32-bit Windows VISTA update problems

I have a Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) system.

It seems that the automatic updates does NOT work properly. My system has not been verified (automatically) for 5 days now. It was every day.

When I try and ' check for updates ' manually update goes on and so on - for hours and nothing happens.

I installed KB3177725 and it worked for a while - but now I'm back where I started from.

Also, if I reinstall the update again and never check "Search for updates", I must have this here in or setting I can go back to auto check and hope that all of the work.

Setting the automatic updates in Windows Vista became one exercise per month. See:

Try to get a dchange the boot order in the BIOS and repaired a boot with the drive below:

Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

I'm running on Windows vista SP1. (I know there is a SP2, but can't get it)

If I try to update via windows update I get an error: Code 80240016. If I try manually when I get to the posting form, I can not get this page to load, I get another error. Also I can't get updates from Toshiba. I have a great internet connection, update is the only thing that does not work. I recently lost the ability to play music from itunes, but the player still works, so I know this isn't a sound problem. I've had the computer for a little over a year now and it started about a month ago and so far windows customer service isn't being helpful. I tried a number of patches online, but none work, can anyone help me? What could be to keep me update Windows and Toshiba? Also, I tried disabling all firewall that I know I have, and that doesn't always.

  • WINDOWS VISTA UPDATE PROBLEM AFTER REINSTALLING

I reinstalled Vista, resolved all the problems & updates has been working well until the moment when SP2 was installed successfully. I then received a message that the updates would not check until I installed agent 7.6.7600.256.I did this & it installed successfully. My problem now is that update work simply & races, apparently never find or stop any future error message, just past constantly.

  • Windows Vista updates (12 April 2010) broke all the desktop shortcuts

On 13 April, I fist notice this problem. I managed to it is resolved according to restore my computer to a previous point prior to the windows vista update have been installed. I didn't create a new restore point and also forgot to uncheck "automatic installation of windows. A few days later, the same problem after updates have been installed again on April 15. Unfortunately, this time I don't have a restore point previous April 15. So, I restored it on next day 16, but not resolved the issue. Fortunately it affects only an admin user (user account that run windows update) all users are very well.

I'm Zenith one 733F error Code when I try to install the latest Windows Vista Update, which is an update to SQL Server 2005 (Service Pack 2 KB970895).  This update has failed several times now.

I followed the advice given in a separate post in this forum at Ramer49 to perform a selective startup with msconfig to try to run the update with all Microsoft Services disabled.  This does not solve the problem.

I spent reviewing the logfile under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB970895_sqlrun_sql.msp.log.  The problem highlighted is that the Services of Services SQL2005 database program did not start.  Here is an excerpt from the log file...

  • We tried to upgrade our 32-bit windows vista system to Windows 7 32 bit

    Separated from this thread.

We tried to upgrade our system to 32-bit windows vista to windows 7 32 bit and find no right answer to what we have to do to upgrade to windows vista 32. So far, our experience is our head is ROTATING and can someone help us?

First of all, make sure that your PC meets the requirements of Windows 7 - system Windows help

You can buy Windows 7 from one of the major retailers who still like mainline, new egg, or Tiger Direct - Amazon but none is smaller that that if you want to be sure to get the real and not renovated or eBay!  If in doubt ask here before you buy, read the comments of the sales page for the experience of others.

Once you have the disc, put it in the drive to make an update install with Windows 7 .  If you have a Vista factory install I would firstly follow these same steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware that will optimize for a better upgrade.

If this facility is not satisfactory, then do the vastly superior clean reinstall Windows 7
