AC adapter dv6-3143sa light always on?

Hi, I recently got a HP dv6, I noticed that the ac power light is always on, even when the laptop is turned off, is this normall? The light turns off only when the power is off.

Sorry just to clarify, the LED next to the power socket adapter stays on even when the computer is off?

If it remains on the AC adapter unplugged there is actually a problem. If the laptop is under tension and the power adapter is connected the led stays on.

  • Satellite L50 - B DC/battery light always on

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite of month 5 L50-B-1U8 where battery/DC never light. The light is still orange, except when the AC adapter is plugged in and the battery is fully charged, to which cases it becomes white. When I unplug and Hibernate / shutdown of the computer for the night, the light is still on (orange) the morning!

The manual says amber means the laptop is plugged in and the battery is charging. I can see when I plug in the adapter, the intensity of the amber light increases. He returned to a somewhat paler orange when I remove the AC adapter. But never turns off the coast, unless I have physically remove the battery.

Someone had a similar problem? Any ideas of what could be the problem and how to fix it?

    Thanks for any help!

I have S50 Satellite - B and the principle of the LED DC is the same but on my machine, the LED is off when laptop is not in use.
Problem is that it doesn't have any option for this and it all works automatically. You cannot change anything. All we can do is to make a few small changes in the BIOS or Windows, but it has nothing to do with the behavior of LEDs. I presume that it is controlled by the electronic supply, placed on the motherboard.

Maybe you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help or explanations.

  • Satellite A10 works on AC adapter but the lights are on?

Hi, everything was fine... until I put the champions league final on! My phone was on and fine, I then put an installation disc (AXIS AND allies)-it to half way through and it stopped - no power left in the battery!

Well it would have been ok, but it was connected to the sector! The adapter green light was on and the amber light. I checked the adapter - it was fine - not bad etc, then the battery. I tried to turn it on with just the Commander dashboard and without battery, but that didn't work.

All that is happening today is lights indicate the ca is to and active, but after a few minutes, when the power of the battery falls down the captain goes out when battery don't--and just then turn it back on but the laptop is off!

I wonder if it's the battery or maybe the program powersave? Anyway I need help as soon as possible because he has children GCSE work on it :(

    Hi Paul

Please be careful with this case. It is possible that there is a problem of electronic power supply. In my opinion, it should be checked. In my opinion, you must contact ASP in your country and explain to them the situation.

  • 120W adapter dv6-7014NR?

The HPShopping site lists #aba as an acceptable charger for dv6-7014NR 120w ve025aa.  But when you look at the map page that the series dv6 is not listed.  Sellers told me that the 120w is NOT acceptable on the dv6-7014, but I'm looking for someone on the side of techniques to confirm that.  This laptop has a 1080 display, bluray, discrete videocard and core i7, among other things, and I think that the configuration can in fact be accepable to the adapter 120w.  Can someone confirm please one way or the other?

    Thank you.

Just to add, that the size of the adapter can vary depending on the model, a computer laptop dv6-7000 series will not necessarily be the same card of series dv6-6000. Rest assured, your dv6-7014nr will work with a 120 W adapter.

  • Beats audio trackpad DV6-6108US light do not have off when he sleeps 8.1 Win

I did a clean install of win 8.1 on my laptop DV6-6108US, and I have all drivers to use and all is well but the ring of light on the trackpad and the HP logo which lights up on the screen do not turn off when the computer sleeps. I have to close the lid to turn off the lights. I'm worried about burning them. There must be a setting or a driver I'm missing, but I can't understand it.

What you think are the bulbs are not. They are of light-emitting diode, part modern electronics.

They also use almost anything in terms of power, because they are not an incandescent bulb.

They are unlikely to burn and will last the life of the entire service of your laptop.

Don't bother not to install the touchpad driver suggested. It has no effect.

  • WiFi adapter does not light

recently my wifi adapter just stopped turning, the small white light is from the key on the keyboard, when I press on it is no longer lights up like it used to if I accidentally pressed it. There's just red. I tried to restore my computer to an earlier point like the computer suggested (as a month earlier) but still no luck. Other devices in my House still not connected to the internet, so I know it still works, and when I plug it using an ethernet cable, it connects (what I'm using now) but I would like to be able to walk away, please help!

  • problem adapter dv6 - 7095ca

So I purchased a DV6 - 7095ca and when I plugged it in, I was told that I needed an adapter stronger. So I took the rear adapter (was a 65w) and they gave me a replacement 90w Hp card. However, I just plugged and got the same message again. Is there a setting I need to change on the laptop? Or should I buy a more powerful adapter yet?

ruruliu is correct. The list of product specification the power supply as being 120w. You will need to get one of these adapters 120w to get rid of the error message. Here a link to the HP parts store where you should be able to buy the piece. I hope this helps!

  • Satellite U400 - light always at the lowest level

    I have a U400 - 15G (PSU44E). I bought with Vista but I installed XP.

My problem is that everytime I restart the computer, the brightness is set at the highest level and I have to reset it each time because I prefer the lowest level. Can't I fix this somewhere?

    Hello!

    > Can't I fix this somewhere
Yes, you should only install the Toshiba Power Saver for Windows XP.
Here, you can set the level of brightness at full power (AC adapter) and battery modus. It s a very useful tool and I like it.

Hello I have a new Hp envy laptop and up to a few weeks with the F12 I could turn on/off my wireless connection. Now its always blue, even when I try disconect it it shows the blue ligh only a flight mode message puppies say turn off/on.

How can I solve this? And what is the reason for this change?

I read it is possible thanks to the absence of bios update, but I've always had the Hp support Assistant showing the update of the BIOS.

    Thank you.

    Hello

The led function is usually supplied by the driver concerned, so try to use Recovery Manager to reinstall your original WLAN driver. tprocedure he to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

    After reinstalling, restart the laptop.

  • PE2950 / R710 ESM records cleared / Orange light always on.

After clearing the ESM log (and all newspapers) on our Dell PE2950 / R710 servers a few of them have the orange light with the Message "clear the ESM log.

I think in the past I recycled one of DSM services to solve this problem, but I'm not having much luck this time. Any advice on how better to clear this? Thank you very much!

I would like to launch a DSET report and -or diagnostics on both servers. There may be another underlying question material that needs to be treated which prevents the amber light to regain its normal blue.

  • Wireless adapter missing / wireless light stays Orange.

    HP Pavilion G6-1210SA (A3S73EA #ABU) [SN: 5 CD 1402855]

I bought this laptop yesterday, less than 24 hours old. I installed a clean Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and then the problems started.  Install Win7 Ultimate on my other machines was not a problem.

Under 'Other devices', network controller is displayed and no driver can be found for this.

I tried the hard reset as suggested in another thread - did not work.

I tried to install some of the wireless drivers found on the site of HP - no luck.  Most of installs it fail/time.

The network LAN adapter has disappeared, but I installed the Realtek drivers, and they worked.  No luck with the Realtek WLAN drivers.

If it cannot be fixed over the next 2 days, it will be the 2nd HP laptop that I returned in less than a week!  I don't know if I'll try a 3rd...

    I am at a loss.

    Hi, Max:

According to the device details ID you have validated, your laptop is the Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi.

This should be the driver that you need.

  • Difficulty in the light on the AC adapter and the power light power on after connect you to the laptop

HP Pavilion dv3t notebook. Each time get adapter connect to the laptop, it takes at least 10 minutes to get the AC adapter and power indicator light on. Sometimes it does not light on all day.  It always happens any with the battery or not.

If I start the laptop with the light on the AC adapter and the power light, no matter how I move the power cord, it maintains support, works very well.

But if I start the laptop without the light on the AC adapter and the power led on even with the, i.e. start with the battery as power, no matter how I move the power cord, the led on the AC adapter and the light, i.e. no charge. He stops until the battery drain.

I believe that the AC adapter is good. But I have no idea why he has trouble in the light on the AC adapter and the power light on after to connect to the laptop.

Dv6 had a somewhat similar problem that was treated with a BIOS upgrade. I watched the latest BIOS for your laptop and there is nothing about a problem of load, however. If it works very well and also a long time that you turn it on with the AC plugged in but only has a problem with loading when you connect the adapter Windows runs, I'm tempted to say that it is a software problem as a problem with Windows power management. Maybe if you remove the hard drive, power supply, switch it on with battery only, then plug the adapter when you run in a pre-Windows environment, we can see if the same problem occurs. If it was my cell phone, I would also like to do the update BIOS level, just to see if maybe it would affect something. I could also try to run it from a Linux Live disc any and see if the same problem occurs in another operating system. Last resort I would begin focusing on the issues of possible material, as a module of taking bad AC, which is an other replaceable part that requires no welding.
