300 DPI to 72 dpi

Receive a 72 dpi image, a portrait and measuring 25,347 inches inches 38,028 I thought that any effort that could do what it should be the image.

It is in sRGB.

Then, after my complaint, I rec'd this response:

In order to preserve all the data file of color, I sent you a print size 32 x 48 inches at 72 DPI that you will now compress one inch approximately 8 x 11 print at 300 ppi.  Having your dad compress the file to 300PPI in Photoshop.  Otherwise, we risk the potential loss of data (color settings), you will need to adapt to the color of the hair.

Does make sense?

Thoughts?

I work hard not to do end of disparaging comments of the person sent you the files, but EMI image size and resolution cause more headaches with Photoshop users with anything other than the color management (which I have problems after 20 years with the PS)

If the file is entirely raster, as in a file image with pixels as JPG, so don't think that in terms of pixels and work with the highest resolution can put at the disposal of the client and do not pixels.  To change the size, uncheck resampling in the image size dialog box, set the size to whatever units are working for you.  The CIO will change so the size to fill the available pixels.  If you need print it, then 300 dpi at the required size is considered to be optimal, but you can go much lower, depending on the size of the print quality and required.

  • HP AIO printers: "add pages to Scan" for the resolution up to 300 DPI only

    Hello

Want to share some information about "Pages of Scan Add' greater than 300 dpi of resolution.

HP devices will allow, adding a page to ADF documents (CAD) scans at 300 dpi or greater, but not flat scans (which allows you to add a page only up to 300 dpi, anything greater than 300 dpi will not the option 'Add the page analysis').

Flat scans we do not allow adding a page of resolution 600 and one more great given the re-reading of these resolutions.

Because flat scans with > 600 resolutions, we decided to provide the user a faster time to preview and select capacity and area from which scan at high resolution, rather than the entire page.

After that the user has an area forecast and analysis established, then a full analysis of the resolution is performed.  You cannot add a page AND provide these capabilities because you would have to place each of the pages that proofreading is carried out and they will have to be placed exactly where the page was put first for previewing.

Therefore, if you want to have multiple pages to scan, you can set the the Max resolution 300 dpi (which is sufficient for most documents/photos) and use the ADF or Scan glass.

    Hope that helps!

    Hello

You can pass the value of hp scan: launch of the demand application, select the shortcut to scan (PDF or JPG to the left) and change the resolution you want and save.

This will send down the printer settings. So the next time you scan, the printer uses these settings.

    Good impression.

How can I increase the resolution of scanning for HP6830 printer? Parameter is limited to 300 dpi, but the specifications indicate a much higher resolution available. Need at least 600 dpi for old family photos.

I solved the problem myself but HP did not it is simple - more instructions would have helped

change source setting of "use document feeder"to always scan from glass""

Then allows the resolution to be adjusted up to 1200 dpi

  • DeskJet 1510 - Force print 300 dpi?

    Hello

I have a specific requirement to print at 300 dpi. We have a Deskjet 1510 that I intend to use to do this, however the print quality of advanced options setting is "informative" and seems to only print at any DPI are provided by the application that originated the print job. I tried to define quality in project mode, but appears not to have had any effect.

Is there an entry registry or by setting the somewhere (or with use of a specific driver) by default all print at 300 DPI only?

    Hey @warmecha,

I'm sorry to hear that the other pilot fails to print through the RDP session. I thought that we would finally get to go for you. These things can sometimes be stubborn.

Regarding the other HP printers that can do specifically 300 dpi, I made a few inquiries and found 2 models that can suite your needs.

First, I looked into products that had only a 300-dpi option, and unfortunately no printer have this basic capability.

Instead, I found two printers that appear to match or be very close to the Deskjet 2000 capacity.

  • By default, Photoshop CC, harvest at 300 dpi?

I recently reset my default tools and do not remember if it is automatically cultures at 300 dpi. I need to print these photos, so it is important to me.  I thought it was the default, but wanted to make sure.

Also, under the Interpolation Edit/general/Image, what is the best Setup for me to use there?

    Thank you.

Just to add to the answer of c.pfaffenbichler, if you simply open say a new image of your camera in Photoshop and discover photography: Image > Image size, you will see the image size dialog box, indicating the Dimensions (you can change it pixels in the drop down for this purpose) and the resolution. If Resample is unchecked, you can change the size/resolution in proportion. If Resample is checked, you can select either menu drop down the sampling method, as bicubic smoother (enlargements). If it's just a value to enlarge an image slightly that it will become more flexible as it expands from adjacent pixels to sample and which influences the quality of the image.

He must spend some time on the size of the Image dialog box experiment so that you can get a thorough understanding of the relationship between the size and resolution, and if all goes well, it will make more sense when you use the crop tool.

For printing, depending on the method, you want a resolution of 300 pixels per inch (it can be lower), so if you want a picture to print 5 "x 6", the dimensions of your picture must be 1500px x 1800px

  • How to export my sketch in Photoshop in 300 dpi images

    Hello

When exporting my images of the sketch on the iPad for Photoshop on Mac, they seem to default to 72 dpi.  What makes the images 72cm wide and 72 dpi, which is not what I want.  We use images for a book, so they must be 300 dpi.

How can I export images at 300 dpi and make them appear as the right size in Photoshop?

    Thank you.

    See you soon

    James

    Hello James,.

I don't think at the moment, it is possible to choose a resolution of 300 DPI in sketches. However, you can export your art in Photoshop and set up your resolution for printing it. The iPad Pro has allowed me to create an illustration in sketch is 2732 x 2048 pixels. Using the sharing in Sketch (square with arrow at the top of the screen icon) feature, I chose to send to Photoshop. When the image open in PS, I adjusted the resolution we print, using the size of the Image. It is an easy workflow.

I've attached a screenshot of the dialog box size of the Photoshop Image with the original resolution sketches and the adjustment in Photoshop. Note that "Resampling" is disabled in the example below, while the number of pixels will remain the same, when the ppi to 300 ppi.

    I hope it's useful.

    Best regards

  • 300 dpi or more pixels and 72 dpi?

    Hi guys,.

This is perhaps a silly question...

When printing in quality is the same for a full-size image, let's say to the A4 at 300 dpi (21x30cm) or an image to the A2 (42 x 60 cm) format, which means more than an A4 four times but at 72 dpi?

My question if I have enough pixels but the images is set to 72 dpi, if I can still get a good print quality. I read somewhere that it's better to put the image in the exact size, you will print the poster. Sometimes, I forget, but the original image has quality but is set to 72 dpi. I don't know if this is causing problems.

    Too confusing? haha

    Thank you

The resolution for printing must be between 250 and 300 PPI (pixel per inch).

An image that you want to print to say 5 x 7 inches would need about 1500 x 2100 pixels image size. If she needed to say 10 x 14 inches, should be about 3000 x 4200 pixels.

If your original image is less than the example above and you want to zoom, you can do it in Photoshop, but it will soften the image. Using a bit of sharpening after interpolation will help a bit.

  • How to export a JPEG image at 300 dpi? PS keeps exporting to 96 DPI res attributed image 300px although / in

in Photoshop CC 2015.1 I have made sure my image is at 300 DPI by going to "Image > Image size" and set the resolution to 300 pixels per inch. However, when I go in "file > export > export as >"JPG "image is exported to 96 dpi. I know that the PS is exports to 96 DPI because when I open the image exported with the PS, the resolution is set at 96 dpi. Therefore, when I import the exported in Acrobat, PDF pages images look too big zoom 100%. I want to use 300 DPI because in this way the image (which has a resolution of 2500 x 3500 px) will look at a reasonable size at 100% zoom on the PC screen average when given via Adobe Acrobat. I also tried to export PS using "file > export > save for Web", but the results were the same.

So far the only solution that worked using PS must convert the PSD of a JPG using "" file > save as > JPG ". However, this method does not provide the export settings as much as "file > export". It's not possible to export JPEG files at 300 dpi with "file > export"?

My another workaround is to use a 3rd party software called XnConvert to change the dpi of the exported image without changing its dimensions in pixels.

Do not export, it is an unfinished feature that will remove the color profile, causing the images appear more saturated.

And it's probably defaults to 96 DPI, I don't think that you can change that.

PPI is metadata used by printer drivers to calculate print size, and it has no effect on the display screen. Dimensions in pixels are all that matters.

If you want to export multiple images at the same time, take a look at the image processor, located under file > Scripts.

I never use it, (I do this kind of thing in Lightroom), but I think you can select images in Bridge and run it from there.

  • When I send an email with an attached file it will reduce my 300 DPI photoshop file to 74 Dpi

How can I stop my photoshop file to be reduced when I send the file? He goes from 300 DPI to 74 DPI when it sends.

Changing the ppi to 300 to 72 has no effect on the quality of the file.

PPI is just metadata used by printer drivers to calculate print size - all that matters are the dimensions in pixels, that won't change.

You see, what the e-mail program or the program open the image assigning a 72 PPI.

    The pixel dimensions remain unchanged.
