  If the same Jabber account appears in system preferences > accounts Internet deselect the option Messages here.

  If it does not help open the Keychain Access application, in Applications/Utilities, and delete everything you can find about this Jabber account especially those who start by...  com.Apple.account. Yahoo.oauth - token-nosync bit "BOLD" in this example.  The italic bit will be Service (Jabber server) you are using.

  I had to do this way with my Google account to upgrade to El Capitan.

• Thunderbird is showing me Yahoo messages that are not Yahoo.

  I have 7 email using Thunderbird accounts and it normally works well, but then normal mail through the works of Yahoo fine, that I get a hundred spams a day sent to my Yahoo account but not appearing is not on the webmail of Yahoo.   For no reason that I can discern, TBird stopped to receive or send messages. I even went back to my Beta version to install 38.4.0. I also found that I can not remove or add accounts. The Actions of account in the account page shows settings remove the account, asking me to confirm the choice, seems ok, but does not actually remove account. Try to add an account using file > new > existing e-mail account through the process to verify the account and password, but the account is not created. Only the real problem that left me speechless for a while were the AddressBook files: abook.mab, abook - 1.mab and abook - 2.mab. I couldn't export address book to work at all. Just generated empty files. After trying many things, I just added two additional address books to my new address book by default, which has generated additional files. I could then directly fly over the old address book files to replace those generated and rename the address books (NOT files) for what I had previously used. Maybe this will help someone in the future.

  My machine went on mode standby mode when it is connected with the Sansa clip. I grew up my machine and unplugged the USB Sansa, since then clip shows a message "disconnected." Even if I'm trying out or other options it still shows offline message. I tried the firmware update, but it says that no product can be updated sansa is recognized.

  I hate it when this happens.  The Sansa off, slide the switch to the position IT and hold it there for 10-15 seconds.  This will be a soft reset of the device.

  It should now light up normally and will be recognized by the computer again.

  You can prevent this catastrophe wee by configuring the USB to stay in standby mode. With the trendy Sansa, in Device Manager, go to Bus USB controllers, and expand that.  You will see a list of ads from hub USB root at the bottom of the tree.

  Starting at the bottom, click twice on each one and select Properties.  The Sansa is hidden in this point of view, but it is be clicking on the current tab.  When you have found the position of hub with the Sansa listed, click the power management tab, and uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

  Please note that the Sansa Updater will modernize only the firmware currently installed the latest version, but it is not designed to reinstall the same version, as in the case of a repair.  To reinstall the same version, you must follow the instructions to install the firmware manually.

  In this particular case, I don't think it will damage your firmware.  The soft reset should do the trick.
