Acer computer brand new with problem BSOD in Windows 8

Hello

I bought this computer Acer Predator brand new and I'm getting BSOD related reboots.

Could you please check my minidump file and give me advice?

Or I'll take the computer as the hardware and the software is under warranty.

Hi John,

We have several audits of bug:

ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY (CF)

This indicates that an attempt was made to execute non-executable memory.

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1e)

This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which did not catch the error handler.

Verification of error 1E, {ffffffffc000001d, fffff801af0bb63e, fffff801af363800, 2}

0: kd > fffff801af0bb63e ln
(fffff801'af0bb600)   nt! KeReleaseInStackQueuedSpinLock + 0x3e |  (fffff801'af0bb670) nt! KeResetEvent

^^ The exception is produced in nt! KeReleaseInStackQueuedSpinLock. This routine restores the original IRQL that the operating system saved at the beginning of the call to KeAcquireInStackQueuedSpinLock .

KeAcquireInStackQueuedSpinLock increases the level of IRQL at DISPATCH_LEVEL level during the acquisition of the spin lock.

If we check the IRQL at time of accident:

0: kd >! IRQL
Debugger saved IRQL for processor 0 x 0-2 (DISPATCH_LEVEL)

^^ Very well, we're right on the money in the measure of the level IRQL go... but why an exception occurred here on this pretty normal routine? My guess is we had a DPC/lock and the system deadlocked. It could be both material.

TIMER_OR_DPC_INVALID (c7)

This is issued when a timer kernel or deferred procedure call (DPC) is located somewhere in memory where it is not allowed.

This problem is usually caused by a driver, not to cancel a timer or a DPC before freeing the memory where he resides.

1. make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

2. remove and replace McAfee integrated Windows Defender in Windows 8 for temporary troubleshooting purposes as it is probably cause conflicts:

Removal of McAfee- http://service.McAfee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?ID=TS101331

Windows Defender (how put on after the withdrawal)- http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/21962-Windows-Defender-turn-off-Windows-8-a.html

3 if the two above fail, return the laptop ASAP for a new replacement brand as then it is a hardware problem. No brand new laptop should be planted in all circumstances.

Kind regards

Patrick

    Two points:

    1. it is unlikely that your current installation would work if
you have changed motherboards. You need to reinstall itself.

2 but you cannot use your current copy of Windows if you change
motherboards, not even if reinstall you it cleanly. The largest
disadvantage of an OEM version, is that its license it binds permanently
the first computer, it is installed on and Microsoft believes that
If you change the motherboards, another computer. It can never
legally be moved to another computer, sold or transferred (except with)
the original computer). If the computer dies or is stolen, your
    license dies with him.

  • What should I do to install HP PSC 2175 on Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit computer brand new?

    Hi all

New here, but have used HP printers for eons.

I just 'retired' my old Win XP computer which was attached my printer PSC 2175 and works very well. I am now set up my brand new win 7 Pro 32 Bit computer and I was wondering what I should do first steps.

    1. I have to install the CD printing software and follow the on-screen instructions?

    2. then, I should go to the HP website and download all the up-to-date drivers I need?

I bought the printer in 2006 and the "cheat sheet" included for installation only mentions computers running up to XP. But I understand that this printer is compatible with Win 7 and since it runs like a dream, I don't want to buy a new printer, if I did not really.

Thanks for all your help in advance

    Barb

@fritzmom, Sorry so late for your response. You will need to configure your printer first hardware. Install the ink cartridges and leave the initialization process.

When the printer is on the main screen, then you can download the drivers from the Web site or the installation CD.

Either way is fine. If you want to download the latest drivers, simply go to the link below.

@2of4, all you have to do is re - download by connecting the USB cable. Here is a link that may help.

  • Brand new Lenovo G780 BSOD

    Dear Lenovo support,

Yesterday, I bought my first laptop Lenovo, Lenovo G780 brand new. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Immediately after installation, guess what, I am Blue Screen of Death and one more like 15 minutes ago. I have only 2 GB of RAM, and I noticed that the system often maximizes memory and have zero available RAM. What is the reason for BSOD? Can I upgrade RAM to 4 or 8 GB? What RAM I wait, DDR3? Please give me some advice or recommendations on what do I do? Thank you. I just, I can't accept that this is happening to the new machine.

    Hello, NINE.

Well, I tried to disable the UEFI boot and then re - enabled again because no specific change occurred. No BSOD so far. I assumed it was a RAM memory because I remember BSOD message was "memory cache" or "cache manager. I will modernize just the RAM to 4 GB. Suppose I have two ram slots.

  • Computer brand new finds itself down and slow that I can't use it!

I just bought a HP all-in-one computer and it is so bogged down and slow, I can hardly even typing this message.  I have not downloaded anything, but I hear it constantly running in the background.  It is almost impossible to hit, because the cursor is not yet facing my main features, the internet takes minutes to start, and there is no such thing as a quick email.  The movement of the cursor is SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW and jerky.  I thought I'd love this new computer, but I'm there hate.  Help!

    Hello

The computer is new, it is under warranty.

I suggest that you contact the retailer or the HP and apply...

    See you soon.

  • How can I transfer my Windows XP from one computer brand new without the CD it came with?

I'll buy a new hard drive for my computer and I want to put Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2007 and Adobe Acrobat on the new hard drive.  I have the product id for XP but not the product key or CD.  Can someone tell me how to proceed?

The product key for Windows is on the computer. However, don't do you much good if you don't have a way to install Windows. You must have the product key and installation for Office 2007, which is separated from Windows Media. You install Adobe Acrobat your media and product key, they sent you when you bought it.

  • Computer brand new-can't get it to wake you up

Just set up my new Windows7 HP.  Problem is when I leave for a little while he goes to sleep or hibernation (may not know which) and I can not wake him up.  I tried soft boot, hitting all the keys and I always close and start it again.  My manual does not at all on this subject.  Suggests just touch keys.  It does not try not to close the computer down a lot, but at this rate, I do it all the time.

    What Miss me?

CEDA, go to the control panel and adjust your power settings, especially as thay apply to how long the computer is located before hibernation.

In Control Panel > Power Options, on the left, click on "change when the computer sleeps."

Delete the hibernation of choice, to do nothing when you close the lid, etc.

I had the same problem with my ProBook s 4710, and as I've adjusted these properties, the problem disappeared.

    Good luck!

  • No noise at all - computer brand new

I just bought a new Dell desktop computer and I have no sound. Everything seems to be connected to the top as it should be. Volume is 100, but nothing. I tried to go online and diagnose a problem with Microsoft Fix It, but he said that nothing was wrong with my audio. I unplugged, replugged, in every place there is on the back and the front of the computer... I used different players I know work and still nothing.

There is no little red x saying that I don't have an audio output device installed. Even when I unplug my speakers, I get no little red x.

Maybe something wrong with my cpu or something...

  • Change HARD drive on a laptop computer brand new - is warranty still valid?

Just ordered a new HP envy 17-J008eo laptop for bikes.

I want to chage the harddrive provided on a SSD hard drive and now I wonder about the Finland HP warranty policy, Europe - should it be cancelled if I change the HARD drive? (planning on ordering extended 3 year warranty as well)

    Hello

According to my understanding, that you do not want to install SSD drive on the Unit came while the SDS disc is not covered by the HP warranty & if you need to service your unit, you may need to install the Orginal drive which as well as unity.

  • y at - it brand new software update for the windows developer

Director of Windows; There's a new software update that can be used for the filmmaker. If so, is it compatible with roxie creator or nero 9.

Windows Live Movie Maker?  Unfortunately - you're still running Windows XP.

With regard to compatibility with Roxio Creator (which version) or aHead Nero 9 - probably best to check with the manufacturer of each product.  I think 2.5 was released to the Media Center to Windows XP.  May not be the latest version - sure, it can be downloaded.  v2.0 may be the last actually supported under XP.
