  I installed the software of the printer Photosmart 6520 without error during installation. When I double click the icon of HP Photosmart 6520 series on my desktop to run the 'printer' Wizard nothing happens. Other than the printer works very well.   The HP printer Assistant is part of the latest version of the software only.

  If you see an irrelevant tune printer icon in the HP software, delete the software following programs > HP > Photosmart HP 6520.

  "HP printer Assistant" for HP 6520 Series printer opens full screen.  How can you do open in a smaller window, so it does not cover the whole desktop on startup?  Running Windows 7.

  It seems that you are having problems with your printer HP Assistant. What I watched online from various places, including this one:

  Hi, I have a Photosmart Plus B210 connected wireless to my home network.

  When I try to run the wizard on the printer, I get a script error (only, not open in Notepad), as seen in this post:

  To try to solve this I have done both steps of the solution 1 and 2 in this post (I'm on Vista x 64) and still have the problem.

  In desparation I tried also the recommendation of this post, suggested by Erico:

  I have uninstalled/reinstalled all the software and drivers, using the two Uninstall HP once, and using another control panel and still have the problem.

  No, you can't. You need to analyze as searchable text and your photosmart 6520 does not have OCR software (when you bought this printer) in support. You can buy an OCR software.

  1. Copy the url.json file to another location (Office, perhaps)
  2. Then, change the copied file and save
  3. then copy this file and replace the original one in your file assistant hp
  4. Open the hp printer assistant

  I guess access to modify the refused for security of windows 7

  to stop people or programs make changes to files, particularly in the C drive.

  Remember to keep a backup of the file in case something goes wrong...

• All-in-one Officejet Pro 8610: 8610 Pro HP Printing Assistant has no Scan Options

  Recently installed new software last 8610 and downloaded.  Not install the option to order ink automatically.

  The device uses the ATF feeder to reproduce documents, but did not during the scanning - it assumes that the document is on the glass, while feeder warning tones and the display Panel recognizes that a document is in the charger.  I went to the computer and access to the HP printer Assistant by some other items, but see that I don't have any options for scanning under HP printer Assistant. I ran HP Update for this printer and it says my software is up to date.

  Thanks for the comments, it seems that, somehow, older drivers are in conflict with the 8610 causes the scan communication error.

• Cannot start "Printer Assistant" Officejet Pro 8600

  The Printer Wizard and my 8600 worked well for over a year.  Now, I can't start "printer Assistant".  This may have been triggered by an 8.1 Win update.  Others on the Discussion Board have said to uninstall all programs, HP, reboot and then download the package "full of features" on the HP site.

  Everything I did.  Installation works very well.  Print, fax and scan all work very well during a test.  A shortcut has been installed on the desktop.  But I can't start the "printer Assistant", either in the upper part of the counter, the Start button, the program file.

  I used the Trouble Shooter to try to find the problem.  Since the troubleshooting I could open "Scan HP - HP Officejet Pro 8600".  From there, I could launch a successful analysis.  But the only way to this page that I found through the Trouble Shooter.

  The Printer Wizard is loaded on my computer: worm 28.0.1315.0 file; 5.16 MB. Last updated on 17/10/12.

  Thank you for your reply, I appreciate the clarification. I still think that the patch is a good idea to try.

  If it still does not respond, try the following in the following order:

  1. Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the printer software.
  2. Clean boot the computer. How to perform a boot in Windows.
  3. Disable all antivirus programs. Turn Windows Defender on or off. (This works in Windows 8.1).
  4. Disable the firewall. Turn Windows Firewall on or off. (This works in Windows 8.1).
  5. Create a new user account. Create a user account.
  6. Re-install the software using the printer HP install wizard for Windows.

  NO error message

  NO changes to the system until after it started then improved then just put update HP firmware

  It worked yesterday.  When you have selected the "HP OfficeJet 6600" desktop on the desktop shortcut, he ran a sreen which allowed you to print, scan, fax, showed levels of ink, etc.

  IF you right click on "HP printer Assistant" on this screen, it gives you the possibility to make a shortcut.  The shortcut created and has properties where the 'target' is never developed so that you can not even say that he's not trying to run.

  I called customer service and talked to a nice girl named Stephanie.  She was very helpful and tried exactly the same things I did the week last with the same results...  However, I decided to do another printer to the printer from my last more (410).

  I sincerely advise guys to call directly, and your product is new, you will get a very good support and give advice on what to do.

  We get a new printer and expect us it to work and HP understands that - simply call and your problems are more likely to be resolved here.

This has happened the first or second time I tried to use the software to check ink levels.  I tried ninstalling and reinstall the software without success.

  Because of an update, the HP printing software no longer works.  More important still, I used to have the "Scan to Computer" service activated permanently and cannot determine how I should do now.  By clicking on the "HP printer Assistant" in the HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z app does nothing.

• Photosmart HP 6520: Print only on half a page

  Recently out of no where the my printer suddenly started to only print Word or PDF documents on half of the paper from the printer. By the half of the book, I mean that the checks were printed as if the print settings are to adapt to several pages (probably 2) per sheet of paper. I checked my print settings and it is always configured to print 1 page per side, and then to return along the long double-sided printing side. I also made sure that the paper size defined in the print settings associated with the size of the paper, I use actually in the printer. I tried to reset my printer and my computer, but doesn't seem to work. Any help is appreciated thank you.

  I see that your suddenly get a problem when printing from Microsoft Word or PDF documents.  I suggest to uninstall and reinstall the HP software if you have not already.  If you could provide me with the version of operating system running on your computer, then I should be able to provide the updated software for the Photosmart 6520 and instructions on how to uninstall.

  The blue light is on, but suddenly my computer (Mac or CAP) does not see the printer any longer. I ran a few tests and it seems that the printer has a problem with the connection to the router...   Looks like there might be an update on the router and something that were previously opened cannot be more. Please refer to the post check the anti-virus for blocked Ports and Timed scans of VisionAiry and it will notify all the ports that must be opened on the router. If you don't know how to open the ports yourself, check with your router company or Internet service provider for assistance
