11 GR 2 forms & DHCP?

I need to install forms 11.1.2.2 on a PC running Windows 7 64 bit for development which uses the DHCP protocol. This always require a loopback adapter to install?

Hello

A loopback adapter is required for all installations except static (DHCP or IP) network if you are installing on a multihomed computer computer not connected to the network or DHCP server, there are additional configuration steps required.

These steps are also available in the system requirements document in the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration requirements" section. Common installation, planning of tasks - 11 g Release 2 (11.1.2.2.0)

Amatu Allah.

  • hostname gets vmnet8 form ip and no default dhcp server

    Hello

    I installed VMware Workstation 7.1 last week and noticed that my hostname in my linux box gets the number of ip not default dhcp server but vmnet8 as before.   Is there any way to go back to that?  It has destroyed my samba server.

    Thank you very much

    Comments of vmware can obtain ip addresses from the dhcp linux without vmnet1 and vmnet8 Server?

    Yes, if the virtual machine network adapter is set to Bridged so it will be on the local physical network the host is and should be able to use its DHCP server.

  • How do I book DHCP on a WN203?

    I just started setting up my new WN203 to replace the part of a former ConnectionHub of Bell wireless. I got past the initial and assigned substance to a range of DHCP addresses to the new cluster of WN203, but I do not see how to associate a specific address to a particular wireless device.

    In case it isn't clear, let me give the example. When an address is assigned to a camera wireless AP, let's say his 192.168.2.220, I need to always get in the future so I can map this external address. In the ConnectionHub it's simple, there are two things to do. Assign the 220 to the MAC address and then put a new entry in a table of transfer from the port to say what external address matches. I think that the AP has reserve capacity, that I have not found, but port forwarding must take place at the router level.

    I didn't know how it worked, so I tried a number of things and this is what worked for me.

    I let the WN203 be a ConnectionHub upstream DHCP client and it has been assigned an IP address in the pool, which subsequently, I coded as a DHCP reservation. I turned on the WN203 of the DHCP service.

    When I used the WN203 network, my devices were assigned the same IP addresses by the ConnectionHub that he had used when its wireless feature worked. I was then able to use the same DHCP reservations as before which turned to simplify the whole process.

  • Migration of DHCP: Old name of the server appears in the console, but OK on server DHCP itself

    Last night, I've migrated our production from 2008 to 2012 R2 DHCP servers. Monitoring the migration pretty well thanks to all of our test environments and PROD so guide. Check the DHCP logs on the new server, everything seems to go OK, but there is a question that we can not understand:

    -In the DHCP console on our desktops, I right click on DHCP for 'add a server... '. »
    -Select the "this authorized DHCP server: ' and I see the new name of the server and the INVESTIGATION period.
    -Now, DHCP in the console, the FORMER name of the server appears under the node.

    I thought enter ADSIedit and change the name of the DHCP server might help, but it didn't.

    I have a small client that has an old server that comes close to falling; its off primary runnign the disk space and must often be restarted.  they do not need the server and it was decided to remove the server and use a working group with NAS drive for their records.  They have a sonicwall firewall that can handle all DHCP services.  All computers have disjoint form field, all profiles will migrate the workstation's local user accounts.  all work, printing, file sharing and internet services.  When the server is stopped, after about 10 minutes the network goes down and I can't even log into the firewall.

    How I got out of shape services DHCP from the server to the firewall?  the firewall has active DHCP and the range of rental contract is configured correctly, but cann no PC connect when the server is off.

  • XP using a Dhcp Server if you have a cable modem. This is a Must?

    XP, network, Cable Modem. Do I have to use DHCP because I have nothing between me and the router? I watched hours of stuff on networks and nobody don't never went that far in anything. According to their patterns, Cisco or other, passed between their machine and the cable box. I've set up with static addresses (most of filmmakers disliked that sceme) and everything seems fine, but I have several others [don't know what to back]. To begin: Net bios on TCP/IP, WINSOCK, do I need? Well, I should have tried to find it, I should have written it down before I got here. Is it possible to save a project to the present, and I can drive around the site for a while? Now I get all these good advice from Youtube, and I bet everyone's probably laughing at me because you get ten different opinions to the same question. I have to add this. You can add memmory to your system for free! Yeh, you just go here and change this figure there, bam, more memory (long live Ram). It took a while, but for some, it may be a joke, but sometimes I can't tell when they're joking. Yes, I'll change a few settings. OOOPPPsss. Spybot, Ouch, he hacked me upward when I wasn't looking. DNS servers... Monitor drive..., the link layer,... .packet scheduler and now all of a sudden the TCPIP6 is suddenly. I've never seen a video on any of them, except 6, they were running 8.1. Cool. I hate just to bog down everything by adding all these other things if I don't. My settings seem to work very well, but sometimes things get a bit dodgy. Affecting those other things would make the program more stable, faster, or it's just the way it should be done? I hope all of you can remember when you have no idea, "what the hell do I need a Winsock for? I live in the desert.

  • LRT214 and win 8 can't get IP through DHCP-server (built in)

    Hello!

    I just bought a LRT214.

    The configuration is PSI - modem-> Linksys LRT214 - > switch (D-link) > AP (Ubiquity + Netgear)

    The goal was to replace the current-Netgear router that breaks down frequently.

    My problem is the following:

    -All former gear like Windows 7 and Vista computers (Yes, another one) works fine. Wired and Wifi.

    -All the Android phones and IPAD works great

    -A Windows 8.1 machine works wired at least (not sure if Wifi works)

    -2 machines acer with Win 8.1 will not get not a DHCP connection somehow (wireless or wired).

    I just get the error 'limited connection' when you try to connect with WIFI or Ethernet.

    When I look at IP-config I just get the "default" Win-IP-address he gives when not knowing what to do. West no gateway by default and when try / renew or release just expires... I also tried restarting several times, resetting routers, switches, etc. I also rolled back a step on one of the machines 8.1 to see if that helped.

    I've noticed this directly, when you try to configure the router "autonomous". This wouldn't work for Acer/Win 8.1ut ok to a HP laptop with Win 7.

    It s kinda weird that one of the machines 8.1 worked...

    I ve tried a lot of things but eventually removed the LRT214 and replaced the things as before and everything started up without fault...

    I ve really out of ideas. does anyone have an idea to test before returning it?

    Thank you! / Goran

    Hello. After discussion of three hours with linksys, they do have no input. He came down for possibly that Acer had high security in a certain way. However, acer works with netgear... Very good don't support but sorry no solution. So I sent the router. Thanks anyway

  • WRT1900AC limits of DHCP reservation

    When you set the WRT1900AC, I want to put on 50 DHCP reservations (these are virtual machines deployed by other software that gives me known MAC addresses, but sets to get the IP address of the DHCP server and I need them to be called IP addresses for a classroom environment).

    The problem is, once you've spent 12 reservations, the button 'OK' to save is off the screen and there is no scroll bar.  I can understand the number of tabs to reach the stop button, but I know that I'll never be able to see the full list or below the most important area where is shows who is connected with what IPs currently.

    (1) this form should get fixed.

    (2) is there a way to set this up, like downloading a configuration file.  I used to do with DDWRT on my old G 52, but I am wary of jumping to DDWRT on a newer platform.  Is there another method of confururation other than the GUI?

    It is a bug. As a solution to use the zoom of the typical browser.

  • Why Windows 7 can not forced to use broadcast DHCP lease renewal?

    I go to this Café for 11 years. He still has the same basic ADSL Wireless internet service (a former point of Wi - Fi connected to the internet via ADSL).

    The ONLY way to communicate with the DHCP server in this broadcast wireless access point - applications for renewal of lease to the DHCP server via direct IP address are IGNORED. In addition to this, the assignment DHCP IP pool is rather small, so to compensate for the lease time DHCP is set to expire every 10 minutes. Is normally no problem, because an active DHCP client request a renewal of lease half the duration of the lease, or 5 minutes before the lease expires.

    Here's my problem: I had my configuration of registry to force DHCP broadcast and everything was happy--UNTIL Microsoft decided to have an update to ADD a flag "toggle show" to the registry and make it impossible to substitute (so far, despite the kb928233 page that supposedly tells you how). Since then, I lose my DHCP lease (and so my internet connection) EVERY 10 MINUTES.

    BTW, the page KB928233 has manual register of instructions that are so badly written that there are at least 2 or 3 different interpretations of these installation instructions. I tried at least 3 different interpretations of these instructions - none worked. A good part of the problem, it's that no examples were given of what the obtained key tree should look like in regedit.

    I have invested at least 2 days in Google searches and various attempts to get these flags put back the right way - to nothing does not. If I can't understand how to solve this problem in 2 days of trying something is terribly wrong. Again, emphasis, it USED to WORK until someone decided to put in a windows update that broke.

    What I want to know is: for a particular wireless connection how to force broadcast DHCP lease renewal. Some update in the last several months seriously broken, making it virtually impossible to force the broadcast mode.  Oh yes, it's an application for renewal of broadcast FINALLY - once THE CONNECTION has BEEN BROKEN! It is pointless - I just lost my transfer session or remote terminal file. I need to make the request in broadcasting until the lease ends.

  • Cisco SPA with problem of DHCP Options 66

    Dear all,
    I have a problem of my phone Cisco SPA for the autodeploiement.
    If I manually enter the page configuration and paste "[- pwd - password user uid] http:///dms/def/spa$PSN.cfg" in the profile rule. Everything works perfectly.
    However, we would like to do in the provision of zero touch, I add the "[- pwd - password user uid] http:///dms/def/spa$PSN.cfg"DHCP Options 66. " The SPA phone seems impossible to get the 66 Options parameter. It shows that "/ spa$ PSN.cfg" in the rule of profiles.
    I'm sure that the DHCP server works perfectly.
    Can anyone help on this?

    Kind regards

    Desmond

    You cannot use the custom during initial deployment (zero touch) password. DHCP can be used to deliver key to the device in this way.

    Ok. What are the options you have?

    You my use of the configuration file, compiled with SPC type -target option. It encrypt the file by using the password from each device Mac so you need no password given to the device - device can calculate the password required their Mac. It provides just basic security level - insensitive user, like me, know the algorithm used for password generation so that it can calculate the password and decrypt the file.

    You can use HTTPS with mutual certificate authentication to deliver XML or SPC configuration form. All phones have the unique client certificate, then you can be sure that the request has been issued by the unit. It offers a high level of security.

    There are also a few other possibilities, but disclosed so that information on the goal you want to hit, so I can't list.

    Just note that DHCP will meet anyone, in addition, the answer may broadcast (therefore handed to anyone, even without prior request). If you deliver critical data via DHCP, you can consider them publicly available. Security resulting is without security.

  • SG200-26 DHCP feature does not?

    Hello

    I bought a SG200-26 switch and wanted to replace some old Netgear switches with her. With the former, simple Netgear switch everything has worked. With the SG200-26 the only way to get a connection of the switch is to affect the manual IP address. I want the switch to automatically distribute IP addresses and activated the DHCP function in the web interface, but it still does not work. I also tried to restore factory default and set to update to the latest firmware, but it also did not help. I really prefer the switch to handle this. Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Frank

    Hi Frank,.

    200 series of switches is not DHCP Server feature.  The 300 and higher are DHCP server optionally on them, but the 200 do not since it's just a layer 2 switch.

    If you do not have to set a static on your PC you can always plug the switch into a network that has DHCP running.  The switch default values will pull a DHCP address for itself, then you can check your DHCP server for what address he got and use it for the admin access without having to adjust a static on your PC.

    Hope that helps and thanks for using Cisco,

  • SG300 and RVS4000 DHCP problems

    We recently deployed SG300-28 to replace a former 3Com switch.

    The installation program:

    In the SG300 switch router RVS400 and all workstations and server are connected.

    The problem:

    Windows 7 workstations are unable to get IP addresses of the server that is also connected to the switch.

    If, however, plug us into the workstations in the switch 4 ports on the back of the RVS4000 (the router), they get the IPs from the server without problem.

    It works perfectly with the old switch from 3Com for us it was classified in the category small business going.

    A few comments/advice appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  • Change DHCP with control through web query

    I'm writing an initializer DMP to get all of our DMP correctly through a program Windows forms. The DPM is 4400G using version 5.2.1.

    I send you a number of orders, and they work with the exception to disable DHCP and set the IP address.

    The commands I send are:

    set_param? init. GWYN = 10.101.0.1 & init. DNS = 10.101.0.1 & init. IP = 10.101.0.87 & init. DHCP = OFF & MIB. Save = 1 & MNG. Reboot = 1

    The gateway and DNS are defined, but the DHCP protocol is still there. I tried to disable DHCP through the web interface and it works. I sent then simply the new IP address, but nothing has changed.

    I have reset to factory settings and restart it. I ran the unique controls with mib.save and pieces in different orders. Nothing changes.

    As I can't find any documentation of the MIB of 5.2.1 I ask your help.

    Bjoern,

    You are absolutely right. The DHCP protocol cannot be disabled using the MIB. 5.2 code network configuration is stored using a config file in the DMP, rather than the MIB (as if it were in 5.1). It took me two hours to understand, but here's the solution:

    Please use the hidden command: https://161.44.77.100:7777 / get_param? p = network. * to determine the configuration of the network

    It's my configuration before (output comes from the net.conf file in the DMP): DHCP is activated and assigned IP address is 161.44.77.100

    [eth0]
    DHCP = 1
    isUp = 1
    Domain = Cisco.com
    IP = 161.44.77.100
    mask = 255.255.255.0
    GWYN = 161.44.77.1
    DNS = 161.44.124.122 64.102.6.247 171.68.226.120

    https://161.44.77.100:7777/set_param?network.eth0.dhcp=0&network.eth0.ip=161.44.77.101&network.eth0.dns=161.44.124.123&network.eth0.mask=255.255.255.0&network.eth0.gwy=161.44.77.1&network.eth0.domain=test.me.com&mng.command=network.saveConfiguration&mib.save=1&mng.reboot=1

    [eth0]
    DHCP = 0
    isUp = 1
    Domain = test.me.com
    IP = 161.44.77.101
    mask = 255.255.255.0
    GWYN = 161.44.77.1
    DNS = 161.44.124.123

    For your particular case, the command should look like this:

    set_param? Network.eth0.GWY =10.101.0.1 &= network.eth0.dns10.101.0.1 &network.eth0.ip= 10.101.0.87 &network.eth0.dhcp= 0& mng .command = network.saveConfiguration & .save mib = 1 & mng .reboot = 1

    Let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps. If your concern is addressed please mark this message as "answered".

  • SGE2010 - traffic relay and DHCP configuration

    Hei

    We bought just a switch SGE2010 we want to use to replace the switches in the control panel of our office. So far I managed to access the switch and assigned a static ip.adress on our net, but I can't get to our entry point switch relay traffic. I have a test machine that is configured with a static IP as well and tried the ok sign, but as soon as I put the switch between traffic is not relayed.

    The idea was to use this switch as a DHCP as well. But I thought it would be a start to get at least the traffic relayed before starting the dhcp part.

    Only configuration settings I have done factory settings are the following: (note that the IP is slightly adjusted, but consistent for reasons of confidentiality)

    Configuration of the IP4

    1. Assigned to a static ip address: 95.59.69.148
    2. Assigned a subpattern: 255.255.255.192
    3. Assigned to a user-defined gateway: 95.59.69.129

    DNS configuration

    1. Assigned to an ip address dns address: active 95.59.0.100
    2. Assigned to a dns ip address: 95.59.0.200

    All these settings are the default settings that we use when we assign a server with a static ip address, so it is not a pick up of our filtration dhcp server. So my main question is why on earth isn't it relay traffic?

    In addition, we are interested to kill the former (with stones, I hope) dhcp server and dhcp on the sge2010 configuration. The current dhcp is an operating system. X dhcp server (Yes a mac) with the following configuration:

    • (Dynamic ip) subnet
      From ip: 95.59.69.179
      Ending ip: 95.59.69.190
      Subnet: 255.255.255.192
    • Router ip: 95.59.69.129
      Rental time: 3 hours
    • The range 95.59.69.130 to 95.59.69.149 we set up manually on the servers, hardware, etc.
    • DNS server: 95.59.0.100 & 95.59.0.200
      Default search domain: No. - dns - available.example.com
    • And then we have a group of static mappings to Mac-addresses
      ip address: 95.59.69.150
      IP: 95.59.69.178

    I tried to see in the configuration where I could the mappings static spesify range etc, but I can't say it got me anywhere. So my second question is how to install a server dhcp of Eric as a designated above?

    It's nice to finally convince the CEO to move the dhcp to a better metal, but it's not as nice having a hard time setting up. I would apprecitate every possible leeds and suggestions since I'm kinda stuck.

    Thanks in advance

    Rafn.R

    Hello

    My SGE2000P forwards DHCP requests on my DHCP server.

    I used my default VLAN1 as an interface routed to unicast request DHCP relay on my server (router ISR UC520) that resides on that VLAN 1.

    My interface Vlan 1 on my SGE2000P has an IP 192.168.10.254.

    My gateway address for potential hosts in VLAN 2 IP will be the ADDRESS IP I AI ASSIGNES to VLAN 2, because the PC or the IP hosts connected to VLAN2 will use IP VLAN2 interface as the gateway. It's just how it works!

    Hosts of PC on VLAN 2 need of a default route and they use the IP I assigned to VLAN2 as their next jump out VLAN2 on the real world.

    This address can be seen below.

    DHCP relay is enabled with the option 82

    I chose VLAN2 as an interface VLAN, as shown below.

    I have two ports not signposted in the VLAN2, and I joined an IP host to G1 so that I can test the DHCP relay.

    I get the following debug output from my dhcp server, so I know the relay is working.

    002624: 19:40:08.575 Dec 5: DHCPD: looking for expiry of the leases.

    002625: 19:40:58.408 Dec 5: DHCPD: DISCOVER notification to:

    002626: 19:40:58.408 Dec 5: DHCPD: htype 1 CHADRR 0025.84d8.d008

    002627: 19:40:58.408 Dec 5: DHCPD: id remote 020a0000c0a80a0101080001

    002628: 19:40:58.408 Dec 5: DHCPD: id circuit 00000000

    002629: 19:40:58.408 Dec 5: DHCPD: see if there is a specified internal pool class:

    But I must confess that I have opened a case on it with the Small Business Support Center, because I think I can see something wrong on my DHCP server debugging.

    But the key is that I see the router WAN/DHCP server, see the query from DHCP.

    The only way to the broadcast DHCP requests can get to the DHCP server, if the switch SGE2000P takes these DHCP broadcast requests and unicast these or relay to my server DHCP IP address 192.168.10.1.

    So in other words he tries to relay DHCP.

    I would ask you to please check the SGE2010 Administrator's guide because it clearly shows how to configure the DHCP on the SGE2010 relay.

    Even if the screen capture shows and the old version of the code below.  I have day my SGE2000P tonight at the generally available (GA) version of the code.

    Just outa interest, if you telnet to the switch, is your mode of layer 3 or Layer 2 switch.

    I can also say from your screenshot that your uplink ports are in overlay mode.

    Maybe if you don't use stacking, you can set your switch to the layer 3 mode and standalone mode

    Best regards, Dave

    Trying to get this works, but can't. Help, please. You will need to get the column Salary to come in the form $ instead of the time. Whenever it is multiplied by 12, it ends by multiplying by time and not by $12. So I'll take 48 h 0 m instead of $48. There are some pictures of what I am trying to accomplish. There's a picture of what is happening and another pic of my formula before you enter the time in time and get the product duration under treatment. Help, please. Thank you

    You multiply at a range of a number. The result is lasting. That makes sense, if you do 15 minutes (duration) of exercise every day for five days (number) you have made 1.25 hours (duration) of exercise.

    For a numeric result, you need to multiply a number (hours) by a number of $ / hour. Your friend here is DUR2HOURS, which converts a duration in a number representing the number of hours:
