accelerometer test

Is there a way to test in the simulater how he would act with the accelerometer?

The only way that I can think of is to create a rectangle and use the mouse click/drag.

Hi daniel,.

Currently, there is no way to test for the accelorometer in that time. If all goes well, it will be available in the next version. hope that things cleared up. Good luck!

  • Re: Incorrect accelerometer readings

I have a strange problem: shortly after the start of my tablet, the accelerometer is weird. Therefore, the acceleration of the screen is always upside down, and it does not meet the rotation of the tablet.

If I read the readings of accelerometer with a test program, the trend is good, but the zero level is incorrect. 0 g, X denotes + 4 m/s, Y indicates-9 m/s and Z watch-5 m/s. What explains the problem with the rotation of the screen. The only solution seems to be a reset.

Is that what I can do to solve this problem, or do I need to bring it back? I'm just inside 6 months since I bought it, so I need to know soon...

PS: This is a Pro to excite 10.1 16 GB, I think AT10LE-A108 is the official type.

    > I feel it was a rogue background process.
    > It is difficult to say which, but I learned that any application can recalibrate (or spoil) the accelerometer.

Sometimes its very useful restore Android system, but also the tablet to the factory settings. Where the Android system was confused upward through an app or a process, this reset should solve the problem.
That's why I think you should check it out in case you no it did not in the past.

  • Windows 7 Pro x 64 does not detect HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor (accelerometer)

    Hello.

I installed win7pro x 64 yesterday and already fallen on a serious problem, which is how I use the laptop a little dangerous for my valuable data.

When I was working on HP Vista 32 bit (of the partition recovery etc.) brand, it was a device called the HP Mobile Data Protection with HP ProtectSmart software sensor (or protect Smart). In other words, the accelerometer HDD which parks the HARD drive heads when it "feels" it is down or something and the software for it. It has worked flawlessly.

Until I decided to install Win7... And then, surprisingly, after failure of driver install and take a look in the Device Manager, I have noticed that there is no such device. I checked three times, looked at property of each device, even reinstalled Vista 32bits back - he has shown again - and installed Win7 - not detected again. There is nothing that has the HPQ004 device ID! I remember people saying that after that fresh Windows installed, there are 6 unknown devices or more. I got only 5. [Device fingerprinting, 3 x MemCard player and IR receiver]. There is no accelerometer... Also, when I try to install the drivers/software, windows appears:

ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection: with the text Property.AccelerometerNotPresent

and then another saying something like features were not installed due to wrong installation or not supported feature.

So now I'm stuck with a laptop it is dangerous to travel with, because the disk is no longer protected

I have already installed all the drivers available on the HP page, even downloaded those newer Intel (chipset) etc.

Is there a solution to this? Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Windows 7 is officially released and available in RTM version, not beta, so I think that HP should open support in his favor and release new drivers for win7! And above all, to solve this problem...

If anyone is interested, this problem is solved now.

Just download the new drivers from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & cc = us & prodTypeId = 321957 & prodSeriesId = 3744188 & swItem = ob-76187-1 & mode = 4 & idx = 2, install and make sure you have the latest version of the BIOS. Tested - heads are being finally parked! Yay!

  • Yet WT8 - question of Gyroscope (accelerometer 3 axes) all in game

    Hi all

Recently I bought unit Toshiba again.

However, I am not able to solve the problem with the accelerometer (or gyroscope).
I will use the example of asphalt 8 game despite the fact that I checked several other titles.

    Still has the same problem.
While gaming, it is only the left... only it self.
If I'm blocking the past of automatic position of the screen that allows the car to turn right.

Could you please tell any resolution?

    Thank you very much

This problem occurs with all tested games?

Check if its possible to calibrate the accelerometer in the game settings.

How about you, affecting the system back to factory settings?
    Have you tested it?

  • Measured values of task not aggreeing with the measurements of the test Panel

We read (with excitement) accelerometers using modules PXI-6254. Initially, we thought that we were see shift CC and we were and we filtered. Now, if we measure the sensor output at rest with an O'scope we read uV. For even if we read the channels with MAX test panels we also read some uV. But when we do the DAQmx tasks and look at the tensions of the task to MAX (same sensors at rest), we see readings of up to 25 or 30 mV - orders of magnitude higher. Can anyone suggest what may be the cause?

(I enclose a word with screenshots represetative doc)

    Thank you

    lmd2

How many channels are tailor-made and at what rate?  What is the output impedance of the accelerometer or filters, you have between the accelerometers and the 6254?

It is possible that you run into error when paying.  The specifications for the PXI-625 x cards has a chart showing the expected setting vs error track-to-track interval various sources.

A way to test this would be to slow down your sampling rate.  If the error decreases as you slow down the sampling frequency, it's a good bet that you run into a problem of setup time.

  • Calibration for HP Jet 7 accelerometer option?

I recently bought a HP Jet 7 and is one amazing Tablet especially for the price. Currently, I met a problem with the accelerometer, which for some reason any is 10 degrees off the coast.

He is very sensitive, especially in games and applications that use the accelerometer, I use this tablet on a daily basis and it bothers me a lot.

Is there a way I can somehow calibrate this sensor? I already looked in the parameters for such an option, but without success. It's the only thing that bothers me, otherwise it is a great tablet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

As far as I know the only partners display tool mentioned above is to test your touch screen only. And he wants to calibrate its not the screen accelerometer.

  • Accelerometer (voltage) of the signals using the module NI6361 (PXI)

    Hi guys,.

I posted this question once again, but I still have problems with the acquisition of data. I'm acquiring a voltage signal by using an accelerometer module and single voltage NI6361. I would like to set up the accelerometer to measure a range of signal between + / 5000g.

    The accelerometer sensitivity = 0,516 mV/g where

    1 g = 0,000516 Volts or

    1938-g = 1 Volt or

    5000 g = 2.58 Volts

-J' left the signal conditioning with +/-10 Volts (despite the fact that there is another option value +/-5 Volts as well)-please see attached pdf

-I entered the units sensitivity to g

-J' put labview to measure a signal between +/-10 Volts to the single a complete axis accelerometer.

-An oscilloscope was related to the card, and she won the same vertices with the LabVIEW. -Please see attached pdf

-By knocking gently on the accelerometer, the recorded signal was 400 mV = 0.4 V where he gives an acceleration of 775g.

-L' accelerometer is also fixed on the ball for a shock test fell from a distance of 50 mm. The recorded acceleration was 4000g which is quite high for such a small distance. I expect an acceleration of about 200g of 2 to 4 meters according to some documents as well.

Can you please give me any help on the way in which the parameters are specified correctly between the accelerometer and the coupler? I'd appreciate it highly if you can correct me if anything of the above statement is false. I have attached a PDF for your convenience.

    Kind regards

Since gain is the scale factor for tension, you must divide your results by the gain.

    g = voltage / (sensitivity * win)

  • Accelerometer: Can I do this with my labVIEW 8.2 Student Edition?

    Dear anyone who reads this,

Sorry, but I'm still a beginner in this program. But I want to know if I can do this with labVIEW or not: I have an accelerometer sensor, attached to a flat surface. Of course there will be noise, but there will be times of impact forces that causes a significant acceleration to be detected by the accelerometer. I want to put a threshold to a certain extent so that only signals above specified scope will give data. Most of the time sounds will be below the threshold, but impact force will be causes acceleration to go above trigger level - by using a counter (to continually County time), I want to labVIEW to record and give wide/show time (which is recorded by the meter) at the moment the first data point is detected (which is the first data point magnitudes the trigger level).

Now, considering the impact creates soundwaves and they are very fast, as it takes a microsecond counter.

    Is this possible?

A simple answer Yes or no would be greatly appreciated. Any additional comments are welcome.

    Thank you

    Hi Bangkok,

You will be certainly able to do this using LabVIEW, however, so far, the discussion has been clocked by the software approach.  In LabVIEW, rather than use the mask and the limit test VI, I probably just use the base level trigger found VI here instead.

For best performance, you must perform this trigger at the hardware level.  Any of our material of the M series low cost support material analog trigger.  You will program these devices with our driver OR DAQmx.  The installation of this driver includes many examples of LabVIEW which will help you in the right direction.

  • cDAQ 9184 with module NI9232 for sensor accelerometer and pressure

I'm currently building a CompactDAQ system for measuring two signals: vibration and pressure in the duct system. The system will consist of the following elements: chassis, NI 9232 Module cDAQ9184. Accelerometer IEPE to measure acceleration (vibration) and pressure for the measurement of the pressure sensor. My question is: can I connect the pressure sensor in the NI 9232 module? I have found on the site OR that this module is designed for acceleration and offers a conditioning of signals and excitation for accelerometers but nothing mentioned about pressure sensors. On the other hand the site mentions NI9237 module as the best choice for pressure sensors. So can I just use 9232 OR both sensors or not.  Thank you

Here's an IEPE (source of ICP (r)) of transducors pressure: http://www.pcb.com/products/browse_productlist.asp

    Kistler is another provider.

To help choose - can you tell us more about what you are going to connect the sensors - what is the unit under test?

What do you do in the hope of discovering or surveillance of the unit?

  • DAQmx (Version 9.1) Create Channel for accelerometer will NOT convert m/s ^ 2

I use DAQmx create channels for accelerometer to get results in the unit (m/s ^ 2)

It worked until DAQmx Version 8.9.

Now, I tested it with DAQmxVersion 9.1 and the results are in g (not converted to m/s ^ 2!)

I use wth .vi DAQmx Create Channel (I-acceleration-accelerometer) entries

    units = m/s ^ 2

sensitivity units = V/g (there is no sensitivity unit V /(m/s^2) available)

sensitivity sensitivity value in V/g =

    In DAQmx<= 8.9="" the="" double="" numbers="" are ="" correct="" converted="" to="">

but in DAQmx 9.1 not (values are in g and low by 9.81)

My solution is the following change

    units = g

    sensitivity units = V/g

    sensitivity = sensitivity value in V /(m/s^2)

Then the double numbers are not converted, but m/s ^ 2.

And this work in all versions of DAQmx.

    The problem is:

    Hi Peter,.

I'm not in my office at the moment and I can't try it by myself, I have forwarded your request to one of my colleagues, I hope he will contact you soon.

    Sorry for the delay,

The language of MAX settings depend on the regional settings of your Windows operating system. See the following page:

  • Z5 - accelerometer / auto rotation - does not work

    Hi all

I hope you can help me with below the question.

I'm a very happy new owner Xperia Z5 'almost'. After reading the forum for the last 4 weeks, I finally bought Xperia Z5 only 2 days ago. After moving to iPhone5, I was very pleased until what I figured out that accelerometer (and auto rotate) do any work.

My investigation went as far as following:

-in the Middle-> screen-> auto rotation is switched ON and despite the fact that it does not

-in service mode * #* #7378423 #* #*-> Service tests-> accelerometer-> the "ball" in the image is ALWAYS on the left side (meaning: there is no way to move the ball to the right, regardless of how I move or rotate the phone, see pictures at the bottom of this post)

-in Safe Mode - the question is the same

-After repairing the phone via PC Companion - the question is the same

    -Gyro works very well

I'm totally out of ideas now and are about to book a service at Sony (never had to do so fast that leaves a bad first impression, unfortunately).

If any of you had a similar issue and have clues on how to fix it, please let me know.

    Thank you

    Sylwester

    Happy to help

  • Accelerometer turns off when the screen is off

When testing my application on a Z10 android port the accelerometer turns off when the screen is off. A partial wake lock does not turn the sensor back on. A wake dim screen lock is needed to re - turn on the detector. This behavior forces the screen to be all the time when an application requires the use of these sensors.

An example would be a pedometer recording the steps throughout the day. In order to operate the screen must be turned on by the application that runs in the background. This will cause a fast draining of the battery and is not an acceptable solution.

On Android, a partial wake lock is enough to keep the accelerometer running.

I think this should be reported as a deficiency, a lot of motion carried since Android applications will be blocked by this and my app port is one of them.

Tested on system Z10, model number STL100-3. Version of the 10.1.0.273 software

The fix will appear in MR 10.2, 10.2.1 aka.

I recently submitted a fix for the problem.

  • Accelerometer reading is not being updated smoothly when you move your device on the left to right or right-left in the Horizontal plane

I'm developing an app for BB 10 devices using the accelerometer. I tested on a BB 10 Dev Alpha device.

When I move the camera in LANDSCAPE MODE on the left to right or from right to left direction in the Horizontal plane, the accelerometer readings are not updated day smoothly as they do in other directions.

In addition, the update in the Vertical plane is not as by expectations, is not through with Android, Iphone or other blackberry devices.

I even checked BlackBerry example project of the accelerometer. It has the same problem. Has anyone else facing the same problem? Is there any solution for this?

Accelerometer reading is not updated because the example provided on github at this rate of accelerometer is set to very high. code: ACCELEROMETER_RATE = 25000 which is high. As directed by their document

Is the rate at which the data from the updates of the material. The rate of update of the material
is defined below using sensor_set_rate. If we set this to 1000, then it properly updated and gives the readings that we arrive on the java BB device.

Replace the code: ACCELEROMETER_RATE = 1000, then it updates corretly.

  • Shake accelerometer Flash trigger

I did experiments with the accelerometer class in Flash CS5 and made a soft simple test of a ball that moves according to the inclination of the device (tested in Adobe Device Central). What I want to do now is to detect a shake to trigger a method.

I created a maagic 8 ball in Flash that displays a response via an event: mouse click. Instead of using the click of the mouse, I would like to detect a shake. Any ideas? All my AS3 code is in the layer actions, no code in the class definition.

I was looking for the same thing today and stumbled on the answer here:

    http://www.russtarleton.com/2010/05/detecting-a-shake-on-a-Flash-10-1-enabled-Android-device-using-a...

If you code layer actions only, you'll want to get the things out of class (that is to say, 'private' before the vars functions)... but it's essentially the same.

I used this method on the iPhone and worked well. Although I could not shake_wait to work. Once I deleted all references shake_wait, I was able to make it work.

  • Simulate the GPS and the accelerometer?

Don't/does the Simulator to simulate coordinates GPS (direction, speed, etc.) and the accelerometer?  I know that VMWare will be not able to do it, but another method?  Yet another application in developer mode that can run a script to simulate some actions (ala XML)?

Little a chicken or the egg situation were there are people who want to deliver these applications before the product launch, but would need a product to develop and test their applications.

We will call this "Most Wanted Features in Simulator" thread, I'm dreaming of touching and sliding events.
