4525 proBook s: 4525 probook s 613211 notherboard

I have a Probook s 4525. The BIOS went south during an upgrade. I was told, by a local authorized service center thast, the motherboard was a 613212-001. I didn't have the money to buy a new motherboard. Well, I finally had the money and bought another motherboard. After taking part in the machine, I learned that the motherboard was in fact a 613211-001. Can I use the inplace 613212 of the 613211 without any problems?

Hello

4525 proBook s is a series of many models/products. There are 10 models use 613212-001:

http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=613212-001

and 40 models use 613211-001

http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=613211-001

They are not the same. My suggestion: swap for the right part.

Kind regards.

This list of the processor that are compatible with your system, you will see on the product description page. A little further in the manual, it gives also a tear complete procedures to remove and replace the processor.

A word of warning, for the processor in a laptop can be a time-consuming task and difficult. You know for sure that it is the processor that went wrong? There could be a number of other things that could trigger an operating system that would be more likely than the processor.

  • HP Probook s 4525: HP Probook 4525 s memory clock

    Hi guys.

Recently, I did a upgrade to my Probook 4525 s. I decided to add an another ram 4 GB 1333 MHz PC3 - 10600 module for an existing (Samsung M471B5273CH0-CH9). After I did it I discovered that both modules run together @ 1066 MHz and timings base as if only one module is installed in the system.

So far, I tried to exchange with others 2 independent modules (a samsung and a SKhynix) where both were 1600 MHz PC3-12800 spec but the system still works @ 1066 MHz.

The data sheet for Probook s 4525 said it supports 1066 MHz and 1333 MHz. But it never works at 1333 MHz. With the module specd 1333 or 1600 specd.

    Any thoughts on this topic?

Mine is running CPU AMD Phenom II P960 with AMD HD5470 graphics processor dedicated.

    Hello:

This link indicates that the processor will only work the memory at 1066 MHz.

You can install the compatible memory back (1600 or 1333 MHz), but it will only work at 1066 MHz.

  • 4525 proBook s accessories

    Hello.

I have two things to ask, firt both the question of the title.

Where can I find accessories for my laptop. For example, I want to get the CD-ROM with battery, add RAM, or maybe connect location ExpressCard SSD. But I can't find it on the internet. So where can I find and buy. I must say, I'm from the Czech Republic.

    And the second Q is:
Because this laptop (4525 s) don't have a backlit keyboard, it will be fine, if I should turn on all the LEDS on the keyboard. Free Wi - Fi and the power is ok. But I want to turn the caps lock buttons, email and browser. Is it possible? Even if it means a programming drivers for me...?

So, I'm looking for replyes and wish beautiful week for all the world.

Here is a link with a variety of accessories for your computer: Probook 4525 accessories

Since you have an ExpressCard slot, you will need to do some research to find out what SSD better meets your needs. As long as it is intended for an ExpressCard slot you shouldn't have any problems.

Also AFAIK, it would be extremely difficult to 'program' the keyboard lights to stay all the time.

    Good luck
    Sean

  • How to disable the touchpad on Probook 4525 s permanently?

How to disable the touchpad on Probook 4525 s permanently?  Can I uninstall the driver in Control Panel, but the next time, he is back on again once.  I use a usb mouse and touchpad is simply in the way when I type.

    Damy salvation!

There are a few options depending on your OS and your version of TouchPad.

    • The best option, if it should be available for you is:

New drivers (at least the V16.x) have the ability to disable the TouchPad / click on the keypad with a setting on the main page 'Settings' when a USB mouse is used.  This is a very nice feature.

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

CHECK "disable the pointing device internal when the external USB pointing device is attached.

If you want to be alerted and see a visual cue of disability >

TICK "Animated icon in the taskbar" >

and make sure you have your updated task bar notifications so you can see the view of the mouse.

    =====================================================

Here's a 16.2.X TouchPad driver for the ProBook series - it can run on your laptop:

    sp58647 Synpatics V.16.2.10.12

    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Another method that may work with a driver older if the best option isn't available:

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

() repeat) TouchPad settings (button) > click tapping >

    Click the shimmering blue wheel

In "box to Disable TouchPad settings".

CHECK "Double Tap to activate / disable the TouchPad.

In the 'Action in the upper left'

    CHECK "Turn off the TouchPad.

    Close

    Ok

    NOTE
if this alternative is available, it is very well, unless something goes wrong.  You could get stuck without your USB mouse AND no way to return to the setting to activate the touchpad.  I don't know if I would use this setting.

  • Ethernet card Question (HP Probook 4525 s XT950UT) Windows 7

    Hello

I am in College in the fall and my dorm has ports ethernet for internet usage. I did some research and found that I need to have an ethernet card installed to connect my laptop with an ethernet port. I have a port on my laptop, but I couldn't find the ethernet card in the--> network adapters Device Manager. I don't have Bluetooth (Personal Area Network), Bluetooth (RFCPMM TDI Protocol), Broadcom and Wifi Miniport to adapt. How will I know if I have an installed ethernet card and if I did, how I install one?

    Hello:

Your laptop has a setting in the BIOS called LAN Power Save.

When you are not connected to the a/c power and your laptop is not connected with an ethernet cable, your wired network card appears not in Device Manager, as it has been disabled in the BIOS to save batteries.

You can connect a cable to the ethernet port on your and your wired adapter should come to life. If it isn't and you intend to have your laptop connected to the a/c power, when connected via the ethernet cable, just go into the BIOS and disable the LAN Power Save setting, and your wired adapter will always be present and available in the nursery of dev.

Another common parameter in professional laptops from HP's BIOS is the LAN/WLAN, commissioning. When you connect to a wireless network, your wireless card automatically by turns and visa versa.

If you don't want that to happen either, then disable the setting.
