  All Dell monitors are equipped with CD for the drivers. Your laptop may not know the monitor without its driver, it will not install automatically. Please check:

  Ringht click an empty space on the desktop,

  Click Customize

  Click on display

  Click on change display settings

  Is there a way to have my work space reset itself (or better yet change between two workspaces) when I pass between my laptop and my external monitor to my office.
