Activated Windows not genuine, SFC/scannow fails

Hello

I use DELL Latitude and the windows 7 is installed at the factory.

It all started when...

2-3 weeks ago I noticed that my dialog box of Windows features on/off was empty. My updates were not running and MS Windows Essentials was also not corrupted. Maybe this happened after I connected a corrupted USB.

A registry entry connects to Windows features on / off did not open. "Access denied" I'm sorry that I forgot that we... It had something to do with loading the hive of COMPONENTS . Loading, it does not solve the problem, or perhaps I couldn't load it too.
So, I asked my friend, running Win7 genuine. He sent me his hive of COMPONENTS . I do not replace the old, I just loaded the new hive of desktop COMPONENTS . This helped. And I was able to enter in the registry tree, but was not able to find the entrance to what I was looking for. Somehow, Windows update has started to work, but I couldn't get Windows features box and nor, I could install Microsoft Essentials. There was error.
SFC/scannow always gave error "Windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation"

I do not, at least that update my windows was running again... So, I continued using my PC.

A week previously, Windows not genuine box began to appear. I tried to solve online. He asked me to download the file WindowsActivationUpdate.exe . I tried to install it, but he said: "this update is not applicable to your computer"

I tried 3 SLUI and entered the product key. It said "Windows Activation with success", but not authentic Windows error re-appeared next time that I'm logged in.

Any help?

How many days should I until windows is no longer available for use?

Thank you, Mr. Cornell.

He told me that the key is invalid and asked for the activation of the phone or another key...
I typed the same key and it worked. !!

No non-genuine message now.

should I start another thread on windows power features?

I run Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 on a desktop HP refurbed for over a year.  And now, as everyone (or what it seems), I get the pop-up Windows not genuine mandatory.  He started just as I was leaving for a trip of 6 days; I fired, but if have pop-ups.

    According to the update history:

KB3004394 has "successfully" installed on 10/12/14

KB3024777 has "successfully" installed on 12-12-14 (I left early this morning, back last night)

KB3004394 or KB3024777 appears in the updates installed (as I believe Microsoft intended)

  • Windows not genuine message on my desktop

    Original title: Windows not genuine

I got this computer since November 2009.  It came with Windows 7 Home Office preinstalled.  I paid $89.00 for a Windows upgrade Express upgrade to Windows 7 Premium.  All of a sudden, 03/13/11, it popped up on the lower right of my screen:
Windows 7 Build 7601 - this copy of Windows is not genuine.  I even checked for the new product key given me with the upgrade of $89.  Nothing works.  Why is happening out of the blue?  Another screen pops up saying you can be a victim of software counterfeiting.  To use all the features of MS Windows, IE. all the updates of Windows updates, download the latest updates, receive product support.  Your copy of Microsoft Windows must be validated as authentic.  I hope there, can someone help me with this.  Thank you very much

Hmmm, should be ok.  It looks like microsoft.

Are you located in one of the countries listed?

I hope that you have not shared this key with anyone. The key can only be used on a single computer.

I'm puzzled. go to the class forum that looks like the only way this will get sorted. Darin is the only one I know who has the tools to analyze your key. He works at microsoft. Also, I could be wrong on the error code.
A thought more: makes the button in the report match the anytime upgrade button, you received in your email?

  • Various problems of 64-bit Windows 7: Scheduler of tasks, computer do not close, sfc/scannow

    Hello

I have a Sony VAIO laptop, running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (Home Premium 64-bit upgrade) that I had several problems with in the past months. I am considering a factory reset, but I'd rather not if possible. A few months ago, I solved a problem with the message of Bad Pool Header but that seems to be fixed to come up with the BSOD.

Now, occasionally when turn off my computer it crashes, with the fan accelerates sometimes slow down then again randomly. Later (I'm sure) she gets a BSOD and then stops. I did not see coming, I see either the next day with a message like "your computer has stopped unexpectedly" or sometimes I held the power button after becoming impatient.

Then I read an article on reliability monitor and is interested in what might happen, but it had not been updated since September 2013. I looked up why this could happen and discovered that I had to check for it in Task Scheduler. When I open the Task Scheduler I got an error saying that "the selected task"{0}"no longer exists. To see the common tasks, click on refresh. "When I click OK another message pops up saying"Task Scheduler is not available... ". "but when I click OK it shows the first error again.

On another question on this Web site (error message: the selected task "{0}" no longer exists...) I read that I might need to delete some tasks that may be missing. I haven't lived a large part of the list in the Microsoft\Windows folder, but I found that, so far, applications experience and Bluetooth have tasks that create problems. I don't know if I want to just delete these because do not know if they are useful when you work or what they do.

The last problem is when I run the sfc/scannow command prompt with administrator privileges in, he is able to find problems on my hard drive but is unable to correct. I discovered a way to run SFC in the command prompt in Windows Startup Repair (where I learned how). I ran sfc/scannow damaged = f:-/offwindir = f:\windows (drive letter was different) and he didn't show any problems on the drive and has not set the disk problems.

Sorry for the issues. Just didn't know if it would be better to start these issues separately.

    Thank you

    Zac

    Hi Zac,

    Thanks for uploading the screenshots.

Connection for the different user account and check if the problem persists there. If it works fine in another user account, then the current account may be corrupted.

See this link to create a new user account and then copy files and settings old user profile to the new user profile

Response and let us know the status.

I had this problem, the problem is that you boot sector is screwed up.

You run BCDeditor and let it repair your start-up table or the MBR.

This is the cause. I went through the BIOS setting control, all correct.

My key was good.  When I replaced my portable hard drive to orginal for something faster

What happened to me, took me like a month to finally do the things.

Any change in your BCD boot table causes this error message

  • Build 7600-windows not genuine

    Hello

Bottom right of my screen, I have an error build 7600, this version of Windows is not genuine.
My version of Windows7 (Home premium) came with my laptop, so its perfectly legal. Appeard message a little more than a year after the acquisition.

    I tried several solution:
-type slui.exe 4 into the search bar in the start menu. I get an error message with the code 0xC0020012, unknown interface. The same thing happens when I type just slui.exe.
-Fast opening and type slui 0x03. This opens the Windows activation (I do not have a button to activate windows or type my product key when go right click computer on the start menu, and then select Properties. It is said: not available status and the product key is not available.). I can enter my product key, but after a while, I get an error message with code 0xC0000022, access denied.

-return from my laptop to an earlier date does not work. Error message: 0x800423F3. I tried to solve this by typing sfc/scannow in the command prompt and reboot my pc. After using sfc/scannow, it says that there are damaged files that cannot be repaired. Another forum told me that after 3 times the message is no longer, but I ran it 4 times and it still appears.
I do not have a gray screen as some people noted in other sections, but since the appearance of the error "HP support system" both of my bluetooth function declined. Yesterday, I had a lot of trouble while trying to install our new printer. I received a message that says I might be victim of Malware, or other harmful software. This message started to appear with the error message in the lower right. It has happened since April and I would really like to see what it solved...
I ran the tool of diagnosis of MGA, but when I type 'copy' to copy the report I get an error message: failed to create output files, hr = 0x800706b5. Please contact the support.
I'm willing to type the information that you need, but I don't know that I can put safely on the forum...
I hope you can help me,
    Greetings,
    Noppoh

This can result from the setting by mistake the folder System32 and its contents to the status of "read only".

    To correct this: -.

    Open Windows Explorer (computer)

    Browse to C:\Windows folder

Find the System32 subfolder and right-click on it

    Select Properties

Clear the "blob" in box "read-only (applies only to files in the folder)" by clicking on it until it is white.

    Click on apply.

Make sure the radio button for "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" is defined, and then click OK.

Accept the administrator command prompt. After a few seconds, you will be told there is an error - click on the button "ignore all".

Wait for it to finish - it might take a few minutes.

Out OK and exit Windows Explorer.

    Reboot twice

  • Problems with windows update, run sfc/scannow and boot into safe mode. (Vista Home Premium)

    Hi all

Please bear with me here that I try to explain all the questions I have with my computer right now. I'll try to explain everything that self-organization as possible, but if you need more information or file papers to provide a solution more precise, do it me know.

To start, I use a HP Pavilion dv6000 series (dv6748us to be exact) with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) installed. (Service pack 2). About 6 months ago I got this laptop from what I believe was the conflicker virus (kept forwarding pages, arrested updates and antivirus programs, etc.) and I managed to get Windows Update works again. My help and Support did not work well, it only worked in Mode without failure, so I did some research and tried a bunch of suggested corrections (update the registry, etc.) and got it work yet once again. I don't know if one of the tools that I used all by setting the Help & Support could have caused problems that I now (as I literally tried everything under the Sun until I got to work), but my Windows Update does not work properly again.

A few weeks ago, I installed some updates and restarted the computer, but updates did not finish install on reboot. He said the usual "Configuring Updates, do not turn off your computer", but never showed percentage complete or whatever it is. It restarted, and when I open Windows Update, he said the last time I checked the updates has never been (obviously not true), and when I tried to check the updates, it jumped right to the message telling me I have to restart my computer to complete the installation of updates. She continues to do everytime I open Windows Update. From time to time, I try to restart it, just to see if it will work, and he never does.

I spent hours trying all the solutions I could find in Google. I tried to run system update readiness tool, which seemed to run correctly (but does not solve the problem). I then tried the difficulty it for Windows Update, and it does not solve the problem. (It might be important for me to mention that I also have problems with the difficulty It Center itself, too. Individual tools like that for Windows Update is running, but the difficulty It Center program keeps giving me the error message that "a problem is preventing the troubleshooting tool to start.") I also tried to rename the pending.xml file, and then later I deleted it, after reading in another forum that you rename the file could cause system instabillity or something like that.

Unfortunately, I can't use system restore to solve all my problems, because all my previous restore points have disappeared (I don't know if the virus wiped out them, or if the computer removed on its own) but restore points only I checked are those that have been created recently, during the time I had these problems.

I tried running sfc/scannow nothing helped, as he continues to tell me that there is a pending repair, but repair pending never ends. I tried to use the command of /revertpendingactions of dism.exe/image:C\/cleanup-image in the command prompt of recovery center to stop it pending repairs, and that has not worked because it claims that dism.exe that does not exist / is not a valid command. No matter what I try, I can't have this pending repair or my updates to complete pending.

I tried to boot mode safe several times as well and he hung up on crcdisk.sys when starting every time.

Being that I can't use sfc/scannow, System Restore, or get into Safe Mode, I'm really lost as to what I should do next. I'm honestly not sure if the problems are related, but I just thought it would make sense to list them all in one place.

Please note that I don't want to re - install Windows Vista, or don't I think I need, because the computer works very well for most. (I use it for typing this right now). I had much rather bring all the features on mine, which I believe can be achieved with the help of the right person.

If someone could provide me with suggestions/solutions, it would be greatly appreciated! Certainly, it would relieve a lot of stress for me!

DISM is a thing of Windows 7. First test the hardware.

    Standard hardware troubleshooting

First to test we can the material. Material defects can appear as many software defects, that's why we need to test the material first...

Follow these steps in order. Defects of memory can cause disk corruption, disk failures can cause corruption of the disk. Damaged disc causes corrupted files (which SFC may be able to fix). If you get a stop error and after return. Do not run chkdsk with faulty memory.

    Diagnosis of memory
If you have not run a diagnosis of memory, please do. Click on Start - Control Panel - choose Classic view in the left pane - choose Administrative Tools - then memory diagnostic tool.

    S.M.A.R.T
Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

Disk in Windows drives monitor for impending failure. The function is called S.M.A.R.T. It detects an imminent failure, 30% of the time. In a type elevated command prompt (it's a single line)

WMIC PATH MSStorageDriver_FailurePredictStatus /namespace:\\root\wmi get active, predictfailure, reason List

If it is on will be true, otherwise on enable in the BIOS of the computer.

Predict the failure must be False if everything is ok.

In Vista and later if SMART failure predicted Windows prompts the user to run the backup.

    Run chkdsk
In computer all your drives right click and choose Properties, then the Tools tab, and then click check now. Check the TWO boxes and then start. Reset. This will take from one day to the next.

    SFC
Check the alteration of the file by clicking on Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

    sfc/scannow

    Heat
Heat can lead to problems of this kind, and sudden restarts without crashing. Make sure that your fans are not clogged with dust.

    For memory diagnostic results
Click on Start - Control Panel (and select Classic view in the left pane), select Administrative Tools and then Event Viewer , and then look in the event (Local) - Applications and Services - Microsoft - Windows - MemoryDiagnostic-results Viewer entered.

Look for EventID is 1201 or 1101 and Source is MemoryDiagnostic-results

Double-click the entry for more details on this entry.

    For results of Chkdsk

Click on Start - Control Panel (and select Classic view in the left pane) choose Administrative Tools and then Event Viewer , and then look at the Application and the System will connect (under Windows logs) for entries.

PS 7 and 55 are auto repair codes where windows repair disk errors silently on the fly. 52 is the SMART warning.

For the results of the SFC
Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

    findstr/c: "[SR] cannot" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log|more "

It will be able to see which files are corrupted.

    To see if there

    findstr/c: "[SR] repair" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log|more

There are often false positives for small text files that Windows uses like settings.ini and desktop.ini. Ignore these.
  • Windows not genuine Please Help

I'm having one similar error as the others with the same question. I get a message that my copy of windows is not genuine, but my product key is valid. I think it happened when one of my Raid drives has failed and installed another hard drive. I don't know if it's the source of the problem, but I think it might be.

Things that I have that might help:

Windows 7 Re install disc that came with the desktop computer

A product ID different on the sticker on my desk than what appears in Windows

I saw in another post that there is a way to diagnose the reason why the error occurs. Here is the paste of the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool.

    Any advice is welcome.

I had that happen on my laptop once too often, and it turned out that she had nothing to do with Windows authentication. It wasn't a Microsoft problem, but a problem of Intel. The idea is that you said that this occurred immediately after installing a new hard drive. If this new hard drive was over 1 TB, you must go on the Intel site and install the RAID Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) driver which is located at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23496&ProdId=2101&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%20 * & DownloadType =.

You can choose one of the two best (most recent).
If you have 64-bit, you must click on the top (one that says the name of the file: f6flpy-x 64.zip).

If you have 32 - bit, you would click on the second, (which says the name of the file: f6flpy-x 86.zip).

Once you install this driver, which should solve your problem.

Did this happen after the upgrade to Windows 7 service pack 1?

You can activate your copy by phone. Use the OEM Windows 7 key on the sticker on your PC microsoft.  Here is a link to the Microsoft product activation Solution Center.

  • PROTECTION OF FILES WINDOWS WITH THE SFC / SCANNOW

What I received for the initial mistake of the window File Protection:

uninstalled also 2 programs McAfee that had been installed earlier.

I did exactly what was suggested. I ran sfc / scannow using RUN with my running w SP2 cd, but as scannow was running, he kept asking:

Files that are required for Windows to run correctly must be copied into the DLL Cache.

Insert your Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 disc now.

    Choices: Retry more information Cancel

PROBLEM: Service Pack 3 has been a WINDOWS UPDATE DOWNLOAD.

    What should I do now?

Do not answer my own question, but that should I or can I just uninstall Service Pack 3, which was an update of Windows and then run sfc/scannow with my original cd.

and also I saw this posted.  Should I worry about the warning below?

    To uninstall SP3

    1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

    2. Click on Add / Remove Programs, click Windows XP Service Pack 3, and then click on remove.

    3. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

    Warning

If you choose to uninstall SP3, a dialog box displays a list of programs you installed after you installed the SP3. If you continue, it may be that these programs do not work correctly.

SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THIS WARNING? STEP BY STEP SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Do not uninstall the service pack 3.

Do not follow the instructions to use sfc/scannow.  99.999% of the time, it is a waste of time and will probably result just to generate accurate error you saw.

Are these error messages generated spontaneously or only when you run sfc/scannow?

Why do you run sfc/scannow in the first place?

If you receive these errors without running sfc/scannow, follow the instructions given by Jose Ibarra in your original post.  In other words, look in the event viewer and see what file is being complained about.  Display the names of files in your response.

"Slipstreaming" - that Jose correctly tells you to do so - is the process of combining a downloaded XP service pack 3 with your original XP SP2 CD to get service XP pack 3 CD - what sfc/scannow will like better.

You must have access to a CD burner.  All the necessary software can be obtained free of charge on the Internet.   If you have a CD burner, there are many sites with directions.  These are just two of them:
http://www.ZDNet.com/blog/hardware/creating-an-XP-SP3-slipstreamed-ISO-file/1848 (do the actual burning of the ISO file that is created by using ImgBurn)

  • Windows not genuine

I had my cell phone in a store, to get rid of a Trojan horse, and they back Windows on my laptop. Now my laptop is says my Windows is not genuine. How can I solve this problem? A they have not activated Windows for me when they fixed it?

    Hello

the problem is that normally with a reinstall it can come up like ' key already in use, etc. ", which is quite easy to solve by make you a phone call

When it's a "non-genuine" message straightout which is a concern because you don't know what the problem is on what they installed unless you run this diagnostic report that I put in the 1st response

but you paid a lot of money to make it fixed; make them do properly

    good luck with them

If you have the chance to let us know how you got

  • Windows not genuine, neither Microsoft nor the store that I bought, I have some help

    Hello

I have a hp desktop computer with Windows 7 pre-installed.

He started to say by saying that Windows is not genuine. I spoke to Microsoft and they said my product key (which is not on a sticker, but I got the computer) is an OEM manufacturer that has been blocked, and I need speaked to where I bought the pc since. So I talked to the shop and they said that Microsoft can do anything because they possess the rights and ive basically been bouncing between since then. I don't know what to do, my computer has since refused to connect to the Internet, despite picking up signals and rattling Web sites, but when I try to use a browser says there is a problem with the DNS and the computer does not have an IP address? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I already told you that that key you extracted is a complete red herring.  It's meaningless.  It is not a product key that can be used for activation.  These utilities for key recovery should really explain their limits - they can get a product key that has been entered manually and which does not apply to Windows pre-installed & so.

If there is no CoA sticker anywhere it has been removed.  Someone stole it to you.

A technical problem is causing your computer signal that it is not authentic to fix this technical problem should come first.  If you were able to solve the problem of internet connection and follow Gerry / suggestion of Christmas Paton on the Validation Code online cached then that would be your best solution.  Search this forum for the symptoms that prevents you to connect.  [If you think that something as simple as to reinstall the card driver LAN/WiFi could solve these problems]

Your only remaining option is to use restore factory has explained in the manual of the computer.  It doesn't have a product key to activate it, it activates.  This will overwrite all of your hard disk, so you'll need to backup all of your own files & Setup file downloaded on an external drive.  You will also find it useful to work your way around panel & each of your applications first to take notes the settings you have chosen in each of them - this can significantly reduce the resettlement effort.  You will also need to verify that you have a record of the product key for each of your applications to use during their relocation.  You will be horrified by how long it takes to get your computer to where it - while restoring factory takes less than an hour, working your way through reinstalling each application now and make all the settings to the top of the windows & each application can use up to several days.

Once you're back up & running, start making regular system images.  They allow you to go back in time on your computer.  If I were in your current location, for example, I could "restore" a picture of a couple of weeks before this technical problem appeared and I would be back in half an hour.  If you don't have a single hard drive then you might consider "Division" he behave as two disks so that you can separate the OS & applications for your data - this will reduce the size of the system images and the time it takes to make them.

    Hi Gerry

Sorry not been back but my lappy won't let me do anything, my browser kept just close after 30 seconds.

I took it to our local store and they said it's a common software problem and I needed to contact microsoft, I have on my PC got to them and with a link has managed to get in my lappy.

they were doing things for one hour to be fixed and made faster for me, apparently the keys change for different downloads, they found the product key was not something like the one I had.

So thank you for your help and advice
