Satellite A200 - updated BIOS fail

I made the big mistake. I tried to install the update of BIOS for my A-200 SAT. Everything went well but after blocking switch off PC unbootable.
If I start it manually led power lights up flesh hard drive some time, and that's it.

I got this update with toshiba TEMPRO with Toshiba. I need some advice

Which is really bad, but in this case you can t whatever it is.

You should go to a local ASP. Maybe they can the recovery BIOS and in the worst cases, the mainbaord must be exchanged.
On the Toshiba site, you can search for an authorized service provider.

I'm afraid that the BIOS is screwed now. I don't know what BIOS and how you installed, but something is wrong.

I don't know what you can do now, but check this thread - please https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread.php?54395

Following the instructions here, maybe you'll be able to fix the BIOS.

  • Satellite P200 - updated BIOS fail to step 3

Then I thought, I have to keep my computer up to date. So I tried to update the BIOS. BIOS update remained stuck for 3 hours at some stage 3. The computer does not restart now, not even a configuration screen. DEAD

I read somewhere that you can make a USB bootable flash BIOS recovery. Then use some combination of keys that is, Fn or Fn and B W (don't remember). Can someone give me a step by step guide where to download the software, right to the recovery of my BIOS and the machine?

I don't have to pay fees to have my PC works again as it was working perfectly before this upgrade attempt. I have nothing wrong.

    Thank you
    spiralvista

    I have ocso4m pspb6a model (model AU)

    Hi spiralvista,

    > I read somewhere that you can make a USB bootable flash BIOS recovery
Yes, I have read on these discussions here in the forum but it doesn t always work and there is no official support for this procedure. Everything you do with these BIOS recovery tools arrive at your own risk and in the worst cases you could destroy the whole ROM module.

Best option would contact an authorized service provider because the guy may have professional tools to reflash the ROM module where the BIOS is stored. Then you should get in touch with the guy and ask for help. They can also tell you how much it will cost.

I'm sorry that I can't give another t you not answer but here it s a user forum to only where you can talk with normal people like you and me no one of Toshiba here ;)

  • Satellite A200-1BQ - BIOS update failed

    Hello everyone

I update the BIOS of my laptop and something went wrong: () now my laptop does not turn on the screen.

I went to see on the web about Cree Bios recover. I created my floppy drive and I am using a USB drive connected to the USB port on the right below.

When I click FN + B laptop computer goes into mode of recovery and is 40 seconds for the disc I wait 10 minutes turn off the laptop and nothing (still dead: ())
I downloaded the bios.wph tohsiba site for this laptop.

The laptop is a: Satellite A200-1BQ. Part number: PSAECE-01V011PT

Please help me... the phone reads the disk but then does nothing... must be something failed... have used the phlash.ini but do not...
    Thank you very much

    Hi fear_angel,

Well, I think in this case you can do anything and I would not try this BIOS recovery program. There is no formal way and you could destroy most or the entire module ROM.

You must contact an authorized assistance service provider. Technicians can try to reflash the ROM module I'm sure they will help you as much as possible.

    Good luck! :)

  • Satellite A500 - update BIOS with dead battery

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A500 (PSAR3E) laptop and I need to update the BIOS to the latest version.
Unfortunately, my battery died completely, and I have no chance to get a working one.

I was trying to update the bios all day, but no matter how I try (even created a boot back drive and took command line phlash16, /forceit and so on) it keeps telling me that he needs at least 10% charged battery present.

How can this problem be solved?

    > If I remove the battery, engine update fails, say there is no battery present, if I fix the battery, then update will fail saying the battery must be at least 10% - but he died, this percentage is 0.
And you write about original Win version that you have downloaded from the Toshiba BIOS download page and started in Windows?

To be honest is unclear to me that there is a trick to avoid this situation.
Maybe something stupid, but now, do you really need to install the update to the BIOS?
Is there a problem with your machine?

  • Re: Satellite A200-1FL: BIOS asking me a password that I don't know

    Hello world

Last week was a bad BIOS update and my laptop has not begun. I managed to fix it with the crisis recovery disk and the "BIOS update" of the toshiba support web http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/eula/info_eng2.asp for Toshiba Satellite A200 PSAE6E, Windows Vista.

My problem now is that BIOS and system start-up or disk, after that the BIOS to ask me a password that I don't know because I had a different password for the BIOS and no for the starting System.

Anyone who would these passwords? I tried a few default passwords found in internet with no luck

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I think that if someone can really help with this password or something like that in this forum. You should contact ASP (SAV).

  • Satellite A200-1BW - BIOS issue

I have the above laptop downgraded to purchase Vista Ultimate to WXP SR2, but I'll have questions, get the BIOS to recognize that there is 4 GB of RAM in there. He thinks that there is 3GB.

Two ram chips have been checked and they are pairs of 2 GB.
The version of the BIOS that is running is 1.4.

The 3 questions I have are:

    1. What is the portable version, should I be selection when choosing my laptop to look for a BIOS upgrade, I guess it's the (Satellite A200 (PSAEC) as is the farm that need the code of the laptop on the back, I don't see that the A200-1BW listed anywhere on your site. It is an upgrade of the BIOS so I want to make sure that I applied the correct version.

    2. what BIOS should I be executed, because the BIOS in Vista is currently 1.8 and the BIOS XP currently 5.8, it seems that my laptop is running the wrong version of the BIOS for my operating system.

3 upgrades new BIOS (if any) does the problem of 3 to 4 GB?

Note: It is not that memory does not appear in Windows XP Home edition, it's the BIOS screen post indicating that he has only 3 GB on the machine when there are actually 4GB

    Thanks in advance
    Tony

With regard to the number of question

    (1) the serial number of the laptop is found at the bottom of the unit. Check the label. I found the info also, that the A200-1BW would belong to the PSAECE series.

    (2) If you are using the operating system XP on this laptop you must update the BIOS to the XP version. If you want to use Vista, updated the BIOS to the version of Vista.

    (3) usually after the BIOS update the 4 GB of memory should be recognized.
Note _But; _ the version of Vista 32 bit will always be use only 3 GB of RAM due to the limitation of the 32 bit OS!

    Best regards

  • Satellite T135 - update BIOS 2.70 won't be finished

I have a Satellite T135 Win7 running with an original BIOS that I'm moving to 2.70. I ran all the other software updates in Service Station (2.1.51) with no problems. but the BIOS downloads 2.7, initiates and cautions that I'll need to reboot (I select Yes to execute) and receive notice of popup on the electrical problem (defective DC) which corrects this BIOS, then nothing. It just stops.

I disabled my firewall windows antivirus, but the update is still unable to fill. I downloaded the file directly from Toshiba (outside the Service Station) and run the file and exactly the same thing happens.
The event viewer shows all the related entries.

Anyone has an idea on how to get the updated BIOS up-to-date?

    Hi mwarwick,

Did you install any new version of package of added value of the Web from Toshiba site? This program is necessary if you want to update the BIOS to check if you have installed the latest version.

In addition I recommend you load the default settings in the BIOS before doing the update. Then, go into the BIOS, press F9 to load the default values, save & exit it.

Can update you the BIOS now?

  • Satellite L750D - update BIOS 2.1 and its problem

    Hello

I have little problem. I was downloaded from your website 2.1 BIOS for Toshiba Satellite L750D (PSK32E).

I have been updating BIOS 2.1 and start the problem with the sound. When I start the game, music or else minutes 2 first sound plays correctly but then it stops without reason. No noise at all. I've been reinstalled op system but the problem is still there.

Sound works for 2 minutes only then is completely off. Each application to start with sound plays 2 minutes and stop all silent is. I did a probe on my laptop the mother she s a computer portable twin. I have updated bios same problem 2 minutes and then no sound. My OS is win 8 64 pro my laptop mother is with win 7 x 64 premium.

Two BIOS updated ver 2.1 on L750D and the problem is the same. Please fix the BIOS.

The BIOS seems to be very old. I was released nearly 1.5 years ago, so to be honest, I doubt that his and BIOS problem.

I had the similar problem with my other laptop equipped with a Realtek sound card.
The sound appeared after connection and remove the headphone jack
But I could solve this latest installation updated audio driver the Realtek driver page.

But it seems that your Satellite does not support Realtek audio chip but the Conexant audio chip.
Therefore, the solution could not be useful for you.

However, I think that you need to update the audio driver. I recommend you google for driver Conexant SmartAudio HD and test the latest version of the driver available.
On the internet, I find the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver version 8.65.9.51 for Win 7 / 8 Win / Win 8.1
Not quite sure if this is the latest version, but you can test it.

    To manually update your driver:

    1. go into the Device Manager (right click on my computer, choose manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel)
    2. right click on the device you want to update and choose Update driver software
    3. choose Select the location of the new driver manually and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the driver

  • Satellite A200 - update card WiFi

    I have Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1 MB PSAE0E with WiFI card 4965AGN.

I want to change the old WiFi card with Intel N 6300, but when I insert the new card of the laptop does not work, at all. When I go back to the old, all right. What should I do to fix?

    Thanks in advance.

    > What should I do to fix?
Maybe a stupid comment from me, but noting is broken and cannot be fixed. Problem is hardware compatibility. If some piece of hardware is not compatible, it will not work.

As far as I know that these improvements are not supported by Toshiba and if you want to have fast WLAN connectivity and the most recent I recommend you use the USB (USB WLAN key) solution.

The numlock light does not illuminate, but it does if I activate the keys on the stretch main qwerrty.
Is their any way to reload the bios it won't let me because I have the latest or downgrade may not be like that until anothrer update.

By the wy am Windows 7 any info would be greatly apreciated thanks

    Hello

Normally you press Numlock on the keyboard to enable it.
    Check this box!

If it s not working do not you should load the default settings in the BIOS. Maybe it works.

Last but not least just be sure it s not a hardware problem, can test you it with the factory settings?
