  Yes, I have read on these discussions here in the forum but it doesn t always work and there is no official support for this procedure. Everything you do with these BIOS recovery tools arrive at your own risk and in the worst cases you could destroy the whole ROM module.

  Best option would contact an authorized service provider because the guy may have professional tools to reflash the ROM module where the BIOS is stored. Then you should get in touch with the guy and ask for help. They can also tell you how much it will cost.

  1. try to update BIOS and check if it work s

  I downloaded the update to the latest bios available on the Toshiba site for model Satellite P200 Windows Vista 32bits version 17. (Upgrade v1.40)
  The following directory structure is created in the bios-20080630110240, containing files; the program installation and SRAA250a.rom.

  When I run the Setup, the zip file extract but then stops: "the size of the rom file is incorrect. Upgrading the bios fails to take effect? Any suggestions will be most useful.

  If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.

  Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

  Well, I found the BIOS version 1.6 of 30.9.05 on the Toshiba driver page.
  This version should work properly.
  I guess you tried to upgrade the BIOS with the win version. Please consult this document:

  You will find information how to upgrade the BIOS on the R100. You must use the trad-BIOS version.

  It is impossible on multiple systems, update BIOS 7020 OptiPlex by using the update for my Windows version found here.

  When I try to run the O7020A08.exe file, I get the following error message:
