    Hello
    I have a Satellite C660 1J2
    Win7 Pro 64 bit 8Meg Ram
    Driver Realtek rtl8188ce 19 wifi / 420/1005-2011-20/04/2011

My setup is a router linksys wrt54gs + wre54g amplifier and the toshiba uses wifi, through the amplifier when I start the tosh every day, the connection is always big 5 bars, but speed is always moving between 18 to 36.

The amplifier is 3 feet distance and in line of sight. If I push the disconnect and re connect speed to 54 and rest until I have shut the tosh at night.

I got a sony vaio before and not issue however the wifi card was only the b - g card.

Is it a no number or you think has something to do with the ariel is a reason for updating the driver in the latest version on the website of Realtek 28/1005-1006-2011?

If you think an update is guaranteed can you confirm it is correct for my tosh and it says auto install, what I have to do something to install or

    can you suggest anything else.

It seems as if the tosh cannot see the amplifier and when I do a disconnection and reconnection, he can see the amplifier.

    Thanks for any help

I recommend you update the WLan driver if new version is available.
It is possible that the compatibility between different routers and modems would improve with new version

However, I also recommend to check the power of Win 7 options and disable WLan Card to save energy.
This power save can save the battery, but affect the WLan functionality.

  • About speed BEFSR41 ver. 2

    Hi all

My ISP (Cox) has improved my 12.5Mbps/2.5Mbps service and I noticed recently I get only 6-7Mbps / 1.5 Mbps, max.

When I bypass my BEFSR41 and go directly from my modem cable in my main computer, I can get up to 18Mbps, constantly. I have not found a tweak of configuration in the router so that it can come close to that speed when using it. Also tried different cables, unplugging everything except the main system, etc.

I read here and there that (some?) Older BEFSR41s (like my ver. 2) is not much higher than 5 Mbps or more because of the limitations of the technology when they were built. Mine is probably 6-7 years and it seems to fit the behavior I see.

Is there a solution to upgrade firmware for this, or what I have to buy just a newer model?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

V4.0 and has the interface WAN 10/100 Mbit / s. personally, I have version 4.0 of this router. I also have the internet Charter cable. I am on the plan of 16 MB / 2 MB. I have full power using the router. I have also a Linksys CM100 cable modem bought not for long. You guys just need to update your routers because they are really old and Linksys has updated to newer versions.

  • question about speed

I'm afraid that using creative cloud that the speed at the level of the office will be limited by internet bandwidth.  If the applications were not on your desktop computer, which would increase speed enormously.  How does this work?

It is one of the biggest misconceptions of cloud Adobe.

Download Cloud applications, install and run on your local desktop. Their speed depends on your hardware, not on the speed of your internet bandwidth.

The part of the cloud of the plan is licensing. When you install the software (locally), activation is performed via the internet. Takes a few seconds.

After that, the software performs a check of the license at least every 99 days (or more frequently if it detects an internet connection) to confirm that your monthly payments are up to date.

License checking is the only part that needs internet. The software itself runs on your local computer. Not required unless you use the internet cloud storage option.

  • Slow speeds of WIRED with N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router

This question is about speed WIRED versus wireless speeds.

This router is used in a situation of Home Office. This office at home connection cable Internet is 500 MB. When one of our computers connects directly to the cable modem we always get 500 MB download speeds. Yet when we connect to this router, these speeds fall into two (on average).

Often, indeed, speeds will drop equal to or less than 100 MB. Yet whenever we unplug the router and plug directly into the cable modem we return up to 500 MB.

    Suggestions?

Unfortunately, the LAN ports cannot be fixed by firmware.

Therefore, it is time to get a new router.

  • TouchSmart 610-1130 uk: Broadcom WLAN adapter limit speed broadband

Broadband providers having changed my download promised 150 Gbps speed could be achieved. The tech' staff of the firmware again connected to my computer and carried out tests of speed and he said that incoming speeds were correct, and that my Wireless Network Connection; WIFI Broadcom adapter is binding for higher speeds. I watched the Broadcom adapter link and he showed at speeds varying between 55mpbs at peak times, to 120 Mbps at other times. My provider said I need a minimum of1gpbs to achieve this.

Someone know if an update of this kind is possible to get more speed, or am I stuck with what I have.

I have a HPTouchsmart 610-1100 uk, which works on Windows 7. Any advice would be appreciated.

Beamerbaz5, something is not here. Your internet service provider lied to you about speed or you misunderstood the speed promised to you. First off let me explain that 150gbps (gigabit per second) is equal to 18.75GBps (gigabytes per second) and you're probably more used to see things in bytes, example an mp3 song can be 3-6MBs (megabytes) and a dvd contains about 4.7GBs. Internet providers and for us to say our Internet speeds in pieces rather than in bytes to confuse us on how fast our speeds are really. If you receive truly 18.75GBps speeds you would be able to download DVDs 4-5 size films in one second, which is unfortunately IMPOSSIBLE, unless your running some supercomputer of type of cutting-edge research that you would need this kind of power and speed to save 18GBs value of data per second. (A typical hard drive can record data about 100 Mbit/s and the new strong States can do around 300-500MBps, but definitely not 18GBps or 18, 000MBps)

I pay about $ 80 per month for Verizon Fios and get 75mbps (9.37MBps) of the speeds, which is one of their flabby superiors of service without spending hundreds a month on internet only. Wireless network connections can fluctuate depending on the location and other factors, which is why you noticed 55mbps and 120mbps, but both should be thin enough. I wonder what your internet provider because there are VERY few companies that offer speeds of even 1 Gbit/s, but NONE I know offer 150gbps. It is possible that you get 150mbps which would be 18.75MBps in this case, Yes, your wireless Internet connection is not enough and you need to use an ethernet network cable to get the speeds promised by your network provider. So yes I call your internet provider and ask them to clarify how fast your actually paying for.

    I hope that helped!

  • Limiting the flow and speed of export

I have a small question about speed rate and export data. I am using first Pro CC 2015. If I limit the data rate at all during export (for example 100 Mbit/s), making export more slowly or more quickly than if I were to leave "to limit the data rate" unchecked? Let's say that I am not concerned by the size of the final output, I want just the best quality with a quick export.

Second question - same idea. Let's say that I am now concerned with the size, but not the quality. So I take a huge project and limit the data rate to get a file e-mailable size about 21MO. It cause the export to be slower, because it compresses all this info in 21MB or it will be faster because I work with a lot less debit?

Any advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you!

  • Speed up the transcoding?

I know, there is a way to 'use the preview files' for export, but what about speed up when you use the "Adobe Dynamic Link?

I apply filters to the items in a project, the longer it takes to 'Yet' to encode the files.

Or is better to burn the DVD?  i.e. export?

    Thanks Marv.

    Marv,

The application of effects (filters in PS), will slow down things, according to the applied effects. Now, the great? Transcoding is your system. Things are very dependent on you're your processor, your RAM and your auxiliary I/o system.

Tell us a little your system first and then the different effects that you have added.

    Good luck

  • Find the best modem / router configuration.

Be 'stuck' with wimpy CenturyLink DSL service (read 4 Mbps), I try to get every ounce of speed that I can with my configuration of a Wi - Fi. The material in question is a Technicolor C1100T modem/router/WiFi and a current model Apple AirPort Extreme.

The question is, whose Setup is faster:

[A] C1100T in Bridge Mode (i.e. modem only) > AirPort Extreme all the PPPoE router / WiFi work, or

[B] C1100T modem handling / PPPoE - router work > AirPort Extreme in Bridge Mode, just do a Wi - Fi connection?

The C1100T goes only up to speed "n" where the Airport manages 'ac '. So my thought is the configuration 'B' may have an advantage. I thought I would ask the collective wisdom of the community of Apple before playing with all the related parameters. Speaking of which, overall the Apple hardware, the PPPoE "Account name" is always shown as formatting as an email (e.g. [email protected]) address. In the C1100T admin settings, the PPP username (PPPoE) is in the format ABC123456789. Formats in the case of AirPort Utility parameters (i.e. it will accept Qwest format)?

As long as we talk about press speed, are there any other tricks, for example by selecting the best channels 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (assuming that one is faster than the other)? Literally, living in the Woods, there is no one else around with any related Wi - Fi signal to interfere.

As always, thanks for the help!

Not trying to be cute here, but if the products work correctly, the results will be the same.

However... speed could be one thing and another reliability.  Setting PPPoE Apple are old and is not known for their reliability.  As you know, in theory, you want the device that provides identification of connection information to connect directly to the Internet service.  This would mean that have C1100T PPPoE c would probably be a better way to do things, reliability wise.

The C1100T goes only up to speed "n" where the Airport manages 'ac '. So my thought is the installation of 'B' may have an advantage

Not in terms of connection to the Internet.  If you are thinking about speed on your local network, the airport would be the way to go. Just ignore the C1100T, or turn off the wireless feature if you feel that it can interfere with wireless the wireless AirPort.

Speaking of which, overall the Apple hardware, the PPPoE "Account name" is always shown as formatting as an email (e.g. [email protected]) address. In the C1100T admin settings, the PPP username (PPPoE) is in the format ABC123456789. Formats in the case of AirPort Utility parameters

No, but I would not use PPPoE over airport.  If you have tons of time and be ready to experiment and put up with connections, more broken then you could try PPPoE on the airport.

As long as we talk about press speed, are there any other tricks, for example by selecting the best channels 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (assuming that one is faster than the other)?

N ° the most convenient airport at startup, it automatically scans to select a channel that meets the criteria set by Apple engineers. As soon as it finds one, he chooses.

If someone really knew what could be the real criteria you had tons of time on your hands, in theory, it may be possible to guess and select a channel as good as who will pick up the airport.

  • How can I get a recovery CD without all the programs pre-installed on A85?

My father spent $800 on a laptop Toshiba A85 (June 2005). His laptop computer has been running slowly most of the time, I made 3 re - installed for him it did not help, it is OK for the first month, but it starts to crawl when starting and simple tasks like opening explore seem to take forever.

I'm very angry with Toshiba they put all these DEMOS programs preinstalled on your laptop AND the recovery CD. This is not good!. The user has no CHOICE about this. Why Don t Toshiba provide these demos on a CD and let the user decide who he wants on his laptop!

I was lucky that I had a Windows XP CD (which came with my PC at home), I tried to install it and it helped a lot! But a few months later, her laptop is slow again. It takes 5 minutes to start and he is on all fours!

I did the usual things - chkdsk, defrag, norton, adware etc...

Is there a hardware flaw with Toshiba laptops? I noticed other people complain about speed?

His old office 700 MHz is faster!

I complained to the technical support of Toshiba (USA) on all pre-installed applications on the recovery CD, but they say they could not do anything for me. They said that a "Windows XP CD is a CUSTOM option and you should have specified that when you bought the laptop" - WELL WELL HOW ARE CLIENTS SUPPOSE KNOWLEDGE what before to BUY the laptop?

What did the Toshiba is not fair. They must have contributed money for all of these applications on the laptop, but it does not help the user it!

OS running slow is incumbent not only on the laptop to the manufacturer, but much more on the user itself. I agree that some things about the recovery image is absolutely useless, but you can simply remove the system everything you think you don t need.

No you don't have to have on your system. Remove everything simply. Another problem is the user himself. I know many users who install each software garbage as possible and then wonder if the system is soft.

I recommend you to check what antivir software you use because many of them slow OS and take too long in the beginning. Also check the list of startup items. Many of them are not important at the start and can be launched separately if necessary.

Google, a little bit and you will find many useful articles how system run faster.

  • Compaq PresarioCQ56: As upgrade Presasrio CQ56 Celeron (R) 900@2.2GHz for faster processor

Based on the diagnosis of HP my CPU is the weakest (3.3 out of 7.9 possible).

    Motherboard: 1605 90.17)

    System BIOS F.15

    Don't prod no XG635 AU #ABA

I would like to examine the feasibility of the upgrade of this laptop relatively inexpensive, 4 year old. I upgraded the

original hard drive 500 GB (Seagate Momentus TX) and doubled the RAM to 4 BG (Crucial CT1901113).

Most hard drive and the doubling of memory has made a faster system. Now the link is more about speed

    the processor.

Has anyone successfully run such an upgrade? What, if any, problems came, you get a maximum return or

are there compromises? I assume here that you, who you are, got right from the start components and

They plugged straight into (any number of hard wire, bad CPU model, hunting for the right pair and finally it).

If you did and had to do it all again, knowing now exactly how, you would do

and how would not a second time around?

I would appreciate any input, but only to a person who made this upgrade. I prefer not to go on the suggestions as 'you can try this' and 'or try this '.

Please answer only if you really know.

Very important: what model of CPU you have upgrade to? Any suggestions where to buy?

    Thank you

    Mengascini2000

    Hi 46scandalli2000,

Welcome to the HP support community! I see that you are looking to upgrade your processor. While I did not myself I can give you some information on this. On most laptops, you will need to replace the entire system (motherboard) card to replace the processor. However, in your model, the processor is replaceable. Here are your Maintenance and Service of Guide and on page 75 you will find a list of compatible processors and instructions to replace.

  • Upgrade of RAM 2

Okay, so I posted a few days ago about my failure to upgrade my system memory.  Whenever I put in two sticks, I hadpicked a little at the back of the monitor, keyboard and mouse would fail to start.  I had lights and fans running in the case, just no input or output option.  It turned out that I was using two different sets of sticks of memory with different speeds.  So, I advanced and bought 16 GB of memory maching sticks (4 x 4 GB).  I thought that with four identical sticks I wouldn't have to worry about speed or the time.

Exactly the same thing happened.  No monitor, no mouse, no keyboard.  Lots of lights and fans in the case.  I took two and it works well again.  It doesn't seem to matter which of these two sets of DDR3 slot are used.

My motherboard features here.  The page says it should be capable of supporting up to 16 GB, so at this point, I'm something of a loss.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

    -Zack

With the new business modules 2, carefully follow the directions to 'clear the CMOS settings '.

Beware that using these modules self-holding performance degrade in modules of DDR3-1333 run at 1066 MHz, if three or more modules are installed. The correct modules can be found here

  • Why is it so slow FPGA?

Hi, I am fairly new to real-time and FPGA programming.  I read a lot about speed problems, such as some modules slows the rest unless you use their own lines, and using fifo to move data more quickly.

But for now, I'm just a simple reading and a simple LED control.  If you look at my code that I have attached, you will see the readings in a loop and the LED control in its own loop.  I have the LED just turn every 1/2 second. (The counties of ticks are set to mSec, 8 bit)  But when the code is running on my FPGA, the LED flashes only every other 12.5 seconds.  It's basically 25 times slower than expected.

I also have a counter tick sending its value to my code in real time, which also has its own meter of ticks, and both are to get connected.  When I look at the counter of the two side by side tick data, it shows time to counter tick in real-time is perfect, but the fpga tick counter time is way slower.  It ends up being 25 times slower.

Why the FPGA reports that it runs so slow?  It's going slowly? Or is the meter tick does not properly? I understand how it works?  Although there are more slow IO modules causing the fpga to run more slowly, the counters of the tick must still report the right to the exact time?

What is possibly sense as to why I get this behavior?

    Thank you

    JES-

    Hey Jes,

In view of these figures, I think what have seen you, it is correct. Assuming a 40 MHz clock, the calculation is:

    500 Mticks / 40 Mticks/s = 12.5 sec.

The 32-bit parameter does not affect the behavior of timing, he controls just what tick counter height can go without flipping.

  • Initialize controls/indicators: invoke node-local variables Vales. Which is faster?

    Hi all

I would like to get the opinion of the people. This thought just happened for me while I was reading some materials the other day.

And I have not found any topic which talks specifically about speed after searching the forum.

It is faster to initialize your controls/indicators using Invoke node OR write directly to the initial value of your local variables?

From my experience (not large), I have always used the invoke node to initialize controls or indicators.

But when I but this question, I did a simple reference point and it seems the local variable approach is faster, especially

If you have the large number of orders/lights to initialize.

Am I missing something here? The invoke node running something that writing a value of local variable would not do?

I thought since you need to set the initial state by default for the node to invoke anyway, why not just write the desired initial value

    your local variables?

I would appreciate if someone can express his own opinion based on their experience and knowledge.

    Thank you ~ ~

I may need another Cup of coffee this morning, you are in fact callling the reset by default on each individual control.  My last despises, it is that you use the default method Vals.Reinitialize VI all failing.  It will probably be a bit faster than the method on individual controls.  Still not instant, if.

Are a few msec is worth to you?  If so and you consider the local path, my advice is to group as many controls as possible into clusters for minimize you headaches.
