  .. I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1... Because my colleague told me it's a wonderful update... After you have installed the 8.1 update... my computer crashes every 2-5 minutes, you can still move the mouse cursor, but everything is frozen, it will resume after 20-30 seconds. Everything was fine when I use WINDOWS 8, it happened that after update install the 8.1... I guess that's a video driver problem...   I'm sorry to hear you had problems with the update Windows 8.1. You can easily restore your system to Windows 8 by using the Microsoft System Restore. I'm you provide a supported HP here document that will provide you with instructions on how to do it. When you make your restore just make sure that you choose a restore point when you were 8 Windows work properly.

  My Hp probook - 4445 s is equipped with linux. I downloaded the fingerprints of linux driver that is available on your Web site (it is RPM based). I converted to debian and installed in my system, but it does not work.

  After looking around, it seems it was not an official release for the pilot of validity, but there is a project which is still maintained, FPrint (page alt here).  Their home page has not been updated in a few years, but it seems that a new version was released about six days ago.   Officially, only 128 GB or 256 m2 TLC (SATA, PCIe) readers are supported on HP ProBook 470 G3. However, Crucial says their M.2 MX200 500 GB TLC works fine on the same laptop. Would Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB m2 also work? It is also based at TLC.

  It is a desktop PC processor and does not fit in any laptop. Right now some HP Support pages are down, but I think you can install a processor AMD A10 that would improve the graphics just a little. There is no graphics "card" than you might think. It's a flat motherboard in the case of the laptop with all the chips including video welded to this Council. The video comes from inside the processor is working to help the chips on the motherboard. An A10 processor offers slightly better graphics, but nothing that will increase the potential of game much. It's a business laptop for to make Powerpoints and spreadsheets and maybe from watching a video from youtube or playing a DVD. He is not a player. HP is now the laptop Omen about $1500 that would deal with most of the high end games.

  Here's the problem with that:

  AMD A6 - 4400M, Max 3,2 GHz / 2.7 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, Dual-Core,.
  Graphic 35W: 7520G HD

  AMD - A8 4500 M, Max 2.8 GHz/1, 9-basis of GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, quadcore,.
  Graphic 35W: 7640G HD

  AMD - A4 - 4300M, 3.0 GHz maximum / 2.5 - GHz Base, 1 MB of L2 cache, double
  Core, graphic 35W: HD 7420 G

  Above are your graphics options for laptop. If yours is 1.9 ghz it cannot the A8, which is the best CPU and GPU option available. The video is part of the processor. There is just no way for you to improve the graphics capabilities of this laptop. It may seem like the A-6 is better because it works to 2.7 ghz, but there only 2 hearts: you have 4. And the 7520 graphics are lower than what you have. That's what you try to do? There is not too many computers that reach 4 ghz, not to mention a laptop.

  Just an info... According to the Guides of compatibility , the latest version of openSUSE officially supported as a host operating system is openSUSE 11.2.

  Have you tried to uninstall VMware Player and then put it back to see if it will compile correctly?
