I changed the black ink carteidge and began to run a test page after alingment but when I tried to do this although it seems there is no impression that it was printing and I tried to print my documents etil would print not but he once store went through the process with any impression that I received a message to download a fix for this , in my opinion, he went on to say it could not be fixed by the printer (DOCTOR?) SO THE DOWNLOAD SUGGESTION ANY ideas please? IT WILL PRINT. IS THERE ISSUE A PARAMETER? OR IS THERE A WAY TO RESTORE THE RESPECTIVE MT TOSHEBA WINDOWS TEN, RATHER THAN DO THE DOWNLOAD?     There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

    A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

    Unfortunately there is no printer 'most recent' which will be able to use the cartridges 56 and 57. You will find a list of printers that do not use these cartridges here. Since you have an older HP printer, you may be able to get an upgrade deal through HP Technical Support. You may also be able to get these cartridges exchanged for different cartridges if you end up having another HP printer. More information about the replacement of the cartridge.

    Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand your HP Deskjet 2542 shows offline and you cannot print. I see that you have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers without success. Looks like you may need to rerun Setup wireless. Please follow the steps listed below:

    1. disconnect the USB key if you use a direct connection.

    2. remove the HP software DJ 2542 uninstall from the control panel of your computers an option of the program.

    3. restart the computer.

    4. make sure that all the software DJ 2542 disappeared from the list programs, but also your HP folder listed under all programs in your Start Menu.

    5. now go ahead and download the software and drivers for your DJ 2542, please select the USB to wireless conversion (DO NOT connect USB until the software prompts you to):

  • deskjet2130: hard to get my new 2130 office jet printing on mac

    Hi there-

    I got a new usb cable and printer.

    I have pluged in there, I added the printer to the mac in the System Preferences folder as needed. I also installed the driver from HP (version 1.5)

    but I can not print, not even a test page.

    When I click on print file can be see in the print queue, send, it says 0% it disappears then - but the printer does not react.

    When I open "completed jobs" all items I've tried printing appear here - although no print in fact.

    What on Earth is happening (or not as the case may be)?

    as it's a mac nothing assistance Advisor on the hp site seem to be applicable - and I can't use the support site, because I'm in Germany and this was bought here - I can only contact personal support using German - and I do not speak German!

    any advise?

    I can help you to install and use your Deskjet with your Mac running 10.9 2130. I understand that you have connected the USB cable and added to the printer using the 1.5 version of the pilot, but I suggest to use the Easy Start software instead.

    HP Easy Start is the new way to set up your HP printer and get your Mac for printing. HP Easy Start will locate and install the latest software for your printer, and then guide you through the installation of the printer.

  • printing test pages fine, but not pdf

    have a deskjet 2510. will print out the letters and the text very well, but when I try to print maps with symbols from a pdf file it prints the first 2 "fine then print very feint or not at all.  managed the doctor print and scan, have change of foxit adobe pdf files, but there is still the problem.  I did a full test page and everything goes well along the page, even if the black block, which should be next to the e-f color block isn't here at all. all black text printed fine. some of the small cages upstairs have a small broken line.  any help please
