7 Pro VM fusion for VM network communication problems

I have a strange problem that I can't understand. My host system is a Macbook Pro with OSx 10.9.4. I have two machines 2012R2 comment server.

Scenario 1: The two VMS are defined to use bridged network, both get good IP from my router and able to reach internet, etc. I can ping other physical computers on the network. It is cannot ping each other.

Scenario 2: Two VMS are defined to use the host network only, both get IP on the same subnet and appropriate. The question is not one can ping each other.

Scenario 3: Virtual machines are set to use NAT, both get appropriate IP and on the same subnet, both can access the internet. Neither one can ping each other.

Basically, comments of host communication works very well with any network set up, but guest to guest does not. I tried to restart my Mac and reinstall Fusion 7 several times, no luck,

Any suggestions where to look next? Thank you!

Check if the ICMP traffic is allowed between the two guests, because the default configuration of Windows Server R2 2012 is to deny.

You can easily make a test only to disable the Windows Firewall on both virtual machines.

    Maybe this can help.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • 7 pro fusion custom private network

I have two virtual machines running molten Pro 7 on my mac.

They are networked via a custom private network.

Two virtual machines have no trouble to communicate with each other.

    Custom network settings are:

-allow VMs to connect to external network is DISABLED

-join this network the mac host is running

-provide addresses via DHCP is enabled

    -IP - 10.0.1.0 subnet

    -subnet mask = 255.255.255.0

My problem is how the host mac can access virtual machines?

There is no virtual network adapters on the mac, only the physical cards.

    Am I missing something?

I expect the host mac to have a virtual NETWORK adapter with an IP address from the range 10.0.1.xxx.

Or am I misunderstand how the host and the virtual machines connect to a private network?

I don't want the virtual machines to have internet access, but I don't want the mac host to have access to the internet.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

Is 10.0.1.0/255.255.255.0 the address/subnet mask correct for the network attached to your card Ethernet Thunderbolt?  If so, you cannot use the same range of network for vmnet2, because to do so it would be impossible for the host to determine if packets should be directed to en4 or vmnet2.

    See you soon,.

  • How to set preferences for the network folder in VMWare Fusion

I use VMWare Fusion to run a virtual PC on my Mac which I use QuickBooks to MUCH for my business. I'm trying to get the Writer of Intuit, a complementary product to work, QuickBooks statement but there need me to change the security settings on the "network drive" my files are on. Here's what he said I should do:

"If you choose a network folder for a default save location, the system

administrator must make some specific changes on the network and address

some questions of local security. To open the QMD files over a network, the

administrator must grant full trust to any executable code or to

all Microsoft Office documents in the folder where the file qsm

stored. Either the type of access requires a change in the code access

security strategy for .NET framework on the computer. The

administrator must ensure that these changes are compatible with any

other local security policies. For more information, see Networking SIE

    and multiple users. »

Help! How can I do this?

    Thank you

    Dawn

I don't use QuickBooks but Google search for EIS networking and multiple users hit Albums is support QuickBooks - statement of Intuit writer (SIE) network and multi-user functionality and he said: 'because we do not recommend this, the files must be local when you work with them. It is necessary to copy the file IF you want to work with on your local disk, and when the finished work with the file, copy it to the server. "so this means to copy the file in the folder shared VMware on the Windows filesystem, as an example the office that you use also the feature and then mirrored folders when it copy in the shared folder of VMware.

If you don't want to do that, then it seems that the major changes that need to be taken are on the side of Windows and not really a matter of VMware Fusion in itself however in the perspective of VMware Fusion, VMware shared folder should be set to read & write and is the only permissions that VMware Fusion has no control on in this regard.  Another aspect of the permissions would be on OS X and the permissions on the folder as a shared folder on VMware normally, only the owner has read & write permissions and other default permissions for reading only.  You may also need to change the permissions to read & write however what I read after looking at a few other answers the main objective research to resolve that matter Windows itself using the .NET Framework Configuration tool.

So I really do not see this as a matter of VMware Fusion and see it in the totally as an issue security policy mainly on Windows, although the other mentioned permissions must be at least check and then only modified if necessary after that making the necessary changes on Windows is not sufficient even though as long as the folder shared VMware is set read/write & I think the rest this is totally of the Windows side.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 + scan if there is no configuration for the network folder

The printer is wireless to my router and I connect to a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable.  The computer is running Windows 7SP1 Home Premium 64.

During the original installation of the printer 3 days ago, I used the wizard set up 'scan to a network folder' a record 'scans public '.  He created the 'profile' correctly and worked well the first time I scanned (I scanned the 3 or 4 times with different tweaks to experiment).  However the next day it no longer worked error on the printer was, 'could not connect to \\Computername\Public scan. Check that the remote computer is on. "Obviously, the computer was on, some communication problems only happened from one day to the next day, he was sitting unattended.  Hmmmmm.  Note that the option "Scan to Computer" works very well, so communication is simply no "scan to network folder" option and I really want to scan to a network folder.

I went in a private "Scans" folder on my account and created a share as 'DadsScans', creating permissions and following all the tips I've come across so far.  Then I tried many times with the wizard to create a new configuration in the profile and all have failed and yes I found the network and turned on file sharing.  Also remember that it worked fine the first night?

I tried to enter the local path to the folder (C:\users\dad\My analysis) with a share name (DadsScans), but the error message after choosing the option "test and save" was, "error.  Your printer cannot connect to the server.  Press 'Back' to correct the address and the name of the server.  Setting is not saved. »

I then tried to enter the share name directly in the path of the network folder, like "\\computername\DadsScans", but the error was "error.  Your printer cannot connect to the server.  Press 'Back' to correct the address and the name of the server.  Make sure that network discovery and file sharing are turned on... "Note, I also tried,"\\computer Address\DadsScans IP"and got the same error.

Finally, I disabled my firewall and my anti-virus in real time and tried again and got the same error messages.

Once again, my network discovery and file sharing are on and it worked fine the first time I've used suggesting that everything was fine.  What happened during the night, so that the printer and computer sitting idle?  I've changed NOTHING!  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well well, after several hours of attempts to solve the problem, the 'light bulb went on!  The night after that I configured the "scan to network folder" option, we had some difficulties with our network so I reset our modem and DSL router.  Who cleaned the problems of network with devices.  It is apparently broke something with the communications between the scanner and the computer.  A simple re-start the computer tonight and wa - la, the original public scan I configure worked again and I could create new profiles of "scanning to '!

  • DHCP is not enabled for wireless network

    Hi all

I have problems with internet connection and a large part of the time, that Network Diagnostics says Windows "DHCP is not enabled for wireless network", then it solves a problem, but I lose the connection several times a day, and each time that do the same fix again.

I checked the Device Manager settings and DHCP is started and set to automatic, I also ran CMD > ipconfig/all and can paste the results if need be.

I use a VPN and never had any prior issued connection with it and it seems to be just as hard to connect if the VPN is enabled or disabled.

Also recently I got the "security defender" virus which has been deleted successfully, the next day of the day it has been deleted, all network cards have messed up, I uninstalled and reinstalled them but that didn't work so I restored my system and that seems to fix the problem, my computer does not seem to run as fast after the virus as before so I wonder if it has an impact on my current problem.

I use a Toshiba Satellite Pro 660D and Windows 7.

The PCI of Simple Communications controller is part of Intel AMT Management Engine Interface and is related to the networking on your computer.
