7 from Microsoft's disappointing!
I'm sorry to ask this question here; but I feel that I have waited long enough and lost my patience with the so-called best OS ever ! Reset... Error... Reset... Grrrrrr! I don't have to change the variables and what nots just to get a 'simple' installed on my HP PC upgrade.
Is their way to put the Mac OS x Snow Leopard in PC?
Once again, sorry for this post but I've done everything I can do. I even called customer support MS and has got an international representative who does not understand English and couldn't understand what I had to do. So, if someone wants to throw in the sense there are two, please do!
Ubuntu here I come!
G_AP31
Hello G_AP31, welcome.
To add to what Varun J said, so that we can help you, we will need to get more specific information. Can you please provide us with some type of error message or stop the code? What exactly happens when you try to start Windows?
It is possible to use Mac OS x on a PC, however, Microsoft does not support the software or the process to set up the software. You may be able to find support for this on a site of 3 rd-party. As an info, most computers (including those equipped with AMD processors) have a little trouble running to the port of Mac OS x. Is there driver problems when porting the OS.
Ubuntu is also not supported, however, you may be able to have better luck wise pilot with this line of operating systems. In any case, as already said, this isn't something Microsoft or your computer manufacturer is supported. The product was not designed to do this.
If you can give us more detailed information about what happens when you try to start your computer, we can solve the problem.
Thank you! Ryan Thieman

Can I use a display target on the iMac with a laptop from Microsoft?
I have Microsoft Laptop and I would like to connect to my iMac 27 inches to use as a screen that I know we can do it with Mac Book but we can do it in the same way with a laptop computer from microsoft?
Thank you
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Apple only supports the display mode of the target if you want to use your iMac as external to display for an another Mini DisplayPort or Mac of Thunderbolt.
Also, note that you would be able to plug a laptop with Mini DisplayPort connector, or Thunderbolt, and two of them are very strange connectors on non-Apple computers.

Hi all, I'm Lee. It's nice to meet all of you here.
I have a question that I actually have to ask here since I can't really find an answer Google search or in this forum.
Here's the situation, my business has intensive software that is developed with Microsoft Visual Studio and coded with Visual Basic.NET. He works alongside the databases from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio as well. All this time, that this software is published and provided to clients, we do not have a recognition of Microsoft or certification on this software.
So here's the question: is it possible to ask for an official certification or recognition from Microsoft for this software?
I have this software recognized by Microsoft to create a recognition wider and easier for potential customers to my business. Although my company offers, and sell this software for many years already, it seems to us that we have this software officially recognized by Microsoft in order to obtain the trust of potential customers.
So far, I discovered this inscription as an application developer is as close as one but y at - he developed a guide to get there?
Thanks for anyone who can guide me from here.
Thank you
Lee

Spooky or what! Earlier, while I was in the middle of writing a message on the Microsoft forums, I received a phone call on my landline to someone who says they were Microsoft Windows, and that they were calling on my computer (words to that effect), then the person (male) asked if I was on my computer. I hung up at this point! It could have a real call because I asked questions of the community over the last few days - or was it just a scam? If it was a scam, then, how very weird that I would get the call while I was actually on the Microsoft Web site invite!
And, even more strange that, in the course of my writing of this message, I would get a second phone call, Microsoft widows (a number beginning 00190...) aledgedly the person (female this time) telling me that my computer sends error messages, wondering if I am the owner of the computer and I'm on my computer now?
Is this a coincidence? or something different going on here? This is all very scary!

Phone calls from a person claiming to be from microsoft a SCAM?
Everyone has just received a phone call from someone with a foreign accent CLAIMING to be from Microsoft? and they said that I got the virus, ect on my computer and they wanted me to go on the computer and I guess = open a site that would PROBABLY destroy my computer... I told the man twice, that I had no problems and thanked him for the call and HUNG up...
I heard there is a SCAM where someone from another country wants to go to a certain web site current and there wher you download something that ruins your system. I'm not stupid and I quickly hung up.
(I have Dial-up internet so I couldn't talk on the phone and be online at the same time..) ... When I'm out here = I dial * 69 and see if I get a phone number... at this JERK. and if anyone is interested I'll let you know what is this number.

Edit: a post later
I did a * 69 as the number is unknown... as expected... I thought it was a SCAM and immediately hung up on him... and gave him no information or access to my computer.

Received a phone call claiming to be from Microsoft
Original title: phone scam?
I received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. He said that one of my computers was not related to obtaining updates and I had to fix it. He said that does not connect would cause my computer down.
I did not trust the person at all, it provided no evidence that he was from Microsoft when asked and he kept trying to get me out on my computer for him.Actually one of my computers has been freezing / crashing a lot but I just assumed it was because it is now old enough for a laptop. Is everything "that connects only not updates, causing accidents" actually a thing? Or I was right not to trust this person?

Phone call from Microsoft system claiming suffered a virus attack.
original title: friend or foe?
I just put the phone of a female with an Indian accent who says she is from Microsoft and called to tell me there are viruses in the back of my system that should remove because they cause problems with Microsoft Server? Or something along that line. She was very convincing. Asked me to go to the event viewer, and there is a long list of errors and warnings. She said she'd help me eliminate those events brewed. I had concerning Web Site page asking me to download a software to "share the computer" when I realized that if I download this and they are not what they say there are, they could access my computer. Big voice in my head told me not to download and I said female operator that I was not willing to do this because I don't know if she is who she says she is and contacted Microsoft myself. She said (do crosser per minute) she's trying to help me and if I do not eliminate the problem that it would remove Microsoft from my system immediately and which will remove all the icons and I would not be able to access Microsoft on my computer ever again. After repeating again once I will contact Microsoft myself so I know that I am speaking to a real fair operator repeated herself and his threats. I just hung up. I felt quite upset and confused. I'm not computer savi but know that there is no disadvantages. I hope that I stopped just in time before they could access anything whatsoever. Didn't upload the software, that they asked me. I'll be ok? Would really appreciate a response. Thank you
Scam. You did well by hanging up and as long as you do not download anything whatsoever, everything should be good.
