• What current photo printers use the 178 cartridge ink?

  Just take a big lightning hit on my HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One aging and it is a write-off.

  Problem is I have about a dozen unopened 178 ink cartridges in a drawer and certainly not want to throw away them.

  Are there current HP photo printers that the 178 - and they are all good? I was reasonably happy with the Photosmart Premium (C309 was the model), but there are certainly better machines to print only one photo on the market.

  There are a number of printers that take the HP178. Take a look at the Photosmart printer Buying Guide. Something like the series PS 5510 I think would suit.

  Did you mean HP 564XL? This is what takes the Deskjet 3070. The sound of your post, you have an old HP 564XL recently (as for September 2010), the cartridge has been replaced by a smaller size. You can find more information on the following articles.

  Here is a link to purchase HP world wide page you can see a selection that says 'Russia-Russia. Click this option, and from there it will take you to a page on how to buy and give you contact as options such as buying online or by phone.  From there, you should be able to choose the option that you want to continue to get your cartridge.  I hope this helps

In the style of France the 178 HP, designed for that printer ink cartridge is not available, and it seems that the cartridge HP 364 in France is the same size and adapts to the machine but wil lnot work.   I have a photosmart 5510 printer I bought at the Japan. It came with a set of 178 cartridges.

  I moved to the Korea and bought a set of new cartridges HP 564 here because 178 cartridges are not available in Korea. In the box of cartridges it is said that the cartridges are adequate for the photosmart 5510.

  After the installation, I get an error "incompatible cartridge".

  If I use sureSupply via the HP utility to find compatible cartridges and I select the Korea as my current position, I get the following message:

• I got a low ink warning on my mac for my printer epson artisan 837. I replaced the cartridge, which was low, but he still reads the low ink level on the mac, but full bed on the epson Control Panel.

  You can try to disconnect the printer, restart the computer, reconnect with the printer, and then try again.

  Some IIC (individual ink cartridge) printers have print heads that require ink available for periodic maintenance tasks.   If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not empty and you want to minimize the use of color ink, you can change the settings in the HP software to print in black ink only (grey levels). Even if you change the print settings to print in black ink only, the other ink cartridges still have ink in them so that the printer to print.

  I have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet 6700, part No. H711.

  Guide, Chapter 7, pp. 74, section entitled user

  During the one or more ink cartridges are exhausted

  "If the black cartridge is exhausted, any black color in print is created using a combination of the remaining colors."

  And "If a color cartridge is exhausted, the printer print in grayscale using the black cartridge."

  In both cases, my printer did print when only the black cartridge has been exhausted when one of the color toner is exhausted.  The screen on the printer says 'impoverished cartridges need to be replaced to resume printing'.

  Can someone explain this discrepancy? Is the guide of the wrong user or HP subsequently change its policy and lock the printer when a cartridge is exhausted?

  Well in this case, it could indicate a defective product. I will say to contact support to phone to check if there are a few troubleshooting steps more who could be played.

  Please make sure the cartridges are not refilled and also use genuine hp cartridges.

  Is the toner cartridge new hp oem or aftermarket. If the new hp oem returns instead of purchase for refund or Exchange. The cartridge cannot be set because it appears that the wiper blade has gone wrong. Keep in mind for laserjet printers toner 2300 is 14 years old now. Many including tonic oem hp toner appearing on the market are very old, have been sitting on pantry felland years and unless the conditions are just right after about 3-4 years they spoil. You can later tell year hp original toner by the area that should be black and white.  If the box is blue and white, then the toners are at less than 8 years. Hope this helps.
