• Problem trying to download Netflix Silver Light

  I have a Dell laptop Windows XP Inspiron.Running. I was on Netflix and was prompted to download the 'Light Silver'. When I clicked on download my computer went blue and displayed:

  A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to [prevent damage to your computer.

  Session3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

  Follow these steps (that I made) restart if problem persists press F8 (I did, nothig happened).

  When I ran 'Systems of Test' I got an alarm with the message "error code 1000-0141.

  If you mean that you get a STOP error message that says something like:

  SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

  The usual culprit is an anti-virus software - perhaps Avast!, AVG or Avira who has deleted or quarantined needed XP files as the file manager of Windows Session:

  c:\windows\system32\smss.exe

  I guess that the file might have been really infected and quarantined, but that has never been my experience.

  There is a copy of backup on your system. You just need to start somehow and replace it.

  Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

  Back to your question: it is not easy to give a precise answer and I really put t know if you can change the settings of a single button. I think it has something to do with the registry entries, but how to change, that's another question.

  If you use this button for lighting ON / OFF, you can use FN + ESC for the mute button so you have two options that can be used with a touch or quick key combination.
  Can you please test and confirm that it works correctly?

• Silverlight has install problem-64 bit PC with win7 32 OS installed

  Trying to help a friend with Silverlight.  She has a portable 64-bit with Win 7 32 installed on it.  Websites with Silverlight request installed Silverlight even if it is installed.  I did a number of installs / uninstalls.

  I removed the registry and suggested somewhere else such directory information.   However when I uninstalled Silverlight I noticed also that the registry and directory information was missing.   This suggests that installs it Silverlight is not broken.

  The first question - is he's having a problem installing Silverlight on a 32 bit running on a 64-bit computer OS? (I did the installation of the OS :>)

  I downloaded a theme from Charlie Brown and because the Firefox screen is so large, I see only the top of the head of Charlie Brown, Snoopys.
