Ability to connect to the web interface of C20 by using its IP address as password

Good afternoon

One of our customers is trying all their C20 upgrade to version TC5.1.5 and have just accidentally managed to connect the console to web administration using the IP address of units such as password. Set the password also works!

They have tried this on one bunch of other C20 (owned by the same customer, and others) and can not repeat. These units, he tried are slightly different as far as the applied options are different. On the CODEC which fails, the options are 'Natural presenter' and 'High Resolution'. The others are 'Natural presenter' and 'high definition '.

While I don't see this making any probability, it seems to be the only obvious difference between nearly identical devices.

The revisions of software are the same on these CODECs (all currently on TC5.1.0.280662), but he also checked some other CODECs TC5.1.5 running.

The offending CODEC serial number is: F1AN10C00070

In addition to the quirkiness of security above, can we also check why this particular CODEC on the "High Resolution" option rather than the option "high definition"? (Maybe it's not your Department)

The customer believes that all the codecs if bought with the same specifications at the same time.

For you reference, the serial number of some of their other CODECs are: F1AN10C00105 and F1AN10C00275

Thank you very much

Luke

Hi Luke,.

I think that the C20 is not a defined password. If no password is defined for the user "admin", you can type anything in the password field, as long as type you "admin" as the user.

Then try this;

Connect to the codec with admin via the WebUI > in the upper right, you should see a drop down menu to "User: admin" > select "Change password" > let "Current password" as white > and type the new password in "New password" and "Repeat new password", then press "change password."

If you see 'Password successfully changed', you can be sure, there is no password for the admin user, and your new password would be the one password that would successfully connect you to.

Hope this helps,

Arne

  • NAS200: Unable to connect to the Web Interface

Just set up my new NAS200.  I could install two (2-1 TB disks, RAID1) disks and set the IP address.  However, I can not connect in the administration area of the drive to set up users, shared directories, etc..  The doc on the CD has no value.

When I run the initial Setup, I wonder for a pawword.  I enter the password that I entered in initial Setup, and I get.  However, this leaves me not do anything other that configure stuff of basic training.

  • WRT160NL cannot connect to the web interface after firmware update

I've updated the firmware to unofficial http://mirwifi.org/download/fw/WRT160NL/wrt160nl-0.1.3-pre5.bin and since then I can not connect to the router through the web interface. What can I do? Is it possible to update the firmware to the official without web interface? Thanks in advance for any help.

The router's default IP address is 192.168.1.1. Try to ping the IP address of the router and check if you get answers from the router.

Open the Internet browser and in the address bar type http://192.168.1.1. See if you can open the router configuration page.

If this does not work then you can try to update the official firmware on the router using the TFTP.exe file.

Disable the firewall on your computer. Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.

    (1) download the official firmware file from the site Web of Linksys router. Save it to your computer.

    (2) download the tftp site Web of Linksys. Follow this link to search for the file tftp. You'll find downloads for router BEFW11S4. Select the version 3.2 hardware and download the installation wizard. Save it to your computer.

    (3) run the installation wizard. In the server box, type the IP address of your router. In the password box, type the password of the router. Default password for the router is admin. Find the file of the official firmware you have already downloaded and click on upgrade.

    See if it works.

After upgrading the Firmware on the router, it is recommended that you must reset the router and reconfigure.

Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 10 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure.

  • Cannot connect to the Web Interface using IE9 idrac6

    Hello world

I was appalled last Saturday when I have downloaded voluntarily a remote server knowing that I would use the idrac to bring up, to see that when I tried to connect to the idrac he wouldn't my password.  I had to call the customer and send them to the site on Saturday night and I was very angry about this.

After being, upward, that I tried several times to connect remotely and it still would not accept my password, I tried the reset of the OM Server page, but not to go.  I would put my password and it should Flash quickly "Access please wait" at the bottom of the screen, and then he would just go back to the login screen.

I thought maybe it was a browser security issue, so I tried to add the remote site to my trusted sites and lowering of safety, but it did not help, so I tried various is to say like compatibility mode settings and still no go.  This has been tried on 2 different machines to Windows 7 with IE9, a x 64 and x 32.  Then I thought that I would try Chrome instead and it worked fine...

So I tried a VM XP with IE8 on it, and it worked well.  It seems so - that IE9 is the culprit.

I called in the systems management team and we tried which helps some ActiveX controls in the zone of confidence, but it did not help and he me basically what IE9 doesn't play well with the drac's and they are working on an update to fix the problem.

This is perfect and I accept it, because I know I can get with another browser if I had to, but someone has actually managed to make it work with IE9?

I have the same problem. But, I have found that if 'Remove' all under 'Browser history' (check everything: Cookies, history, temporary Internet files, etc...) it will allow me to connect and work for a while. Then I after a bit, it stops working. So again, I delete all log and work harder. This was a major pain in the rear lower.

Oh, but I never have the ActiveX/native console to work. But I'm just using the Java plug-in.

  • Apple a day will include Messages in the web interface for iCloud?

    Hello world

That I really like to write my text Messages on my iMac and MacBook Pro, I was wondering if, one day, we will be able to send text messages from the web interface for iCloud.

I mean, the 'Messages' application might appear with all the others.

During my short time with an Android phone, I used text powerful app. I had to associate the application phone on a Google account and connect to the web interface powerful text with the same Google account.

It was pretty cool and useful.

So, I'm thinking the solution to include 'Messages' to iCloud so that non-iMac users could write SMS with their keyboard too.

    THX.

  • N3048 access to the Web Interface without OOB

I recently had our switch replaced by RMA and have access to the web interface via oob. I'm not sure how to access ports and other subnets and want to access the web interface of the server room outside. It's probably something very obvious, but I don't have the original switch to check the configuration. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can use in-band or oob access to administration from inside or outside the server room.  The port of oob is a completely separate network used for management only, but you can also use a port in the Strip management.  By default, VLAN 1 is usually used in the Strip to transport of management traffic.  If you set an IP address on VLAN 1 you should also be able to manage from this IP address.  Measures would be to define the IP address on VLAN 1, ping ping to test connectivity, remote and then use your browser to connect to the web INTERFACE.  You should be able to use the same username/password that was used for the oob port.  Without a set of name of user and password, the web INTERFACE will not allow the session.

  • SX10 - how to access the web interface behind a firewall

    Howdy

I have a very simple configuration, router and behind her SX10. I can't access the web interface of the remote unit. Is there a port that I need to activate or something?

When the device was connected directly to the modem, with the public IP address, I was able to connect to the web interface.

    any suggestions here?

I enter anything in the field AllowRemote.

    Thanks in advance!

Web interface can be accessed using HTTP ether (80) or HTTPS (443).  To you how you want to deploy, but you can use NAT on the router, port forwarding, or even put the SX10 in DMZ on the router.

Two errors that are not related. TThe web connection uses http to connect to an agent on port 1158, and this agent is which then connects to the database. The sqlplus connection uses tcp to send a link request to the listener on (probably) port 5121.

"It does not connect" isn't a useful error message.

ORA-12154 means that there is no entry for the db requested in your tnsnames.ora file. Please visit http://edstevensdba.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/ora-12154tns-03505/

  • Problems with the web interface of connection vcenter 5.1

    Guys,

What don't understand me, I've set up a new virtual appliance version of vcenter test 5.1, I can connect just fine using vsphere client and console, but the web interface refuses to agree with the same identifiers. What is happening with this single sign? I really do not understand.

You guys could help me please?

I stumbled upon this same question.  5.1 with the search service is completely different than 5.0, this is why the others are not working.

Here's what I did to solve the problem.  I turned on the regeneration of SSL certificate:

    1. Navigate to https://[IP]: 5480 and connect
    2. Go to the Admin tab and press the button "Toggle the setting of certification" until activated regeneration 'certificate' displays Yes
    3. Go to the network tab and change the host name.  This will trigger a regeneration of SSL (or you can change the ip address).  I don't know if change 'localhost' to something else helped, but it can't hurt.
    4. Restart the box (restart System tab button.)

At this point, you can look at the start-up of the machine of vcenter console messages.  You will notice some messages about detection of a new hostname or IP and regenerate a new certificate.  You will see all the services to import it again SSL ceritifcates so.

At the end of the reset, I was able to connect to the web client to vCenter!

  • Ability to create the ad hoc Conference of the web interface of MX300 or SX20?

    Account for remote testing.

Assuming that everything is configured correctly, is it possible to invoke an ad hoc conference of the web interface of the CODEC.

I can place and receive calls from the web page, place a call 2 and the first is pending.

I don't see a way to conference together.

What I have to be sitting at the touch-10 and press the 'Add' button to achieve this?

As far as I KNOW, is not a way to "remote control", as the touchscreen as you can on an IP handset (series 79xx example using view phone or application of single wire)

It is possible to do it via SSH, the codec CLI interface, see dial the xCommand starting from the pg 83.  I could not find a guide to the API for the MX300, but orders should be the same throughout all TC software codecs, if according to the codec and it's capabilities, some commands may be different.

  • WVC54GCA Missing WPA/WPA2 security in the web interface options

I just had a WVC54GCA and discovered that there are some missing configuration options in wireless settings:

On the web interface of cameras:

Web interface > base: Wireless Settings > [modify security settings] > Security Mode:

the drop-down list gives me two options: Disable WEP, but not WPA, WPA2.

I've upgraded to the latest firmware (1.1.00 build 02), but the problem remains.

Tried different browsers (Firefox 3.5, IE8) with the same result.

Is this a bug in the firmware?  A defective unit? Anyone else having the same problem?

Try to reset your IE browser settings and then try to connect to your camera configuration page and check if you are able to find that the options... If it is still impossible to find the WPA/WPA2 Option on your camera, press and hold the reset button for 60 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your camera, wait 60 seconds and reconnect the power cable...

Now check if you are able to find that the options... If still no so I think this could be the problem with the camera...  I think that you need to replace your camera.
