6 long beeps BIOS after video card install

Hello, I recently bought a HP ENVY h8 - 1437c, Windows 8, I replaced the (NVIDIA GeForce GT 620) with a (Sapphire HD 7770 1 GB GDDR5). I hooked the 6-pin power and made sure the card is seated properly multipule times.  On startup, I get 6 long beeps and the power light flashes. Then a few seconds later the power light lights up blue and the PC starts fine. The map seems to work very well as well. I played games on max settings without any problem, where, as before the GeForce card couldent do that. Around the web, I read that he might have something to do with the secure boot BIOS enabled, I disabled without change, even 6 long beep and then the PC starts fine. I guess my question is, is that although it beeps? It is at the origin of internal problems? The only things that I've done so far add video card software, secure boot disabled (using the old GeForce card to get into the BIOS) and reinstall the the new vid card/6pin power wire. Thanks for the help and let me know if you need more information.

Here is the link for my computer specs just in case.

Hi Sarge1D,

Go back into the bios and UEFI Legacy mode. There could be a slight mismatch between the Sapphire video card and bios of HP.

View your results.

As a side note: I suggested in a post earlier that HP do exactly as you have to allow video cards which have a difference of function vbios with the bios of the PC HP (beep 6 times as a warning, but leave the PC to boot).

I installed geforce gt220 and he has somehow disabled my sound. so I uninstalled and remove the card. I activated the onboard sound in the bios and did a reinstall of the drivers from the sound card with the updated realtek drivers. I don't always get no sound it is grayed in audio and audio devices in Control Panel. I even tried a new sound card and windows are but does not load the device drivers audio, high fidelity.  When I check in device mgr is installed and active and working very well.  How can I solve this problem. I have read all the faq you have and none of them worked.

    Hi tttd,

    · Have you installed service pack 3 installed on your computer?

Install the latest drivers from the sound card chipset and check the result.

As you have tried all the steps that might have solved the problem, I suggest you to install service pack 3 on your computer if you have not installed the same.

If you have already installed service pack then uninstall and reinstall service pack 3 that refreshes the corruption of a system file.

You can download service pack 3 from the following link:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=68C48DAD-BC34-40BE-8D85-6BB4F56F5110&displaylang=en

  • How can I determine the HP Pavilion Elite m9400f video card installed?

    Hi all

I work on a Pavilion Elite m9400f for a friend and would like to know how to determine the video card installed in order to get the correct drivers and configure properly. He "cannot" be the card that came with the machine...

Fred, here are the pages of the 'product details' for the computer.  In the Product Specifications section, that's what he said:

  • PC does not have two video cards installed

I recently bought a HP Compaq 6005 Pro Athlon II desktop, running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I like to use two monitors, so I bought a XFX Plus Edition video card to run my second monitor. Now my PC only sees the new video card. Read the specs for the PC, it gives "integrated graphics" as the description of graphics.

How to recognize the two cards? Or will it? Do I have to remove the graphic card that accompanies it and replace it with another card XFX or can I not do it because it's built? (Not sure what built-in means in this case.)

    Thank you!

    Hello:

I'm assuming that you intalled a PCI express card chart and not a PCI one.

Check your BIOS under Advanced options. Some models have a built-in video (enabled/disabled).

If the parameter is not gray, set to active, save it here you should be able to use your integrated video card and the video card.

If you do not have this setting, or it is grayed out, this means when you install a PCI Express (PCIe x 16) video card, integrated video is automatically disabled and cannot be used.

Run your two monitors two outputs of the XFX video card that you have installed (like out dvi and vga monitors, for example).

I did a few times before.

  • Pavilion a6530f: what video card installed works for Windows 10 and a 300W power supply?

I have a6530f a desktop Pavilion PC.  I am currently running Windows 7 and am interested in upgrading to Windows 10.  I get and error message when you try to install the W10.  "NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430".  I think I need to improve my video card.  Can what video card I install that will work for Windows 10 and is rated for the power supply 300W in my lap?  I'm not very techie.

Many of these inexpensive graphics cards for Newegg.com should work with Windows 10. Just watch for those who require a 300 watt power supply system or less.

Drivers for these cards may be on the page drivers GeForcefunds. Simply select the card in the drop-down list or use the "Auto-Detect".

  • question about H8-5134 video card driver

I bought this and is trying to figure out why the fps on the sims3 is low and someone said to check for new drivers.  the driver listed in the dxdiag is 8.17.0010.1140 as of 11/14/2012 is the amd radeon hd 7570 dedicated video card is not part of the motherboard.

It is one of the software on the hp site, but it said that its original driver if yes why is dated after the i have installed and the driver itself is higher, then it installed.  and also to be as amd vision has hp logo motor control I can't uninstall and instlal ati catelyst control I can?

And it is the normal procedure, but in the last months starting with HD 7xxx video cards, HP has been the installation of exclusive video cards, and not too many people know this change.

It is a matter of concern for gamers like you, who need the latest video drivers.

Some people come to remove these cards and installation details those who operate with the power supplies in the PC. Then they can use the latest drivers AMD directly from AMD as in the good old days.

To do this, a BIOS setting must be changed in order to circumvent beeps error video memory before starting upwards.

Not a big deal, but people do not know either.

Please refer to this post to the subject to change the BIOS setting if you ever decide to install a video card in retail.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6-2104ed: video card - GTX 750 problems

    Hello

Recently the video card that came with my desktop pc grilled (7570 Radeon), and I bought a new GTX750.

This because the suppliers suggested HP to the Netherlands wanted to charge me 360 euros for a video card replacement 3 years, which seems a bit silly because I can get a better one for only 100 euros.

Unfortunately, the new video card does not work with the current BIOS. My system BIOS is from 2012 (even if the time stamp in the page of drivers before the update said his starting in 2014). It seems that, like many other HP computers this bios does not support the full uefi videocard, I bought.

I see several options, but would like input on what way to go.

Is there an update of compatible bios for my system other than the one on the page of the driver (who says its from 2014, but in reality is 2012)

Otherwise, what video card would you propose that would work on my system?

    My bios version:

    BIOS version / Date FRIEND 7.16, 23/03/2012

My now broken (except the radeon card) complete system features

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c03280789

    Semi-resolu!

Although eachother dislikes the biosses from the video card and the desktop computer, you can still get around it by pressing alt + F10 when booting and wait about 30 seconds for 3 beeps. After that, it continues to the windows login screen.

Startup takes a little longer now, but the video card works great and has significantly improved the performance of the hour game

Assuming that HP doesn't bother to update the bios (since they do not have 2012, about a year after the release of the desktop computer), this seems the best solution other than choosing a lesser videocard not uefi

  • New video card conflict?

I just installed a Zotec GT240 video card in my pc m7650n. It is one of the few my 300w power supply will support so I don't want to give up on this to guickly.

The problem is when I install my realtek sound devices 'missing '. I hear through my USB headset, but nothing in my speakers and no option to change the output device. I'm not showing any conflict in Control Panel. Try re-installing the drivers realtek just puts me a message that "microsoft UAA HD drivers must be present", even if they are already installed.

If I pull back video card it comes down real easily so I wonder if the audio has covered somehow on the integrated graphical subsystem. I'm not a great player, but I would like to be able to occasionally run the sims 3.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

With the new video card installed, enter your bios menu (tap away at f1 or f10 when you start the PC - try f1 first).  Under the control of tab advanced which Onboard Audio is set to active.  If you need to make a change, press f10 and Yes to save the changes and see if that helped.

    Best wishes

  • Randomly uninstalled video card and now I'm having computer problems.

For some reason any yesterday, I came home after leaving my computer on, just realize that it crashed. I restarted my computer and found that, for some reason, my video card driver has been uninstalled. Driver Modem PCI has also been uninstalled, but I think that may have been uninstalled beforehand. So I downloaded my video driver from the website of the manufacturer of my computer again. but for some reason, one of the files in the installer has been altered. But I advanced and installed anyway, probably not a good decision, but I didn't want to wait another 5 minutes download chipset all over again. I couldn't have my Modem PCI drivers to install for some reason or another. However, the chipset driver (video card) installed and gave no error messages (even if WinRAR couldn't extract one of the files in the .rar to a reason any). Hey well yesterday and today again, my computer does not have one of my favorite games, Company of Heroes Online. I'm not sure of all the other games, I have not yet tried. It really pisses me. How can I fix? Here is a screenshot of the error message I get trying to run Company of Heroes Online, which has always worked for me in the past:

    http://I52.Tinypic.com/2ecjbsy.PNG

Usually, the drivers are not in a WinRAR file but a "Zip" file or an EXE file that is put in place the file.

Unexpected results on a PC can mean generally:

    (1) virus / Spyware attack - check your PC for a virus or a spyware NOW.

    (2) material begins to 'fail' - check the hard drive.  Disk hard now being 'cheap' consider buying a new.  You can then try to clone the drive to 'save' what you can.

  • I need a video card double for it what kind I can use. OS is XP 32 Bit.

d7900C; It is a Minitour convertible Hp. I have a card from Office Max, and the PC gave me 6 beeps. The user is eager to use two monitors and have a screen that is divided between the two.

    [number removed for privacy]

    Hello:

6 beeps is a video card error. I guess that the card is bad or not compatible.

Get a Radeon HD 6350 512 MB video card with the DMS-59 port.

This requires a video cable to split, which can operate 2 monitors out of the map.

Or you can get a Radeon HD 6570 1 GB video card and pass a DVI and a VGA cable up to two monitors on the ports.

  • long beeps after installing the video card

    Hello

    I recently bought a HP 500-223w.

I wanted to install a power supply a video card.

Here's the problem: everything works fine without the installed video card.

If I install the video card then at startup it gives me a series of long beeps.

I turned it off after the long fourth beep assuming they would UST go on and on.

The power supply is more than enough to power the video card.

The video card should not be bad, because I just moved it from another system. (system currently does not, bad mobo)

I was wondering what the infinite long beep on startup?

    Thanks and regards, TJames.

    Hello:

Product for your PC specifications indicate that it comes with Windows 8.1.

To install a video card no HP on PC shipped with Windows 8 or 8.1, you must change both settings of the BIOS before installing the card.

Please see this document for the BIOS to change settings...

Hello, I have a desktop H8-1284, and the video card went a few days ago. So I bought a video card Geforce GTX 650, and after installing the card and the computer starts, it hangs just at the start of the HP logo screen. So I put an old geforce 8800, and she starts without a problem. When I try the new card Geforce GTX 650, the same thing, just hangs at the splash screen.  I checked the bios and it doent seem to be something there that can help wouild. My diet is 460 w, and the new map needs of 400 w, any help will be greatly appreciated

    Hello

Most of the cards PCI-E 3.0 are retro-compatible with the PCI-E 2.0 slots.  However, in order to get the PCI-E version 3, you must use a processor Ivy Bridge.  Look at these specificationsfor a typical NVIDIA GTX 650.
