out of what it is supposed to - watch traffic for anything malicious. This is also true for downloads, your normal web browsing don't usually have a noticeable effect. But a large download will be as all packages are inspected incoming and outgoing.
