Primary DG not sending arc in standby mode

Hello

11.2.0.2

OEL 6.1

I'm confused why the archive logs are not sent into sleep mode, so it was not applied.

Maybe my DG was confused by the name of the directory of each db?

My primary db has archivelogs in the/FRA/ORCL/archivelog.

While my old db has to/FRA/orcl/archivelog

What is the reason why my it was not sent? How can I make their file name sync?

Hi again,

Just for your information, please see the following link: https://forums.oracle.com/message/11271664#11271664

Thank you

  • Added tablespace in the primary but not reflective mode standby

    Hello

    We have databases main and backup(Oracle 11 g R2) with "STANDBY_FILE_MANAGMENT", set to AUTO.

    However, the tablespace is not is created automatically standby if we add one in elementary school.

    What could be the reason? How to solve this?

    Thank you

    RH_DBA

    If STANDBY_FILE_MANAGMENT' set to AUTO, then it should create a file of data in standby mode - have you seen a mistake in the alerts log.. ?

    Also check the process of recovery on dataguard

    What you got for the below... ?

    Select the sequence #, process, status from v$ managed_standby;

    If already datafile is already added in the primary and not added to sleep then goes down with method

    1. stop the recovery

    2 alter system set STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT = MANUAL;

    3 alter database create datafile...

    4 alter system set STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT = AUTO;

    5 restart the recovery

    Hello;

    Given your combination of errors I could watch this:

    Creation of archive Log fails with error ORA-16014, ORA-00312 [ID 1373314.1]

    Assuming you are using FRA I would check its location:

    SQL > show parameter db_recovery

    If I remember well by default DGMGRL takes destination archive as FRA.

    Use the commands below to each place to check if the parameters change.

    DGMGRL > see the database CDPMTSB logxptstatus;
    DGMGRL > see THE base of DATA CDPMTSB InconsistentProperties;

  • Tablespace Temp created primary not replicated to standby mode

    Hello

    I configured Oracle 9i data guard recently, while doing, that I was forced to restructure primary db since maxlog files was 5, so I used backup controlfile to trace and changed the maxlogfiles to 6 and then transported the remaining steps. While I was using the trace file and restructuring of the Db, I did not notice that I missed to add the temporary file and moving it in standby mode. Yest.Day once get a team request error, that I created a new tablespace temp and logs switch made, however this tablespace temp tempfile was not copied to the standby server. Does this cause anything serious or can I do now to copy it in standby? Only the manual copy with primary db shutdown or any other means?

    Use the commands below

    SQL > alter tablespace add tempfile ' D:\ORACLE\ORADATA\CTSOC\TEMPNEW01. DBF' size 31457280;

    If you take controlfile trace (or) metadata, you can see command DDL that too.

    Two points must be considered in when it comes to Archives of newspapers are not shipped to standby mode:

    1. it should be:
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 = SERVICE = MARKTEST LGWR ASYNC
    VALID_FOR = (ONLINE_LOGFILES, PRIMARY_ROLE)

    2 are you able to conn sys/pwd@stby as sysdba, if yes, it means that there are no connectivity issues; If not, this is the reason that's why newspapers are not shipped to the backup site. It is due to number with password file or something with the name of the service. Just drop it and create a new/freshpassword with the same password for both primary and standby.

    3. check if your OS username part of the ORA_DBA group.

  • So, if your primary is not in mode FORCE_LOGGING...

    I just noticed one of our 11.1.0.7 DBs is not in FORCE_LOGGING mode on the primary.

    I know the app well and she never made basic SQL without SQL * Loader, INSERT with hint, append, etc..

    But it made me wonder... What is the effect, if you have a physical standby DataGuard and its primary is not in FORCE_LOGGING mode and someone performs a NOLOGGING operation?

    There is no recovery to apply on the day before. Let's say that someone adds a table the result of an operation NOLOGGING 100 blocks. Some time on the road, they are updating some of these blocks - the standby would not be able to treat it, right? I'm curious to know what's happening or what's the practical effect.

    I know that the DG manual said primary shall be in FORCE_LOGGING mode.

    Dear Raindog,

    First of all, please read the following thread.

    Why FORCE_LOGGING?

    The Oracle Data Guard will not give you an error that your database is not synchronized in the alert.log file, but in reality your databases are not the same level when you talk about "synchronization."

    The FORCE_LOGGING option will force all databases to record actions in the redo log. You can either force the tablespaces to be registered or any base. In other words, you must have created the configuration of protection of data with the option FORCE_LOGGING is enabled. Just a little tip, FORCE_LOGGING was released in version 9iR2.

    Kind regards.

    Thanks for the link, I found what was preventing the computer in standby mode. It was the srvnet thing.  This link has all the tips and trick to solve this problem.

    I owe you a lunch.

    I contacted the HP Support by phone, the call is routed to the India, where else? The guy wanted remote access to my computer, I said no way Jose. These types of support for HP in India are unnecessary. All he wanted was Remoting to my computer, since I refused he won't talk to me more.

  • PC does not go on standby mode

    Hello

    I have a strange problem with my Pavilion (Vista 64 bit): it just won't go/stay in stand-by mode.

    Whenever I go through start panel into position mode it seems to go through the process of orders-by only're - wake up' the very next second pressing strongly it's fans and check the dvd player (no matter if there is a CD-ROM/dvd-rom in it or not).

    Same thing happens whenever I'm away from the PC long enough for him to enter standby mode automatically. He tries to stand by again after a certain period of time without ever stay in stand-by.

    I had the problem since I bought the PC a few months - but having already had to return to the first person that I bought right away I didn't go through the hazzle and take the second return - once again.

    Thank you very much in advance for your help!

    Sorry for the late reply.

    The question that you mentioned usually caused if the network adapter is set to wake the computer from sleep. If you are usign an always on Internet connection then there will be a constant activity in the network card and it wakes you up the PC as soon as you put in mode 'sleep'.

    Please, check the following and verify that the settings are correct.

    -Press the Windows logo and the R button to open the control box run.

    -Type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK.

    -It will open up the Device Manager.

    -Click on + sign next to network card and right click on the name of the adapter listed.

    -Select properties, then click the power management tab.

    -If the option "Allow this device to wake up the PC" is checked, uncheck the box that and click Ok.

    Try to put the PC to sleep/wake and check if it is in "standby mode".

    Hello. I have a X120e running Windows 8.1 Pro x 64.

    I just put the unit to 4 GB of ram (2 x 2) of 2 GB (1 x 2). Whenever the upper DIMM Slot is used, the system will not leave standby mode and all power, including the battery must be removed from the system so that it works normally again.

    Of interest, all the ram tested with Memtest86 +.

    If it's important the system has the e350 CPU and a 320 GB HARD drive.

    Let me know if you have any input.

    Thank you!

    Update: I've updated the BIOS from 1.16 to 1.17. The system now between and leave pending normally as it should, with the two occupied ram slots.

    Of interest, none of the BIOS settings changed after the update.

  • Computer will not remain in standby mode.

    I have a computer with Windows XP, about 5 years old who often will not remain in standby mode. After 30-45 seconds it starts again and the display shows again the office.

    Does anyone have a suggestion/recommendation what to do about it?

    Thanks, any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello JJLinker, welcome.

    The issue is likely caused by "Wake by " settings in your power options. This gives a shot:

    1. click on START
    2. right click "My computer" and select "Properties".
    "3. click on the tab"Hardware", then select Device Manager.
    4. expand the "Network adapters" category
    5. right click on each of the devices and select "Properties".
    6. on each, go to the tab "power management."
    7 turn off the checkbox "allow this device to wake...". ' and click on 'Ok '.
    8. close all windows and restart the computer

    Let us know what happens

  • When the computer remains in standby mode it will not start normally, usually ok in safe mode, but even when its up and running normally it's extremely slow.

    Original title: searchfilterhost problems

    I am running Vista family 32-bit and when the computer is left in standby mode, that it does not start normally, usually ok in mode without failure, but even if his place and it works normally is extremely slow. Having verified the use of the processor, 82 processes running anything meaningful except 50 + % is used by searchfilterhost.exe, this would cause the problem and if so how it can be cured.

    Good afternoon!

    Has anyone caught the error described below with a PowerEdge T410?

    POWER: not available in standby mode

    Power: Off

    During this operation you tried these steps on both power supplies separately? If yes then it seems that the motherboard may have a problem.
