Acer 5749 does not start

Hi all

My acer 5749 flashed a blue screen while I was loading some film from a blue screen USB files is one of those blue screen of death but he went off so fast that I didn't have time to read. The laptop, then stop.

I tried to restart and got a black screen with a high massif white slider to the left.

Looked at the bios and is to recognize the hard drive because there is a model name and the series number but it does not start.

I don't have the original OS drive to try it.

I dropped the cell phone a week or so more soon on the floor and asked if its connected to that so pulled out the hard drive and reinstalled it, reset the bios to default and, sometimes, settings that it comes up with a screen saying

TO ATHEOS PCIE ETHERNET CONTROLLER V2.0.2.7 (02/11/10)

CHECK THE CONNECTION OF THE CABLE!

PXE: MOF LEAVING INTEL PXE ROM

NO BOOT DEVICE INSERT THE BOOT FLOPPY

and sometimes it's just the black screen with cursor solid/horizontal dash above on the left.

Is the hard drive that's duff and how do I check the disc before I get a new one or is it something else?

Bob

All done and works perfectly now thank you!

Yes iso worked just above asked me for the windows product key and to check I had to do it by phone at the time, I didn't have no driver so no connection NET but everything seems to work fine now and no exclamation point yellow, thanks for the tips

After I got a blue screen (flashed by too fast to see the error message) when I try to reboot my acer 5610Z laptop computer with vista home edition, usually nothing happens at all. sometimes windows is trying to run the Startup Repair tool, then crashes and only a cursor flashing at a black screen.  Tried to open the case and clean the Fan & Heatsink heat to air without effect.

The blue screen came a few days after I started using a new USB mouse, but the fan seemed to get high a few days earlier.

But I noticed it will make the road to startup repair only if the battery is in, and never if only the power cord is attached.  Also, if I let the computer sit for several days, it is more likely start (even though he never passed from the Startup Repair).

    1. try the system restore.

    2. try to do a startup repair disk.

    3 acer Recovery Options.

    4. contact Acer.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

  • Acer 8930G - does not start after the start screen

Every afternoon, I have an Acer 8930 G, he knocks over a few years (approx. 7ish) and this is the first problem I have had with it. When I turn it on, the normal Acer screen looks and where it would normally load just Windows then off. Power exists that all the lights still work, and there is a white-ish light that looks like inside the base of the screen. I looked on the web and have tried the flashlight on the screen and also removal of battery / power supply cable and press the power button for a minute and reconstruction and try again, but nothing helped. I am able to get on the BIOS screen and it looked like the boot in position 1 device is the BD player, I moved this back to the hard drive but still the same thing... Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem? Thank you very much in advance Ross

If you have important data inside the HARD disk, I suggest you create a media DRIVE or a bootable CD Hiren boot cd .iso

    http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/

then boot from the serious media and choose mini-xp in the options, once in the Office search on your HARD drive and save your files on a USB key or external HARD drive.

  • New Acer desktop PC does not start

Original title: Please help! New Acer desktop PC does not start and the Acer Support is useless!

Have desktop Acer running Vista.  When turning the power on, screen stops at a black screen with "American Megatrends" and "press Delete to enter Setup or F12 for BBS Popup.  Bed features but cold stops at Auto detecting USB storage devices.  Have you tried typing Delete on startup and F12 also.  Also tried F8 and F10 control.  Nothing seems to work.  Sometimes when I hit Delete or F12 at the power, subsequently will pass on their corresponding monitors but it takes literally hours sometimes.  I downloaded a Vista Recovery of Neotech and tried to have the start of the DVD system, but obviously, it didn't work.  Had the same problems when I had to restart.  Please help had only 1 month, is going to launch windows soon!

    Hello

  • TC - 705 crashed. does not start. error message

My sucks TC-705 crashed.  It does not start.  error message saying lack driver DVD player.  At the beginning I was not too worried because my recovery is on a USB key.  He went through the installation process, but the re-boot did it again.  Endless loop.  I tried all repair options without success.  I went to the command prompt and run the scan and repair.  Scanned very well, she could not make the repairs.  If nothing worked the hard drive may be damaged, said a source online.  I put a new disc in, but there was no improvement.

Where should I go from here?

    Ironfly,

I downloaded vanilla but after I extracted it I could not make heads or tails of it.  The Readme went on and on the forums running with it but not said me something about how to launch it.  I have a question on how to launch online, but the first statement, I had was to open my WOW file.  I knew then that I had wandered in some elses universe.  After reading more later, I realized that he was playing.

All of this is moot right now because my DVD drive and all my usb ports are dead.  There is nowhere where ever I go except in the bios.

At this point, I don't think that there is nothing I can do.  The computer is still under warranty and I have a one year protection plan so I'll let Newegg and Acer deal with reclamation.

I wish I could give you a hundred Bravo for all your efforts.  Thank you and all those who participated.

  • Aspire One D257-13478 does not start after the system BIOS flash.

    I gave my child a D257 - 13478 new ASPIREONE.

It came with Windows7 starter - was very slow, crippled and crashed a lot.

After a while, I have re-formatted the HARD drive to remove Windows-resources-pork-7, and I installed Windows XP Professional (SP3).

After which, the netbook has been much faster, and I could navigate with 5 windows open browser (FireFox) and NEVER receive (not RESPONDING), as I was always getting with Windoze 7. He's been good for 5 months.

Anyway, it worked fine except that I could not find driver XP for [CODE 10] Broadcom wireless card,.

so we were not using WiFi.

Today I read the suggestion to update my BIOS to correct [CODE 10 number}. I went to acer link and downloaded the BIOS of the Organizer, RAN the EXE and the netbook went to restart.

When the ACER logo appears, a blue screen flashed QUICK, and the netbook RESTARTS again.

Asking me to start Windows normally just repeat what's happening above

When I choose Safe Mode... drivers will charge up to Mup.sys and then the system just REBOOTS.

When I try the last good Configuration known, same thing.

Enter the system (F2) shows, Version of the system Bios configuration utility: v1.15

It used to be all about v1.10.

    .................................................

Then. What is my next step?

Will be my HD reformatting and reinstall WIndowsXP DIFFICULTY this problem?

    or

How can I RESET my Bios to v1.10 (when everything was fine).

No software to use on a USB key to solve this problem? (because theres no CD don't drive of course)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi MOne

The flash will have changed the BIOS settings, so go in the BIOS settings and verify that the setting of the HARD drive is in AHCI mode. If it still does not start XP, then it is worth trying to format & reinstall Windows from scratch.

  • How can I reinstall windows xp when the computer does not start and there is no cdrom/dvd drive?

I have an Acer netbook aspire one.  It will not boot past the windows logo.  I have a windows xp disc to reinstall windows, but the computer has no CD or dvd rom.  Can I copy cd of windows xp on startup SD memory card and reinstall windows?  Or can I run connect the non working pc a working PC to access the cdrom on the work pc to reinstall windows?

First of all, you are mistaken when you say that the PC does not start.

This is clearly starting. The problem comes from Windows, not with the real PC. It's actually a very important distinction!

There are methods to repair Windows, but they can be a bit tedious. By all means, follow the advice given here to do if you're so inclined.

If you would not rather to repair Windows (and I think it's interesting a try) or your repair attempts are unsuccessful, apparently, you would need to use an external optical disc drive and follow the instructions here:

    Ainjel Hello,

This occurs generally early in the boot process. For example, the problem may occur shortly after the splash screen appears, and you will see a black screen with a moving progress bar. Specifically, this problem occurs generally when the system tries to load the i8042prt.sys driver. The problem only occurs in certain hardware configurations.

You need the installation disk so that you can try to perform a system restore which is the WinRE recovery environment and then once you are able to start, you can try to install the fix below:

    Error message when you start a Windows Vista-based computer: "STOP: 0 x 00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA".

  • Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 1000 and a Microsoft wireless optical mouse 2000 - my computer does not start.

    Hello.

I have Microsoft Wireless 1000 keyboard and an optical mouse wireless Microsoft 2000, they worked fine on my old computer with XP.

Now, I bought an Acer Predator G3620 with Windows 7 and my computer does not start. He stops and beeps when it says "Press DEL to enter setup", this continues to the repeat. When I use the wired Acer keyboard and mouse the computer starts normally.

When I inserted the original CD with the drivers, it gave an error of compatibility with this version of windows. So I downloaded the drivers and everything seemed fine. But when I start the computer (or reboot) I have to disconnect the transmitter/receiver or the computer stops and beeps.

Once the computer is turned on, I can reconnect the transceiver, and it works fine.

Find it me hard to believe that it has to bee like that.

I have to buy a new keyboard and mouse?

    Brgs,
