A node not tranport archivelog on standby

We have 3 node RAC of Oracle 11.2.0.1 on Redhat 5.2. The eve of physics is a single instance 11.2.0.1 on redhat 5.2 too.

After I duplicate primary to the physics of the day before, I saw half dozen archivelog carried forward and applied. After that, the primary node 1 (1-wire) stopped transport redo, while that thread 2 and 3 continue Reduction again. But no recovery applied afterword.

Check alert_log on standby and see
Error 1017 received logging on to the standby
------------------------------------------------------------
Check that the primary and standby are using a password file
and remote_login_passwordfile is set to SHARED or EXCLUSIVE,
and that the SYS password is same in the password files.
      returning error ORA-16191
------------------------------------------------------------
FAL[client, ARC1]: Error 16191 connecting to cchprd1 for fetching gap sequence
Errors in file /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/cchdr/cchdr/trace/cchdr_arc1_3030.trc:

Check the password files and to find this password file for node one differs from the other two nodes. Fact file password of node 1, a copy of node 2. But still not see node 1 again after "ALTER SYSTEM ARCHIVE LOG CURRENT;"

I have to restart the primary? or I have to redo the double?

Dear user13148231,

No, you don't have to go back on the whole duplication process. Change the user SYS and set identical passwords between them and recreating the password files. Copy the archivelogs anywhere on the sites concerned and save them in the database backup. MRP will apply to those recorded later.

Kind regards.

  • How to use the OEM grid control to find databases, not in archivelog mode?

    Hello

    Another way to achieve the goal is to push the extended parameters (SELECT LOG_MODE FROM V$ DATABASE) on each DB and monitor the values they return to the repository. '' Waiting, sone entries are with dest_id = 2, they are really initially generated from standby ''?

    Big question. I do not know. Checked: oracle note 241374.1 for details on dest_id without success.

    I think it's that dest_id indicates whether the destination is local or remote. If, if it is true that the answer is no.

    This makes sense since the database is read_only mode, why it would generate archive here?

    If you still have all the archive back to 12-15 then there is still hope.

    However, 12-15 is a long time ago. I consider at least rebuild the day before.

    241374.1 is worth a visit because it can provide additional information for the future.

    G ' Day all,

    I am constantly given the State of synchronization and replication for my secondary admin/Monitor node in the head node as a node unreachable. The secondary has always think it is offline. When I run the tool diag ISE connectivity tests, that I can ping successfully the devices together using both hostname and ip and the nslookup works also very well between the two nodes. Ping and nslookups also work different networks within the environment. The two nodes are in the same vlan on a pair of vss 6500, but on different switches of the pair. I am new to ISE, so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you all.

    Hi James,

    Node added to distrubited deployment but Sync never ends.

    Normally, this means that the TCP 1521 port is blocked between the nodes or the internal database user password was not set to the same value between the primary and the secondary. (I know you have already completed this step)  The user database can be reset on the CLI with the following command: reset-passwd ise internal-database - application user.

    Change the internal database user password restart the ISE services.

    Additionally, make sure that the secondary node is accessible on the following ports in both directions:

    -TCP 443 (SSL/SOAP)

    TCP - 1521 (database listener)

    -ICMP (Heartbeat)

    If you use the web console EAS, then make sure you are using a supported Java version, if it is supported, and then try adding the server essbase with the hostname instead of cluster.

  • Restore cumulative incremental level 0 and cumulative incremental level 1 backups on a new host (not available Archivelogs)

    Hi guys, I have a disaster to manage.

    Due to a shooting incident, I physically lost my Oracle database server. Fortunately, I was doing extra effective Cumulative weekly 0 my databases backups and daily incremental cumulative level 1 of my databases on an external hard drive.

    Now, I need to restore these backups on a new physical server. I don't have backups of the archivelogs.

    Data loss can be allowed in this scenario. I have backup of the control file and the spfile (controlfile autobackup is configured).

    How can I restore and recover my databases on the new server (with a different directory structure)? I do not use a recovery catalog.

    Thanks in advance

    @Hemant K Collette

    I have good news! I was able to raestore and recover my database with almost no loss of data. I have a ws, helped by a DBA called J.P. Boileau. I did not use the Oracle Support solution because it was too complicated to deploy. That's what I did:

    1. I arrived the last RCS of my backup cumulative incremental level 1 thanks to a list backup command.

    2. then, I used the SNA to make a series until the SNA...

    3. Finally, I did a restore of database; recover the database; and alter database open resetlogs.

    It's the detailed output of a simulation testing of this solution:

    ORACLE_HOME = [/ home/oracle]? /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1

  • How a node not in FX-Application-Thread snapshot?

    Hello

    is it possible to take a snapshot of a node if the method is called outside the Thread of Application-FX?

    If I try something like...
      Task task = new Task<Void>() {
                 @Override
                 public Void call() {
                 .
                 .
                 WritableImage nodeImage = wpImage_XXL.snapshot(paramsSnapShot, null);
                 .
                 .

             }

            };
    I got this Exception.

    java.lang.IllegalStateException: not on the application thread FX; currentThread

    No workaround solution, thanks in advance

    Thank you for clarifying this issue... using Platform.runLater (.) I solved this problem...

  • Laptop is not access grub after standby extended drive

    Hi all

    I suspect a hardware problem, but I'm not 100% sure on this subject. The issue has already appeared a few days ago, but I managed to solve it by pressing F8 at the beginning upward. Now F8 does not work and I think that F8 was not at all involved, and it's only lucky shot.

    It seems the startup just stops before, or so, access to grub2. I am able to stop and restart, but there is no startup options. The mini laptop is a toshiba satellite t110-107 and normally start options appear at the bottom, F2 to access bios and F12 as a shortcut for selecting the boot device (if I remember correctly). But sometimes, they do not appear at all, I think that's when I put hibernate instead of shut down the system, but to be honest, I never paid attention to this behavior. She normally worked. Note that I use hibernate-drive and extended ram usually sleep for years, and it has always worked properly.

    Thank you very much in advance for any advice you want to give me. I will try to access the system with a shell external grub or with a different distribution of linux to re - install grub. I hope I don't have to thow away the laptop :-(

    See you soon

    Hello

    What happens when you start? What is the result? Unit stops and crashes or what is the result?
    What distro is mounted on the device?

  • Satellite U300-144 does not come from the standby/hibernation mode

    Hi, can anyone help?

    I have a new Satellite U300-144 accompanying the Vista home 32-bit preinstallation. I have a problem, he wants to come to the sleep/hibernation mode, and my clear blue power is always on standby/hibernation mode. I hold the power button to restart the computer and then I get a message of illegal closure because I don t shutdown right.

    I tried to upgrade the BIOS later for my model and the n t the problem, then I tried to upgrade to Vista Ultimate t doesn't help either. I installed all the drivers and everything works real well.

    A colleague using me U300 Office. I asked him to check the extended sleep/standby option and he reported that everything works correctly. He always uses the factory settings and only one update is added value package. He kidnapped the former and installed latest version of the Toshiba download page.

    Have you installed latest PPVS too?

  • Satellite A300-15J: touch button does not work properly from standby

    Recently I bought this laptop, works great except one problem...

    There is touchbutton for LED switching power.
    When I close or put the laptop in sleep, this button does not work like that but activates or disables the sound.

    I'm using Vista, I wonder if there is any patch or something for this problem.
    Thank you

    Andrew

    Can you please tell me if that happen after the day before, or after using the hibernation mode too?

  • After a disk defrag, my laptop will not show the option 'Standby' and I do not have "Hybrid Sleep"!

    I did a defrag disk this morning after a clean place and in the afternoon after I press 'OK' and said to my fiancee to Hibernate my laptop option wasn't there, so I restarted, but it does not show, I stopped it for a while, but the same thing happened. I entered the "Windows Help" option but he only told me that an administrator has the ability to put it, unless the execution of the programme in the hybrid sleep, but nothing is, and I don't have this option! I don't understand what happened. Thank you so much for answering!

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/928897

    I used the disk cleanup tool in Windows Vista, and now the hybrid sleep feature and the hibernation feature are unavailable

    See if the above solves the problem.

    See you soon.

  • USB devices not recognized after exiting standby

    Since that I have rebuilt the system using the Toshiba recoveryware has sent me.

    Is this a known occurrence?

    Hello

    I agree with Lucky. Try to update the BIOS.
    But be careful because bad BIOS update procedure may damage the ROM.

    Good bye

  • A satellite series will not automatically enter hibernation/standby mode

    This feature to work on my laptop, but at the time (maybe 6 months), he started this problem. I don't remember any significant incident they coincide at the beginning of this problem. The computer will enter either of these modes and works fine if I manually turn them, but I can't put it so that they enter these modes automatically after a period of time. I tried to change controls for both the Toshiba utility and Panel options screensaver standard windows, but neither worked for a while. Any ideas?

    An application may be preventing the laptop to enter the Hibernate?

    I remember that PowerDVD did this on my laptop, so close all applications you can, then try again.

    If you have no luck, you may need to run the recovery to reinstall Windows.

    Also try a BIOS update.
