A script on this page slows down your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive.

I connect to Internet through LAN.  My printer is connected to my pc through USB.  I do not use of wireless.

I did not any changes to software or driver.

I read through many solutions in this forum and tried several.  I disabled my firewall and antivirus first.  None of them have worked. I tried the SCLiteFix_299026.exe, the missing persons files difficult.  Did not work.  When I try to uninstall the printer and reinstall, I can't do that either.  I get error 2503 and 2502.

I want to just my printer wizard to work and have been unable to find a solution.

Maybe not all of these steps were necessary, but here's what I did and it worked! :

    (1) open HP Support Assistant icon on desktop.  It is a white question mark in a blue circle.

    (2) HP Support Assistant should show all HP devices.  Find your printer and click on UPDATES.  (Mine had no updates pending, but I clicked on UPDATE anyway)

    3) click on Diagnostics and tools

    4) click on HP print and Scan doctor.  Select your printer and click NEXT

    (5) you will get DIFFICULTY PRINTING and SCANNING of DIFFICULTY.  I chose the DIFFICULTY of ANALYSIS

    (6) when he finished, a screen opens and says "If you still have problems with your product, here are a few options for additional support.   Physically, I removed the printer cable to the USB port and choose "UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL with the latest version of the software".  I wasn't expecting to work, but he did.

    (7) I rebooted.  When my pc came, I began to other programs or applications.  I have disabled the firewall software and anti-virus temporarily.

    (8) I have re-inserted cable printer to a USB port

    (9) I open the HP Envy 7640 installation disc and click with the right button on the file: E7640x64.msi.  I clicked on install

    (10) software installed without error.  I then went to my office, clicks on the icon HP ENVY 7640 series... and VOILA!  My Printer Wizard now works!

    (11) I turned on my firewall and anti-virus back and I'm IN business

Hope these instructions can help someone else.

  • Wireless printing error: "the printer is offline" appears when I try to print.

When I first you have the printer (Canon MX340) and set up I was able to print wirelessly, but I am now getting the message "printer is off-line" even if this isn't the case.  I got a new router installed after the failure of the original.  What I need to change anything on my notebook (parameters) as a result of changes in the router?

    Hi Ron_Rowen,

    1. is the printer connected to the network?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  • HP officejet 8600 wireless printing error

My HP officejet 8600 wireless 1 page prints at once.  Anything larger than a page and I got an error message.  Recently upgraded from WINDOWS 8 to 8.1 - no improvement.  Very frustrating! It would really appreciate advice...

    Hello dabadia,

I'm sorry to hear that your 8600 Officejet will print a single page at a time after your upgrade to 8.1 Win. I would like to help you and give you my best advice.

I recommend running HP Print and doctor to analyze first to find and fix common printing problems.

If this does not resolve the problem, I recommend then Uninstall the printer, restart your computer and reinstall the software using the Printer Wizard install for Windows.

Good luck, I hope this works for you!

Hello Moor_lady, if you are using Windows 7, you can try to reset your printer wireless.

Go to control panel of configuration, devices, and printer and in the menu bar above, select Add a printer in the lower option, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

There should be another window that shows all available printers to be added. See if your wireless network printer can be found. If so, select this option and continue the process.

  • Pavilion dv6-2150us: scanning wireless to the printer on my computer

    HP Photosmart B209 more Pinter a - m

I am able, with a usb connection to scan from the printer to my computer;  I want to scan wireless to the printer on my computer.

    Thank you

    Hello Mocha7 ;

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I read your post on the analysis of the problems with your HP Photosmart Plus B209 a - m and wanted to help.

I don't have the same printer model, but I do not have other HP printers, and the process is essentially the same.  When you install the full exercise for the printer software, it installs a shortcut on the desktop that allows you to scan to PC.  I did it with two different HP network printers and it works the same for both.

So, you need to check that you have installed the complete service for the printer software. The linked page is for Win7 software and the driver for your printer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Photosmart-Plus-All-in-One-Printer-series---B2/3777155/model/3777156

IF it shows no Windows 7 when you open it, click the Edit button and select Windows 7 from the pulldowns.

In addition, this link is to the page for your printer troubleshooting: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-Plus-All-in-One-Printer-series---B2/3777155/model/3777156/troubleshooting

Please note that there are two procedures, you should try to use: printing using doctor Scanand a communication or connection error ...  See if they are able to help you solve the problem of scanning.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless: Unable to print labels on my HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless color inkjet printer

    Hello Forum,

I don't want to appear redundant, however, I always have the same problem, cannot print on different media (for example. Labels, Matt / glossy papers, etc.) other than plain white paper. As I said in my original post (below), I tried different settings, different programs, etc., without any result. The printer does that pass through without printing media, leaving the error / blinking yellow light.

I believe that this printer is able to manage different media other than paper white just to 'stick '. Again, I ask your help to solve this problem. It is and has been, very frustrating trying to overcome this restriction of printing!

    Thank you all!

    (Original post)

I can't get my HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless inkjet color printer to print CD / DVD labels. I have tried various printer / paper options but the printer just feeds the media (in this case 'Fellows' brand matte CD 2-top) then spits it right back with result error amber light flashing.

Printing has a sensor that determines if the paper is loaded and feeding properly into the printer.  If you print on media that is colored or printed features we can confuse the sensor.

One thing to try - cut a strip of the sticky part of a post-it note maybe 1 "wide by 1/4".  Attach it to the top left of the sheet of labels on the side to be printed, the long side on the short side of the paper.  This will then put face down into the printer, with the band on the upper right of the tray paper.  After printing, you can remove it and reuse it for the next page.

  • Photosmart 6510 "Printer Error" and all lights flash

I have a 1.5 years, Photosmart 6510 B211a who works well. Now, all lights are flashing and or my USB connected PC (Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit), or my iPad or iPhone (OS 7) connected wireless will be printed.

When the printer is turned on it goes as usual, wireless and power light stay on and displays correctly (Apps, Snapfish, Photo, copy, Scan), I can print from all devices.

    Symptoms:

    1. in ~ 5 minutes, no noise, all LEDs (displays the screen "Please turn printer then turn it on again."

2 "(Printer Error is lit above screen, lights beside screen and power and wireless) starts to blink in unison"

    printer does not print

3, every 10 seconds, a very low "short moan" noise, like something is trying to move inside the printer

    4. when power is cycled it will again be print normally for about 5 minutes and then stop again with flashing lights.

    Have you tried the following.

    1. hard reset (more than once - fired power and USB)

    2. uninstalled and reinstalled software and drivers

For any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

    Possible solution

I had the same problem when I moved the printer to a new PC. To end, I decided to change the USB port to which the printer is connected to. well, it worked! Printer now work correctly for wired operation and wireless.

Not sure if I got a bad USB port or that the cable was not seated properly, or if the USB port had no authority to provide the connection to the printer.

Hope this helps someont with this problem.

  • Printer-b109n-z, windows XP "General printer error.

Printer-b109n-z, Windows XP reports "General printer error" for print USB and wireless.

Problem a few days with messages on paper without real inside jam jams. Turn off and unplug the unit (sometimes more than once) was the only solution.

Now, with that 'the General printer error' message, turn off and unplug the unit do not more help. Is there a solution for this problem?

In general, it is not that you can do to a "General printer error." This message indicates that there is more than one critical hardware error found inside the printer.

You have already taken proactive action to do the steps to solve this problem: Power cycling of the printer. If you power cycle the printer, to restore the inner workings and the error is still present, then you need to replace the printer.

Have you thought about contacting HP Technical Support and participating in the upgrade program?

  • HP 110 b printing error

I configured my printer 110 b and everything seems ok. Wireless printing reports no problem and the doctor HP program completes without any problem. My laptop seems to connect wireless ok and the printer works fine if I print a test page or reported fron the printer itself. Problem is when I try to print a document from my laptop to the printer nothing happens. The document appears in the queue to print when I click Printers in the Control Panel, but after a while is changes between 'printing' and ' print error I could connect via usb and printing but this denies the right to get a wireless printer? I am running Vista on a PC laptop Toshiba Satellite. I recently had to change the new cartridges and print head (which incidentally see the high especially empty?) Bet its a simple problem but buggng me a little. »

    Hi fjeanc,

I suggest you turn off your pc and your printer. Once they are both turns off, unplug the power cord from your wireless router.  Back to leave the router for 60 seconds and then plug it.

After the period of time for your router to start and start broadcasting suitable, I would recommend turning on/off your printer and your router.

If this does not resolve the issue, I would recommend to restore the default settings of the network of your printer in the network menu wireless.  Once it was restored, I would recommend reconnection to your network, using this paper: HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-one printer series (B110) - help setting up the printer with a wireless network connection.

I am also referring to the procedure described in these documents:

-HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-one printer series (B110) - the printer is not found during Wireless Network Installation.

-L' printer keeps Wi - Fi connection.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your efforts!

  • Windows 8 saying the printer, but still printing error

Good so I just got a new labtop (hp) with windows 8 and hp envy 4500 printers range, whenever I have print something (via wireless) on the labtop in the upper right corner, a popup will say print error (can't remember exactly what he said) but eitherway, it's saying that, but the printer prints. Why it keep popping up saying error or if it is but there is nothing wrong and it is printing. Not a huge problem but kind of boring, thanks, Sarah

    Hi TonyKnVA

I understand that the printer does not print several pages.

Here is a url to temporarily disable all the startup programs to see if one of them is causing problems.

    Disable any Antivirus software.

Try to print a document from multiple page of two different applications.

You must follow the same steps to reactivate all.

Let me know if that makes a difference.

  • 709, the default printer error

    Hello!

Windows 7 laptop Lenovo, Officejet 4500 connected by a LAN (not wireless) computer

Test-Page work, works of Scanner, printer installed and working.

Try to change the default printer to "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" to "HP508E0 (HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m)" using "Set as default printer" "Dvices and printer. Result: "operation could not be completed (error 0 x 00000709).» Double check the name of the printer and make sure that the printer is connected to the network. »

The name of the printer that I cannot influence. So I can't see what to check.

Printer prints, so I guess that the network connection is established.

Watch HP Solution Center drivers etc are up to date.

Windows troubleshooting utility suggests to set my default printer. But he also fails to do so without giving a reason.

How to set my default printer HP4500?

    Thanks, best regards

    Michael

    Gordon!

Thanks again for your efforts. Indeed, I managed to re - install printer drivers. And this time I had more luck, all three printers more XPS writer seems to work again. Unfortunately no change on the default printer, always RC = 0 x 709.

While waiting for the installation procedure, I was searching Microsoft knowledge base and found one interesting article: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/unable-to-setup-default-printer-error-message/2e14443e-a829-4400-b155-5b87494b03ce?msgId=ab4e7395-e094-4205-91c3-7dfb644711bb&page=2

Take care to proceed to the second page...

The procedure described in this document has worked in my case: for each defined user to logon Windows I had to change an entry in the Windows registry manually:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

Nota bene: first change the permissions for the key, and then change "Microsoft XPS Writer" to "HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m" in the value of the key field. All other parts of the field value has remained unchanged.

The change is effective immediately, the default printer is now my HP4500. Test was successful!

Well, I got the impression that this isn't a nuisance HP but a general limitation of Windows. From my experience, Linux and HPLIP seem much more convinient for the inexperienced user.

    See you soon

    Michael
