7770 HD video card

I've been all over this show you are looking for good gpu. I finally decided on the HD 7770. I don't know which. So many companies make and some several versions of the same. I have a studio xps 435 mt with the i7 920 and 8 GB of ram. My food fried on a year ago and I now have a corsair builder series cx500. So what is the best. I see Sapphire has 2 different ones and asus has a version 2 GB on new egg and theyre all nearby in the price. Any help would be appreciated.

HERE would be my 5 choices.  You will notice that the most expensive are overclocked, or may be a 2 GB version.  If you do not need 2 GB of ram, so don't spend the extra for it.  The Sapphire is number one AMD sell brand so it's a good choice. Brand is based on personal preference or past experiences.  The less so-called Sapphire $104 or $89 after MIR is the most popular.  You can still overclock these cards yourself very easily with the software that comes with them, so you don't really have to spend more for a factory overclockee map.  Some also have coolers that may work better as the Vapor-X, which is also overclocked, but it's up to you if you want to spend the extra money on these.  I do not see a double fan is necessary on a HD 7770 because I think they run pretty cool.

  • Video card double slot.

Hello, so I have a hp p7 1226 s and I wanted to install a ti gtx 650 or a radeon 7770. The poroblem is that they are both cards double slot. When I was last upgrade of the gpu in this Office I noticed that the second location may not reach easy to remove. I was wondering if the second location is removable, or if anyone could tell me how to remove the second cover of the location. I see it has an icon of a screwdriver on the back of it, but the problem is that I don't know where is the screw if it is on the second slot. I'm eagerly looking for information but nothing to really is as far as I can see on the internet, so I came here hoping that someone knew how to remove or if you can remove the second slot cover on the back. I really hope there is a way to remove it, otherwise it will be a big problem for me separator because I'll have to buy a new case so that I can hold a video card double slot for this pc.

    Hello

The leg split with the screwdriver on it requires a screwdriver to be inserted in a slot in and waved the screwdriver back.  Do it a few times and then move to another location on the baracket and repeat the process. Subsequently the support stands.

I find it interesting that adjacent the bracket with the slot PCI-E x 16 slot support seems to be a fixed location as something occupies the PCI-E x 1 slot internally.  Is this the case?  Sometimes the media raise just to the top and outside according to the PC.

  • 6 long beeps BIOS after video card install

Hello, I recently bought a HP ENVY h8 - 1437c, Windows 8, I replaced the (NVIDIA GeForce GT 620) with a (Sapphire HD 7770 1 GB GDDR5). I hooked the 6-pin power and made sure the card is seated properly multipule times.  On startup, I get 6 long beeps and the power light flashes. Then a few seconds later the power light lights up blue and the PC starts fine. The map seems to work very well as well. I played games on max settings without any problem, where, as before the GeForce card couldent do that. Around the web, I read that he might have something to do with the secure boot BIOS enabled, I disabled without change, even 6 long beep and then the PC starts fine. I guess my question is, is that although it beeps? It is at the origin of internal problems? The only things that I've done so far add video card software, secure boot disabled (using the old GeForce card to get into the BIOS) and reinstall the the new vid card/6pin power wire. Thanks for the help and let me know if you need more information.

    Hi Sarge1D,

Go back into the bios and UEFI Legacy mode. There could be a slight mismatch between the Sapphire video card and bios of HP.

    View your results.

As a side note: I suggested in a post earlier that HP do exactly as you have to allow video cards which have a difference of function vbios with the bios of the PC HP (beep 6 times as a warning, but leave the PC to boot).

  • A confirmed upgrades to the video card for XPS 8500?

I want to upgrade the video card in my XPS 8500 (currently a 7570). I searched around and literally impossible to find a simple confirmation of a card that suit and will work (not to mention that the other a Dell offers, 7770, I think that it is). I would really fall into a 6850 6870 or 7850 (in the order of less for the most favorite). I found lots of info on cards that work with the old 8300, XPS, which uses the same power supply as the 8500 according to me. However, I'm not sure if the limitations of the space are the same in the case of XPS 8500 compared to the 8300.

Would appreciate any info. Thank you!

I don't see why not.  I just installed a R9 Sapphire x 280 in my XPS8500, I have an OC of HD7850 Sapphire.   This card is crazy for a long time.

  • Update video card for Dell XPS 8300

    I'm looking for suggestions for a video card to replace the original NVIDIA GT420 DDR3 1 GB video card in my XPS 8300 running with Windows 7 64 bit.  The PSU is rated at 460 W (+ 12VA-18 a; + 12VB 16 A; + 12VC 8A; + 5V 25A; + 5V to the 2 0a; 3.3V 17A; and - 12V 0-3).  I would avoid upgrading the power supply if possible.

The original of the NVIDIA card is a PCI Express x 16 slot.  I don't know if it's PCI Express x 16 or PCI Express 2.0 x 16.  Someone knows for a desktop XPS 8300 bought July 2011.

    Thank you.

It is difficult to determine how quiet a card can be if you look on the comments of the people who bought the specific card you want, or you happen to find a professional opinion on this.   I find most of the double slot cards or cards with the biggest fans to shut up, so I don't think you need worry too much noise.   I have a Sapphire HD 6870 and it's very quiet.  I don't know the HD 7750 is fine for your application and games even if it will happen later.  With the game, you kind of match the video card with the monitor you own and resolution capabilities.  If you have a high screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 or more and you want to set this resolution, then you want a better video card.  After rebate, it may be that a difference of $20 between the 7750 HD and HD 7770 so keep that in mind also.

  • Confused about card video card

I am shopping for a XPS 8500 - and was confused because the specifications of the video card on the Dell site match the specifications for the same card - not brand and model I see elsewhere - the Dell card is better. I tried the Dell chat but only got more confused-, so I thought someone in the forum might be able to give me an idea.

    Example1

For the NVIDIA GeForce GT 640, Dell claimed that there the discrete GDDR5 memory but everything that I see that it has the amount said online discreet slower DDR3 memory

    Example 2

AMD Radeon HD 7770 - Dell says that is has 2 GB memory GDDR5 discrete and
everything I see on the internet says it has only 1 GB

Has anyone recently bought the 8500 XPS with a video card upgrade? And if so, which of these specifications is your card? I just think of any motive for Dell would offer the best record you could buy some thing idependently for the same make and model. I think it must be a mistake or the dell site.

You are so right.  You don't find these versions at retail.  The GT 640 DDR5 has much better overall than the DDR3 version specifications (i.e. If Dell does not change the map clock speeds) and there are 2GB versions very few HD 7770.  I do not change the clock speeds would be needed on the GT 640, however.  It really does not use a lot of power at all.  Obviously, $50 is a good buy on the GT 640.  You can get the HD 7770 for as little as $100 for the cost of $150 upgrade is not as good, even if it has 2 GB of memory.

  • 435MT hd 4850 to hd7770 changing video card is it possible

I own a Dell 435MT with a HD4850 graphics card that is not a DX 11 card.  I want to play 3 Crysis which requires a card DX 11. Is it possible to install a graphics card on my computer HD7770, because there is very little space below my card hd 4850. Map of 7770 hd requires 2 slots, where the map of 4850 takes only 1 slot.  There is an available connector below the 4850, but it is only 1/4 "below the slot to the bottom of the chassis if I put in a video card double slot.

Anyone put in a hd successfully 7770 in their 435mt, and if you did, did you have to change the power supply?  Are there problems of heat?

Fix.  You only have a PCI Express x 16 slot card and all the rest are x 1 slots.  It adapts.  It of just that, on this system, the PCIe x 16 for the video card is placed low on the motherboard you giving very little space between the video card and the merits of the case when using card double slot.  However, others have done it and it works fine.

  • Advice on upgrading the video card in Studio 540

I just picked up a used Studio 540 and was looking to upgrade the video card without having to buy a new power supply. I do a few games.  Anyone would be able to advise a good card that works in this machine? My budget is $ 150.  I was leaning towards a Sapphire Radeon 7750 brand or possibly a 7770 like this:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814202011

    The specifications are the following:

    Studio 540
Core 2 Quad Q9400 clocked at 2.6 GHz
    8 GB memory
    Hard drive 500 GB
    power SUPPLY 350 watt PSU
    1680 x 1050 resolution

    Thanks in advance.

You always have a pretty decent system with Quad CPU and 8 GB of memory.  I love the Sapphire of HD7770 you have connected.  As long as you have the PCIe 6-pin power cable on your 350w unit, you should be fine.  It's going to be the best that you can get without taking account of an upgrade of the power supply.  I say go ahead because the 7750 HD is not that much less and the 7770 HD will be best for the games.

  • Install the removed video card speaker

I have a graphic card Radeon 7770 installed in my system which is a former Vista but upgraded to the Op win7 system.  The first step in the installation of the graphics card was to remove the video driver (a built-in Nvidia driver).  I think this has also removed the audio driver because now the only audio selection is HDMI (6 ports) and the speakers do work not on the audio input jack.  I'm worried about the driver installation audio back as it can install a video driver that will conflict with the AMD video driver installed with the new card.  I tried to install a new device, but the port or the speakers are not recognized.  The speakers are working and power but no output and the system does not recognize that they are there.

There are several possible nVidia drivers and little concern the video card.  You have deleted the nForce chip set drivers nVidia, which can contain some sound card drivers.  No further details on the number of model for system / motherboard, your only option is to re - install the nVidia drivers.

  • XPS 420, video card update without changing the power supply

So I recently did some changes on my Dell XPS 420.  The processor is the same that had been originally purchased, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz, but I upgraded the RAM 6 GB and spin as a Windows 10 Insider Preview OS 64-bit on a partition with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on another partition.  I've also added a new 2 to HARD drive, a USB 3.0 PCI Express card and thinking about getting a 500 GB Samsung SSD EVO. Here's my question though, and it is a video card...

I want to upgrade the video card, but don't know much about them.  I don't want to touch the food, and I want to just install a new video card.  I do not play video games a large part at all, but I stream videos from my PC if it matters that I've seen people suggest GTX Nvidia as well as the Sapphire HD 7770 550Ti, but I've also seen some people said these cards require greater power than my machine so I am confused.  What is a good affordable video card that would be worth upgrading for me?

I appreciate any info that can be provided, thanks!

The TI 750 will not harm your diet or your portfolio. The R7 250 is $99 and the 750 TI is $ 139. It is in the middle between the really cheap and good performance.

  • Double video cards

I have the video card from AMD Radeon 7950 / 3GB with 3 monitors has 30' and two of 24.  Would I be able to add an another 7950 to help speed up the video rendering?  And not to add another monitor.  Or should I replace the video card for two cards video that would be equal to 3 GB?

Yes, you can add another video card, however, I think that the 7950 requires two power connections to THE and the MP has only two connections. You probably need to add another power supply

  • Bad video card - last ditch effort

    Hello

I'm 99% sure this is my video card that is causing this problem.

Started a few days ago the screen filled with red pixels randomly, it could get worse over the next few minutes, and then the computer was completely insensitive - had stopped the clock and the mouse does not work yet.  I was able to ssh from my laptop, but cannot open applications and reboot via ssh wouldn't work, had to hard - reboot.  After having let it sit for awhile, it seemed better, I was hoping it was a stroke of luck.  Just right tonight (a few days since the accident of 1), he began acting again... bad.  I tried to run the Apple Hardware Test, he could not even done that - she's blocked (at the forefront in the screenshot), the mouse still worked, but even after half an hour, neither the time nor progress bar update.

I have a NVIDIA Quadro graphics card, I'm not sure that is because apparently they only give information on the card itself.  I know that it was very expensive.  Tomorrow I'll try cleaning all the contacts on the map and the location of the motherboard.  Beyond that, all I can think to do is to buy a new video card.  Is it possible to fix a video card, or is it simply not feasible?  I can also try to put it in another location, to see if that solves (which would indicate that the problem is on the motherboard, rather than the map, but I doubt that will solve it).

I removed the video card all together, the system is not is more locked up (so far), I am able to use via my MacBook screen sharing, and everything seems good function... which pretty much confirms for me, it's the video card (or slot) that's the problem.

Does anyone have suggestions until I leave shell $500 on a new video card?  This expenditure could not have come at a worse time...

I don't think I need anything too serious for a video card, I use Final Cut Pro.  I installed also just Apple Motion (literally, one day before all this crap started to happen, it seems strange that it could be related, but the time is quite a coincidence), and I join with two dual-link DVI ports.  I'd be curious to know if anyone has recommendations what video card to buy.

Thanks in advance for any advice or thoughts.

  • iPhone screen 5 - replaced battery, black. Video card fried?

My husband iPhone 5 was not load so I replaced taxation port, which didn't work so I replaced the battery. It seems to have worked because when it is plugged in, the computer recognizes that it and he did the sound perception-, but the screen was completely black and by pressing the home screen can that Siri, so we thought that maybe the screen has been fried. I wanted to see if it was the screen that was bad, or if it was the mother board and we should just scrap it and get a new phone, so I swapped the screen with my phone. Now my screen does not work! Neither work. My screen is black but my phone still works, and I can't Siri by pressing the home screen. I guess it was because my husbands phone was always powered (but we couldn't tell) and it fried or something. I fry the video card on the motherboard? Is - something that can be fixed and if so, what parts do I need?

The iphone has no serviceable parts by the user. You have basically destroyed two phones for something which you ought to have apple do.

  • NVIDIA video card do not have FireFox, other browsers are ok.

I went from an ATI video card Nvidia GeForce GT620 card yesterday and now when I use Firefox, when I scroll or when the browser load or 'think', the speakers make a cracking noise when music plays. If I pause Windows Media Player or the Zune software and scroll I don't hear any sound but as soon as the music plays and then scroll, its all crackle-y.

The problem does not occur in Chrome or IE 11, only firefox I'm running Windows 7 32 bit.

I just discovered that scroll in Outlook also makes noise if its not just Mozilla FireFox.
