  After doing some R & D that I matched d question... .He was essentially due to my Simulator has not been configured for BES / MDS... so I downloaded 9630 Sprint Simulator and it struck my request & it started working...

  Usually in normal JDE, simulators that are provided by default, they are set to /MDS BES...

  Thus, for the new simulators that are not provided with to set an option by clicking on the check box start SDM-CS with the Simulator in Edit-> preferences from the JDE

  The MDS - CS Simulator cannot create a directory "logs".  Verify that the appropriate permissions are set on the installation directory.

  This could also be a cause of UAC.  You can try turning off as well.

  Edit: Follow-up "understandable" simon's note.

  There is a workaround to use a newer version than the official facilities files: use the Simulator MDS of the JDE or Eclipse installation and copy them to any machine he needs.

  The final answer seems to be not related to the MDS version. In the BB Simulator, please make sure that the network is the "1xev".

  Then it works fine.

• BlackBerry JDE fails to start after the installation of Simulator Tour 9630

  I use JDE 4.7.0 on Win XP + a bunch of simulators.

  After the Tour 9630 Simulator (v 4.7.1.40), I installed the JDE does not start.

  I tried to run ide.bat via command line - it does not give error messages.

  I tried to reinstall my JDE (with deletion of the dir of installation in order to remove settings from JDE is) - it did not help.

  I am now able to run the JDE again after that I uninstalled the Tour 9630 Simulator. But I really need this Simulator because I develop an application for the round.

  What could be the problem?

  Thanks to Marc post here the solution I managed to solve this problem.

  The solution is:

  1. install the Simulator
  2. Make a copy of its installation directory
  3. uninstall the Simulator
  4. manually create a new Simulator in JDE by using the copy of the directory

  IAM trying to run my application using JDE 4.7 and 9630 simulator (BB-Tower Simulator), it gives me JVM error 545 incompatible file system...

  After looking on Google for a while, I discovered a solution of running clean.bat... .but I have not found any clean.bat Simulator installed directory, so I copied it from the repertoire of Simulator JDE 4.7... even if the error persists...

  Kindly help me as soon as possible... she needs I need to remove & reinstall this Simulator or I should run my application using JDE 5.0...

  Any kind of help would be appreciated...

  Try to delete the files from the directory of Simulator *.dmp.

  If this does not work, delete all your cod and related files in the directory also (and *.dmp file) and try to raise the Simulator without your applications.  Assuming this works, add back in your applications.

  When you compile your application to test it on the Simulator will compile it as an x 86 application. During tests on a real PlayBook or exporting a Release version will be built for ARM7. If the application is running the simulator then recompiled for a real device and signed, then expect to run correctly on the real device.

  When you use the BlackBerry 9630 Smartphone Simulator, you may need to change its default connection settings in order to provide network connectivity.  The reason why because the 9630, being a world phone, supports different types of network technologies and a configuration change may be needed to make it work with the MDS Simulator - CS.

  1. from the home screen, click the 'manage connections '.

  2. a popup window opens, select "Mobile Network Options '.

  3. in the options screen, ensure that the following field values are defined:

  • Data services = 'On '.
  • Network selection mode = "auto".
  • Technology network = "1XEV".

  4. close the 'mobile network options' screen to save the changes

  9630 smartphone Simulator should now have network connectivity.
