Ability to print duplex on HP Envy 5660 photos?

"I am able to print double-sided regular 8.5x11" leaves, but not the two photos in the photo tray.

Ideally, I would like to be able to do this automatically - in other words, I don't want to have to do it manually.

If the 5660 can do, how? I always choose the box 'Double' and use my standard set 4 x 6 ", but I still get one side printed.

If the 5660 cannot do, which HP printer will be?

Thank you!

Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Unfortunately, the media photo that we have that there is no HP printer which can print photos at 2 sides, allows printing on one side.  Prniting on the other side will have poor print quality and can damage your printer.

Hope that helps!

  • HP Envy 5660: Print duplex on HP Envy 5660

I want to have a setting that automatically makes copies 2 faces.  I managed to find a way to do this on an older HP printer, but it seems there is no option on this one! Someone give me clear steps, please!

    Hello
Follow the steps below to automatically print double-sided print jobs:

In the file being used to print click the file menu and select print.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Press show details to show all available print option.

In the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

To select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    Select layout from the drop-down.

Set the duplex option as the binding edge (Portrait) Long or short edge (landscape) bond.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

  • HP ENVY 5660: Some colors blur and bleeding the Grafix shrink paper inkjet

I'm trying to print using my HP ENVY 5660 on Grafix inkjet Shrink Film, sanded and sanded.

I load the paper in the printer, right side down.  Leaf prints and the cloud of colors outside and purge well beyond what they are supposed to.  What is strange, is that this seems to be the specific color, even on the same page and the same paper.  I used the same graph, change the color scheme in photoshop.

The question seems to be particularly with gray or dark brown.  Even in this case, the results are quite incompatible regardless of what choice I have made.  Colors to print without problem are the colors pastels, more luminous and saturated and dark purple / blues.

Image attached to show the difference in quality on the same page character sets, different colors.

I tried the project in order to reduce the excess of ink.

I used every possible paper setting: other glossy ink jet, another Photo paper, matte paper, paper normal and all options of HP.

The problem does not occur when printing black and white.

    I installed the latest drivers.

    I aligned the cartridges.

I ran a diagnostic page and cleaning, everything is fine.

    I use genuine HP inks.

Edit: I cleaned the inkheads and all parts in your printer with q-tips and isopropyl alcohol.  It is at least very clean now, but the printing problem seems the same.

Edit Edit: the issue stops when I print images at 30% opacity, which leads me to believe that it is a problem of overflow of ink.

    Unfortunately not really.

    Thanks anyway.

  • 5660 envy: Envy 5660, OfficeJet 8710 and 8720: they can print documents from a thumb drive USB connected?

ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer can print documents (for example, .doc files) from a USB connected to its USB port?

Similarly, can the Pro OfficeJet 8710 or 8720 print documents from a USB connected to its USB port?

    Thank you

    DaleBr

    Hi DaleBr,

Any printer PCL3 as the Officejet Pro 8710, 8720 support only Photos of pritning from a USB (JPEG and BMP), it cannot print the document files such as ir PDF DOCX to a thumbdriver, but only to a computer...

The HP Envy 5660 only support printing Photos from a device memory too, but only from SD card, there are not any USB port for a USB.

None of the models above can only print from a computer or a mobile device...

8730 Officejet Pro which is a postscript printer to print PDF, Word and Powerepoint support files directly from a USB (Latin characters), however it is a commercial product and cost more as such:

  • HP Envy 5660 printing mode: printing and print copy mode.

Just bought HP Envy 5660.  Menu assistance has not helped me.   I want printing and copy to print in draft mode.  Is there a way to do this by default for print and copy?   I can change the mode when you print a document, but do not know how to do with the copy.  I would like this to be automatic, without making any changes for each document.

I think you need to press on copy, then small logo copy the settings (like a toothed wheel). That will make appear the menu copy settings, and you can click on 'quality '.  You should then have the choice of the best, Normal and project.

  • HP Envy 5660: KP want 5660 will not print envelopes

I just started to try orint envelopes, but my printer HP Envy 5660 of four months will not be printed #10 or other envelopes.   Machine prints letter size and scans OK but no joy with envelopes.  The value wraps #10 and the loaded paper envelopes.  printer starts to take the envelope then freezes with a "thud" sound and displays the following error message:

    Paper size difference «»

Detected by the printer paper size does not match the selected paper size. »

I re-downloaded and installed the latest version of the HP 5660 software, still no joy, as above.

Very frustrating!   Should I have a defective printer?

I thought about it!  HP will be happy to lnow that the problem was not with the printer HP 5660.  It is with my need to learn how to configure Word 2003 to print envelopes with this printer.  After several visits to help offline in Word 2003 is included on my machine, I have found how non-intuitive to envelopes that run with the 5660.  It evolves your envelope and the graphics setting in tools/Word/letters and direct mail/envelopes and labels/add to the document and then saving them as a Word (.doc) document.  Then, to get the envelope to print, load the envelopes into the printer, then press file/print and then (totally intuitive) configured to print the "current page" or page # 0.  For successive envelopes, you edit the address if necessary in the Word document and then file / print... again.   It seems to work like a charm!

Hello @f_z , welcome to the forums.

I saw your question about wanting to change your setting to print in color, print in black. You must select the option to print in black ink only in the driver of the printer itself.

  • HP Envy 5660: HP Envy 5660 will not be printed on cardstock

I just spent over an hour on the phone with tech support trying to 1 million different options to allow me to print. A week ago, I bought this printer to print on cards for the baptism of my son (in 2 days) and he refuses to print on thick paper. Technical support tried different drivers, printing through the viewer of PDF, Word printing, printing of a multitude of different parameters, since the photo tray, since the main tray, wireless, USB, etc. Nothing WORKS! I need to get there as soon as POSSIBLE. I find it very difficult to believe that this 'thing' print on photo paper but impossible to print on card stock of all things. Help, please! If HP someone sees my case number is 3028801369. Thank you.

    Hi @mirurzun,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer with a Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan computer and you cannot print on thick paper with success. I would like to help with that.

I went and checked the case created by the agent who you work with. He noted that the end of the document appeared at the top of the card stock, but when you use plain paper it printed fine.

I called HP ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer (F8B04A) specifications and found that cardboard did not appear as a type supported media which is probably why you are not able to make it work.
