303 hard drive error code, how to replace

I have run diagnostics from the system on my laptop and learned that the hard drive has not give the error code 303.  It came preloaded with 7 Home Premium from Windows OA.  We do not have a backup image or installation disk.  The laptop is old and out of warranty of 2 years.

Should what hard drive replacement options I look for?

Also, what options I have to install Windows 7?

Hello

Firstly, regarding the disk HARD, your laptop is listed as coming with a 500 GB hard drive, but you can just as easily install a 750 GB HARD drive if you want a little more than space - readers at the following links are examples that would be perfect for your laptop.

Hard drive 500 GB

750 GB hard drive.

The procedure to replace the hard drive starts on Page 54 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

Regarding the reinstallation of the operating system on the new drive, there are two options available.

1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.  The following link guess that you live in the United Kingdom.

Order recovery HP. - UK discs.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

You may need, additional drivers and software are here.

    I got a Hard Drive - WDC WD10JPVT-75A1YT0

What does this failure of the stress test?

This system is almost certainly out of warranty - and you do not have a failed hard drive on your hands.  However, the seven beep code indicates a problem with the CPU or the motherboard separated from the wrong drive.

The overheating problem is probably what destroyed the hard drive.  If you want to repair the system, you need a new, 2.5 "9.5 mm or more thin disc SATA laptop to replace the defective one.  You can also check how you installed the heatsink - you replaced the thermal pads when you did?  Otherwise, it could easily be the source of overheating that causes the system to stop.

Replacing a hard drive makes sense - if there is more damage just the drive, it is likely that you will need a motherboard, which will cost enough to consider a replacement system, particularly given the age of it.

  • Hard drive error code 301

Can I replace/recover my hard drive after receiving the error message "drive smart error 301"?  I have a PC laptop HP G72-253NR, product # LG583UA. I received the error message and now when I turn on my system it will start not and will be automatically forwarded to the Startup Repair. Then, I get the message "a hard drive problem prevents Windows to start."  This leads me to believe that my hard drive failed completely.  My laptop is no longer under warranty and I need a quick inexpensive fix. Help, please.

    Hello

The Smart 301 error would indicate the drive is defective and must be replaced - which is also consistent with the startup error.

Your laptop is considered to be coming with a 640 GB hard drive, but whereas there is little or no difference in the cost, you can just as easily install a 750 GB HARD drive if you want a little more space - the player on the following link is an example that would be perfect for your laptop.

    750 GB hard drive.

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 50 of your & Maintenance Guide.

Once this is done, simply use your recovery DVD to reinstall the operating system on the new drive - this is described in the document of HP here.

If you do not have your recovery discs, you can order a replacement set using the link below.

  • Hard drive error (Code inside)

I have a laptop Compaq Presario CQ62-225NR (running Windows 7, did not come with an installation disc) which froze during use and would begin not later upward; It just says: 'Windows loading files', then crashes on a blue background enough.  I did a test drive that comes up error id "PGFAMG - 55264 L-XD0036-60TL03" for hard disk 1.  If someone could identify the problem, it would be great.  Thank you.

    Hello

A possible way to try to recover your files from a disk non-boot is to follow the process described in the link below.  The CD of the Ubuntu operating system you create can launched from the CD alone (IE it doesn't have to be installed on the hard drive) and I've often found to successfully extract data even a hard failure.  When you created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can save your existing files.

Dell inspiron 1545 does not start when turned on

Replace the hard disk, restore the computer from the Dell installation discs, then reinstall your programs.

If you are really desperate for files on a car rental company to restore data to the files - it will cost several hundred to several thousand dollars and may or may not work.  There are file recovery utilities that can recover deleted files, but they probably won't work in this case and the craziest you with the player less it is likely something can be recovered.

Here are the specifications of your laptop of HP ENVY 17-3077NR. You receive the error code indicates that your computer's hard drive has failed or is about to fail. To resolve this issue, you must replace the hard drive with a new one that is similar to the original hard drive. It is clear this form, this model uses a single 750GB 2.5 "SATA hard drive.

Once you replace the hard drive, you will need to use your HP recovery disc set staff to return the computer to a factory State. If you don't create these disks, you may order from HP or third-party provider ComputerSurgeons.com. If the figure 25 Windows product key on your computer is still readable, you can download Windows and install it using the product key on your computer.

  • Satellite L350 - persistent master hard drive errors

I've known persistent main hard disk errors. Errors, in their first incarnation, were windows freeze at loading screens and screensavers, and then developed by stopping Windows to boot at all. It certainly would not start normally and sometimes would not start in safe mode. I used the recovery partition to restore the computer to its factory settings. A day or two later, the same symptoms began to manifest again, although not as severely. The hard drive errors, freeze on screens and loading screen savers.

My question is: if I re - format the hard drive master, thus destroying the recovery partition, I could then just restore windows from a newly formed recovery CD? And, in addition, what is the probability that reformatting the drive hard completely would have an effect on the frequency of errors?
If the hard drive is simply borked, format or not? And if yes, what is the next step?
Could I restore windows on my drive hard slave and give up on the master?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

Are you sure that all these problems related to the HARD drive at 100%? How did you check that?

I don t mean it s not the HARD drive, theoretically, you could be right but before you think to change the HARD drive please use a diagnostic tool special for HDD as Drive Fitness Test:
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/support/downloads/#DFT

This tool can check your HARD drive for bad sectors.

If the HARD features of bad sectors disk, formatting will not help you because the sectors are physically damaged. With other words, the only chance is to exchange it.

But if you have already used the recovery feature of HARD Toshiba drive to reinstall Windows you can say s that no problem of software and it must be hardware related. ;)

You will need to replace the hard drive. Update to Windows 10 had nothing to do with it. After the back if you want to help find a car and its installation and reinstallation of Windows. If your Windows 10 appeared as it is activated, you can do a clean reinstall of Windows 10.
