200 series smart switch (SG200-18) access to the web interface

Hi all!
The system flashes green which I understand means that it is currently using the default IP 192.1681.254.

1. do I need to connect a computer directly into it to get on the Web site? Or do I just use any computer on the local network that uses an IP address from that subnet 192.168.1.x?   The subnet in this branch is etre.1.x in any case.

2. these instructions in order to use a computer on the same subnet - what is State only when it is in its configuration by default or always? i.e. I'll only ever be able to reach these switches from a computer within the respective branch?  Or, for example, may switch to the branch 1 (sous-reseau.1.x), be configured to allow access to a computer at the head office (sous-reseau.0.x) or via the VPN (sous-reseau.254.x)? How?

3. how to respond to pings?

Hi shead, if you connect this switch in a network with DHCP, the device will get a DHCP address for the IP address of management.

To be able to get web access to a different subnet, you must set the default gateway of the switch of the device, which will happen the router, the sx200 will not forward anything.

The switch responds to ping by default then there is another problem.

  • N3048 access to the Web Interface without OOB

I recently had our switch replaced by RMA and have access to the web interface via oob. I'm not sure how to access ports and other subnets and want to access the web interface of the server room outside. It's probably something very obvious, but I don't have the original switch to check the configuration. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can use in-band or oob access to administration from inside or outside the server room.  The port of oob is a completely separate network used for management only, but you can also use a port in the Strip management.  By default, VLAN 1 is usually used in the Strip to transport of management traffic.  If you set an IP address on VLAN 1 you should also be able to manage from this IP address.  Measures would be to define the IP address on VLAN 1, ping ping to test connectivity, remote and then use your browser to connect to the web INTERFACE.  You should be able to use the same username/password that was used for the oob port.  Without a set of name of user and password, the web INTERFACE will not allow the session.

  • PC54x8 access to the web interface of WS2012

Hello. We have a strange problem. Because we are not networking gurus, we use the web interface of the switches to manage them (instead of using the CLI). The problem is that when connect us to the web interface of WS2012, the browser (IE) freezes. We tried this on several machines of WS2012.

Management of WS2008 R2 works without problem.

Is this a compatibility issue with IE10 (WS2012) compared to IE9 (WS2008 R2) or something else? I tried to add the address IP for trusted sites, but that did not help. Unfortunately only the servers with WS2012 are connected to this particular switch, so we are unable to manage it more (from the web interface).

Any ideas what could be the cause of this? The web interface requires Java? Given that we have not installed on WS2012 servers.

Unfortunately I found no work around to get the software to work with IE10. The recommended solution is to use another browser, which as you've found, works very well. I believe that the idea is that in future updates that IE10 will be supported, but I don't have a roadmap on how that would be released.

  • 200 series Smart Switch does not, DHCP blocked

I have a network of SMEs small and simple.  There are 2 switches: a switch 8 ports connected to my main Windows Server (which is the DHCP provider for the network) and a switch of 24 ports that is plugged into the switch 8 ports.

I replaced these switches (Dell unmanaged switches) with intelligent switches in the Cisco 200 series (models 8 or 26-port).  When I plug the 26-port switch into switch 8 ports, it is impossible to obtain the DHCP in Windows server address.  Also, any device plugged into the 26-port switch cannot communicate with another, and all the lights of the port ethernet flash simultaneously at the same frequency - quite a light show!

If I plug the Server Windows DIRECTLY into the 26-port switch, it receives a DHCP address.

I tried a 2nd swtich 26-port Cisco and it does the same thing, so I guess this isn't a hardware problem.

What is the solution to this problem?

    Louis,

Try this, go to the first 200 series switch that is connected to the server and go to the tab covering tree.

Under the properties of spanning tree tab, set the priority of bridge to 0.  This puts the root of the tree cover.

Try this and see if the second switch traffic and that it receives the ip address.

  • Unable to access the web interface for SG200-18

    Hello

I got a new switch and I am trying to connect a UCS.  I ping the switch very well, but when I try to use IE8 or firefox, I can't go to the web interface to configure.

    Here is my configuration:

    Cisco UCS C210 M2

    IP = 192.168.1.100

    Subnet = 255.555.255.0

    Default gateway = 192.168.1.1

    Switch SG200-18

Default IP = 192.168.1.254 (it is not DHCP)

    Any pointers?

    Tom G

You need to set a static IP on the PC that is connected to the switch. The IP address of the PC

must be on the same subnet as the 192.168.1.254.  You may need to try something lower to IE8. Should be

works with Firefox and IE7. There is also a browser called GreenBrowser which works usually with switches.

  • SX10 - how to access the web interface behind a firewall

    Howdy

I have a very simple configuration, router and behind her SX10. I can't access the web interface of the remote unit. Is there a port that I need to activate or something?

When the device was connected directly to the modem, with the public IP address, I was able to connect to the web interface.

    any suggestions here?

I enter anything in the field AllowRemote.

    Thanks in advance!

Web interface can be accessed using HTTP ether (80) or HTTPS (443).  To you how you want to deploy, but you can use NAT on the router, port forwarding, or even put the SX10 in DMZ on the router.

Why is Adobe flash player 11.0, allowed to block access to the Web site home pages, until their trash is installed?  They should be prosecuted for punishment of the loss of time by Internet users, who spend countless hours trying to fix their garbage, which takes control of the web and blocks PCs access to their program settings, unless it is done according to their specific updates. Hello

I installed the Log Insight 2.5 VM via vCenter Server ESXi 5, 5. I was able to deploy the virtual computer successfully and you can see the network through VAPP Options settings. (Attached picture - TIME settings).

    Question:

Unable to access LI web Interface. While trying to access the Web interface, I get 'Apache2 Ubuntu by default Page' (img attachment). Insight of the newspaper runs and opens the web application on port 80.

Check if the tcp 80 port is open through the netstat command. Yes, it is open.

Telnet on port 80, it says connection and crashes. Image attached - telnet-LI

Able to ping the IP address successfully.

How can I check http logs on console LI?

I would really appreciate response to this soon. I'm working on installation LI for more than a week and struggling to get through this way.

    Thank you

    Radhika

I believe that you with the configuration, but I tell you that the configured IP address and the IP you hit in your browser are not still the same IP, Log Insight does not work on Ubuntu, so you hit another system. To prove this, connect you to the console of the Insight newspaper and run:

    # cat/etc/SuSE - release

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64)

    VERSION = 11

    PATCHLEVEL = 2

You will see that you are running SuSE to see a Ubuntu screen tells me that you have an IP address duplicate in your environment and you hit a node that is not an Insight newspaper. I hope this helps!

    Sven,

I did some 508 complaint with APEX development in the past, and it is really very easy.

The mechanism of the apex model makes it easy to make your 508 compliant applications. The only thing to keep in mind when creating applications is that less is more; You may need are reluctant to use jQuery or other frameworks based on JavaScript, because they usually give screen readers a moment difficult.

The directives that you posted are a good start. There are also a lot of information available online, more precisely at http://www.section508.gov/

Another thing - we were able to get a couple of disclaimers with some of the more complex pages that we have built, as they were not for all users, but only for a select few users admin.

    I hope this helps!

  • Dell Powerconnect 3548P - a reference not rattling, or allowing access to the web console

    Hello

I wonder why we are able to access our PoE switch through the web console http, I can connect via the serial port and the Dell Setup Wizard, we have all the information and our ip address for that switch to 10.0.3.192 255.255.255.0 with a default gateway of 10.0.3.1.

So if trying to ping so still times out, and if you connect to it and change the pc ipv4 parameter to point to him, he will not allow access via browser.

Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I've reconfigured everything ManageEngine OpUtils connection to stack Dell via SNMP v2c and the issue seems to be fixed: stack of Dell was to be online from 4 pm and noting happened during the many analyses of OpUtils SNMP. I think that the problem is resolved.

For your convenience, Dell battery of newspapers (RAM and file those with the maximum detail level) show not record SNMP loss or drop.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Re-uploaded because there was no access to the web, and it is not yet. Opens in private browsing, no Firefox tab is visible, so I can't do anything.

I don't remember having chosen Private Browsing until I deleted Firefox on my computer. After you download from the Web site, the same screen appears. It does not resemble the Web site displays. I have a screenshot, but don't see a way to fix it here.
The top line is blue background of Windows and said "Start Mozilla Firefox - Mozilla Firefox (private browsing) Page".
Lower than that of the context Tan the usual File, Edit, View etc.
Lower than a tab with: the image of Fox and the "Mozilla Firefox Start Page.
Thaat below: arrow, arrow, box "go to a Web site", and arrears on the right a blue g and a tab drop down to search engines, down for downloads and the symbol of the House.
bottom line usual Google that shows that my most used bookmarks
The large area below that contains the symbol of the Fox in the Center above the search box (which does not). In the upper right corner is "mozilla" gray type.
Crossing the lower part is a clear grey banner with "downloads, Favorites, history, modules, sync and Settings" with their symbols above.
I had to remove PC Matic Supershield to get the download to work at all, and now after hours of tests, I am right where I started.

Make sure that you are not Firefox running in (permanent) private browsing mode.

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • Uncheck the box: [] "always use the navigation mode private.

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the file prefs.js and possible prefs - numbered # .js and a user.js file possible to restore the values all default prefs.

Try to start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.
