ability to scroll on my Gateway Laptop
I don't know what I pressed on, but I can't use my laptop mouse mat to scroll up and down - have to use the scroll bar on the side. Is there a quick fix for this? I used it earlier and it worked fine.

Gateway Laptop: plugged in, does not support
I bought my Gateway laptop in January. Randomly last night he said "plugged in, not charging" on the battery meter. I know that this is NOT a problem with the bridge because I googled this problem and common problems seems to be Vista. I tried following these four steps that some have argued work
1.
Click on start and type device in the search for field, and then select Device Manager.
2.
Expand the batteries category.
3.
In the batteries category, right-click in the list of Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and choose uninstall.
WARNING: Do not remove the Microsoft AC adapter driver or any other compatible ACPI driver.
4.
On the taskbar of the Device Manager, click Scan for hardware changes.
You can also select Action > search the hardware changes.
Windows will scan your computer for hardware which has not installed the drivers and will install the necessary drivers to manage the battery power. The notebook should now indicate that the battery is charging. »
but I didn't have much luck with that at all. I really need someone to tell me how to solve this problem, because the fact that this is clearly a big number for Vista users everywhere during the 2 or more years is totally unacceptable and frankly I get really annoyed with the question. So please help me with this problem of Vista and I know for a fact that this isn't a problem with the gateway because it is a practically new computer.Here's what I did and it worked for me:
first 2 steps you have written
step 3: instead of uninstall, I chose to disable them. I have waited 2-3 minutes and activated once again.
Once I turned it on, it started to load.
I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but it worked for me. Give it a try and let me know if it worked.

My canon EOS 20 d is not detected by my computer lenovo, OS Windows 7, 64-bit and Gateway laptop with Windows Vista 32 bit operating system. Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
