8.1 strange to win Red login screen

What happened after I removed a trogan, hack an Explorer and advertising software with windows defender. I now get a red login screen it looks like wingdings fonts. ???

Thank you for your help. The computer would not start in safe mode. HP sent me the recovery kit

and he fixed the laptop. I think it was mostly a windows problem that was caused when the next boy

door tried to help me by downloading windows 8.1 and it was a virus, parody, the Web site and

not a HP or Windows official site. The boy owes me a free additional yard work now and is not

touch my computer again.

  • Red screen to login screen

This question has been asked before, but it's not like he has an available answer and the thread was closed:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/Owners-Club/Alienware/f/3746/t/19464900.aspx

Just after passing through the boot process, and seconds after the windows logon screen when the blue background appears, my Alienware X 51 decides to change the screen to a bright red color.  As shown below:

At this point, Dell has replaced the motherboard and video card in the system.  For reference, it executes this graphics card: 1.5 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660.

Dell support team has determined that, after replacing the motherboard and graphics card, the next place to solve problems is the software package.  Rather than a real investigative work, they want just back me everything and reinstall windows 7 to see if it is the cause of the problem.  They do not know what is actually wrong, they used the term "will probably fix" and I don't want to lose several nights trying everything back up, reinstall windows and then restore all my files if there is a simpler solution run.

Has anyone else had this problem before?  Is there a driver, piece of software, etc., that is causing the problem?  I use the DVI connection for both monitors.  This problem seems not to occur when we run in Mode safe mode with networking.

Thank you for your help and your time.

I was able to find a solution to the problem.  Instead of looking for the forums dell or relying on their technical support team for help, I searched on Google and Nvidia environment for similar problems with my specific graphics without X 51 in the search field.  It turns out a number of useful results.

I started in safe mode and uninstalled all drivers related to the graphics card from Nvidia.

Dell support website has v 311.06 (update: 21/03/14) available on their website.  Instead of download and reinstall this driver (as the support team has done 10 x in a row... shocking, it didn't still work after the 10th reinstalled...  Also either incidentally, my USB 3.0 ports stopped working the previous week, which was also their solution up to 76 minutes after the call, they admitted that the ports were not working) and I went to the Web of Nvidia site directly and grabbed the latest version of their software.  Available here:

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/77224/en-us

It is the 340.52 version and was released in July 2014.

After you install this version on 8/8, I did have a problem with the computer since.  It was not a red death screen since the driver reinstall and I am convinced that the problem has been resolved.

It does require me to all my backup files.  Or find the discs re - install and serial #s for MS office, etc.  It was resolved after an hour or two of help forums to search on google and nvidia.  If the initial Dell support analyst had tried that instead of wasting 2 hours of my time on the call, 3/4 hours of my time waiting at home for 2 visits in person of their 3rd tech team left, it would have saved us all hours and he would have spared their money long term.

Please reach out if someone else has the same problem and I'm happy to walk you through the solution currently working for my X 51.

    Thank you

  • Message starts with the iMessage login screen

Mac OS X Sierra Message app starts with an iMessage login screen, however; When I get my good Apple ID and password, nothing happens.  When I enter incorrect information, it appears with a red warning text indicating that Apple & /or password ID are incorrect.

How to past the login screen?  My information is correct, but the program will not always be in front of the login screen

    Hello

He was working before you upgrade to the Sierra?

No chance that your logic/mother Board has been replaced?

This keeps the serial number of the Mac and is used to provide a specific connection of the device.

Go to the Menu icon Apple and select about this Mac.

Tab preview is to display the serial number.  (if this is not you must go to an Apple Store or the repairer so it will be again).

Go to the menu icon Apple once again, but hold down the ALT key and select System Info.

Open Hardware > network > locations

The list on the right list en0 for one of your connections?

On the old Mac en0 was Ethernet and Wi - Fi and Thunderbolt on newer Gets the following figures.

There are some Mac without Ethernet en0 so can Wifi

You can also look in Applications/Utilities and open the network utility and use the Info tab and fall down.

Is missing the en0 then you need to remove some system side .plists and restart the Mac.

I saw some information to remove all these

Note the path bar across the bottom.

Simply remove the Airport (WiFi), one maybe.

If they did not work, then after that the appeal of Apple process is lengthy to explain.

(you can get blocked by devices and this requires the server reset on your Apple ID on a single device)

  • Login screen - DNS issue

We seem to be affected by intermittent empty login screen on my company's website, but only for the microsoft login page, the login page Skype charges well.

Loading Skype upward, you get this screen:

And users choose 'Microsoft account '. They should then see this screen:

    Instead they get this:

Inside, there is a warning message stating the following:

"This page contains errors. Go back'

The site uses OpenDNS to filter queries DNS for computers and politics is quite locked.

    On any affected PC, if:

    -Close Skype

-Run the DNS settings to something like 8.8.8.8 (google DNS server)

    -Load Skype

The login screen (image 2) loads normally. The user can connect and I can then folding the DNS settings on the OpenDNS server and there is no other problem.

Which means that Skype is trying to communicate with a Microsoft/Skype server somewhere on the interent and because it is not on my whitelist OpenDNS it gets blocked and it fails as in Fig. 3.

My question can someone tell me what is the server? I went through the OpenDNS logs and the white list a bunch of stuff from microsoft and other things related to the certificates, but still no luck.

Evetually I took the suggestion of Techfreak and sniffed packets with wireshark. Was annoyed to discover that the root cause of the problem is strangely named sb.symcd.com.

Some quick Google-fu led me to a page that said that this area should be on a whitelist for Lync facilities. Hmm.

Why microsoft couldn't use Server intuitive/descriptive names more is a mystery. In any case, I have whitelisted *. symcd.com and of the limited testing it seems to be resolved.

  • Brand-new Satellite L300 stuck on the login screen

    Hi all
I'm new and a little bit of a technophobe - hope you can help.

We have bought a new laptop a few weeks ago and set it all. Seemed easy enough - is installed after turning on, logged in with the password network and we were away.

We have 2 connections A and B put in place in this regard. My partner turned on and it came with the connection form A and B with 2 icons - he went to a click sound and he did not. No mouse is attached, we use the keyboard mouse. Tried rebooting with the button, but it's the same thing. I tried again and it has gone through a process and offered safe mode and normal mode, I tried separately on both and she returned to the login screen and click has failed.

It is now stuck on the battery mode, because we can't get past this screen and it to run properly. Any suggestions?

    Thank you very much.

Would it be possible that you have disabled the touchpad accidentally and therefore you couldn't t access the Win Vista ;)?
Please note that you can enable and disable the touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination

  • 2 Lenovo's Yoga, stuck on the login screen. Need help!

My Lenovo Yoga 2 has some very weird problems that prevents me from using it. Here is a list of issues I noticed:

-When I hover over the power icon, there is no option to restart, shutdown or standby. This only happens randomly.

-I don't have internet connection. A red 'x' is on the connection icon. I'm not able to put it in airplane mode either.

-Unable to connect. When I entered my password/PIN, it will load, then restarts. But when I receive, there is a black screen and I get an error and it restarts.

-When left on the login screen, it will reboot itself

-L' initial loading screen is longer than usual.

The last thing I remember before this happened was rip the CD using an external optical drive. I'm not tech savvy so I'll probably not much terminology on computers, but I'll do some research if necessary.

I see. Try the following steps to perform a reset. Let me know how it goes.

    1. Turn off your computer
    2. Next to the power button (on the right side), there are little, a small button. Press this button. This button is called the OKR (a key recovery) button.
    3. At the start, you will be asked about 4 option. Select the option that says recovery (or a key recovery).
    4. Follow the prompts on the screen.

  • After that windows update computer now hangs at the login screen, no error message, just restarts.

I have tried safe mode, does the same thing; tried to use the Windows Vista disc to do a repair, no luck; also I tried restoring the system (from disk), no restore points however.
The problem appeared after restarting the computer during the night.  The problem began to be able to connect, but the screen would go blank with just a pointer (KSOD).  Has tried some of the suggestions on this problem, including by eliminating sys newspapers, which did not work as well as reinstalling the video driver, with no luck.  Finally tried a system restore, returned 1 week (before the windows updates).  Now, the computer becomes just the login screen sits there for about 5-10 seconds then restarts immediately.

I just had this happen to my laptop that has no external references. This is a new (September 09) ASUS K50ij with Vista 64-bit installed. I bought the Win 7 OS to replace, but have been waiting for the time to play with it... Last Monday, the update itself and invited to restart so I have done what I was busy with and enabled him to restart which is the only thing to do now... restart, the blue screen for a nano-second, then restart... etc. Same problem with safe mode and safe mode with networking, or with the box... anyway, someone very smart recommended that I use another computer (Fortunately, I have several) to download free Imgburn (which works easily), then get Ubuntu (Linux Operating System free download) burn image from the Ubuntu disc, put the disc in the drive of the computer crashed (there is a little hole next to the button you) can insert in a safety pin to release the door when the power is off) change the setting in the BIOS of the computer has crashed by restarting and pressing F2 until you get the menu BIOS... go to the start menu and choose Start from the CD, and then press ENTER. When the computer starts, it will see the drive and go to a menu to select the language, then next choice is "try Ubuntu without making any changes to the computer. It will boot the disk and allow you to view and copy ALL your files off the power on an external drive, which is what I did... including my Outlook .pst files that include all my saved emails my calendar and contacts, etc! WOOHOO! has got all my photos, documents, etc. The only thing that I didn't know how to get is my favorite... How to enter in the browser from another computer.

If after this, an hour or more than make sure I got all the important data... I decided to see if anyone had a solution to this problem just fixing... I probably won't update again because Microsoft sends them and offers no solutions to the problems they have caused and nobody pays me for all the time I've lost get to get my stuff back and also to solve the problem they have caused. A update on my other laptop Win 7 zapped my outlook program and even reinstall it didn't solve this problem, even more work to do there, but looking in the files using Ubuntu's File Explorer, I found a hidden file that is used to repair the files .pst outlook called scanpst, or something that nearby.

In any case, if someone has a solution to uninstall the recent update or to determine how it corrupted my user profile (which is the general consensus) please let me know.
Thank you and good luck to you!

  • Login screen - user account icons aren't select-able

After a cool start, you are presented a page with icons representing all user accounts.  As a general rule, you "select" your account you are presented either on your desktop or if your account is protected by word a middle screen will appear asking for your password, and then you go to your office.

In my case, the page describing the user accounts seems normal, but the 'focus' selection is fixed on the first account on the left and the mouse is not able to select another account, nor popup RMB all the menus that should be available for power, etc., to the bottom right and left of the screen.  The "highlight" mouse other icons, but will not change the focus to select what is worthless.

Address this problem some strange connection default 'new' user (i.e. the first icon in user account on the far left that the select update is fixed) and then "change user" to your main account.  Oddly enough, the page you are presented with when you 'switch user' seems to be the same as the login screen original but is fully functional (i.e. Select-able icons), so no problem to switch to another user.

Q: seems to be one of the initialization files is corrupted somehow.  If so, what is it and how to replace.

The AV is up to date and was recently performed as well as MS updates.  I scanned for files corrupt but found nothing.  The event log shows nothing abnormal but since I don't know exactly what I'm looking for it may have a few hidden clues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Doug

    Hello

    Thank you for your reply,

I suggest that you perform a complete system scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner to eliminate any problem related to the virus/malware.

    Microsoft safety scanner http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

We answer back after preforming step. We would be happy to help you further on the issue.

  • I want to see the login screen, not the Welcome screen

I have win 7 pro computers of a domain.  Suddenly, when I connect to tp computers laboratory after Ctrl/alt/del, I come to a screen with the last 'user' and an another icon named "other users".  This means that I have to select "other user", then I get to the screen that I feel like that was last entered user name, with the cursor in the password to enter the area.  He has also "change user" in the center of the page.  This is the page I want all machines to open up after Ctrl/alt/delete.  I tried various suggested 'fixed' and nothing solves my problem.  Why this extra screen is presented on some of my computers?

To clarify: I think I understand, this is the "home screen" provides a list of accounts on the computer. To connect you with one of these accounts, I click on the account and type a password (if necessary).   The "logon screen" requires users to type a login name, and not by selecting an account from a list of available accounts.  After Ctrl/alt/delete, I want to see the 'connection' screen.

I tried this fix (on the strategy) and it did not work.

You can configure whether the Welcome screen is used by the parameter always use classic logon in the group policy. To do this, you have the following options:

    • Enable the policy to use the login screen rather than on the Welcome screen.
    • Clear strategy to use the Welcome screen.
    • Use not configured to use the default configuration (the Welcome screen).

Because of these computers to open up to the Welcome screen, need me more time to open the lab.  Help, please!

  • customize the login screen

I would like to customize the login screen of LCM with my logo and modify the borders of default blue of another color. How can I do this?

I also want to change the blue border by default in the main window after you connect also. I worked on how to do this with custom CSS, but I don't see where, on the file system, I can download my images customized for after their SEO in CSS

Once again with something 'not so easy' do or describe...

    • Open your vCenter Orchestrator Client and connect with admin rights

    • Select Webviews in the left pane

    • Select VMware Lifecycle Manager - right click and choose not to publish

    • Click the items tab in the right pane (it will take a while to load up)

    • Click on the "Export to link directory.

    • When you are prompted, export to a folder named c:\lifecycle (just keep simple here... you will first need to create the folder)

    • Then, copy your logo to c:\lifecycle\images file

    • Then, edit the file c:\lifecycle\css\login.css

    • You need to add the following lines: (replace with the HEX color appropriate code that you want to use. For example, RED is FF0000. Also, replace YOURLOGO.jpg with your file name real logo that you copied in the pictures folder.)

/ * Insert these lines at the bottom of your login.css file * /.

/ * Change the upper part of the box color * /.

    body.loginPage #sectionHeader

/ * Change the colors of line left/right and add the logo * /.

    body.loginPage #main

/ * Change the color of the box background * /.

    body.loginPage #footer

    / * End of the login.css changes * /.

Now, he must submit these changes to your LCM server:

    • Return to your vCenter Orchestrator Client (either still on the same screen as the directory link to earlier export)

    • Click the "import directory.

    • Specify "C:\lifecycle" as the file name and click Import

    • At the confirmation prompt, click Import

    • At the bottom of the window, click on save and close

    • Now publish the webview (green play in the toolbar button OR click with the right button on the Web view and select publish)

If everything was done correctly, you should see something a little more customized in appearance when you visit http://yourLCMServer:8280/vmo/lifecycle and invited for the connection.

  • Login screen hangs

Hello.  Since I upgraded to macOS Sierra, my early 2015 MacBook Pro freezes on the login screen.  I tried clean install, reinstall, SMC reset, reset the NVRAM.  Nothing seems to help.  I can finally drag the cursor to the button stop, but it takes a while.  Once it starts up again it is fine... until I have restart or stop again.  Any thoughts?  Thank you.

Try to start in safe mode (hold down the key of the SIFT when starting) once or twice. The login screen freezes?

  • BONES of Sierra crashing to the LOGIN screen while using the service of mission control.

After Sierra OS upgrade my MacBook Pro hangs on login screen every time I have used the function of mission control.

    Hey hernj103,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. I can see your post after upgrading to Mac OS Sierra that reboots your MacBook Pro, if you use mission control. There could be a number of reasons that could cause this and I want to help you have a reliable working Mac, so I'm here to help! If you have not already done, you want to make sure that you have a backup of your data and you can use the option in the link below:

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac

Once your data is secure, you'll want to test this function in Mode safe mode and see if you get the same effect. Safe mode (sometimes called secure boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents certain software from loading automatically or opening. Also, it verifies your startup disk and trying to fix problems if necessary directory and delete font caches, hiding the kernel and other files of the system cache. The following link can show you how to start your MacBook Pro in Mode safe.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If you continue to have problems after the safe boot mode, let know us and we can continue to solve the problems there.

    See you soon.
