  I want to activate my Creative Suite 5.5 software Student and Teacher Edition. I was a student when I get the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5. Standard design as a gift from my parents. • Issues running on Yosemite CS3 Creative Suite Design

  I have the Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium (CS3) until recently, I was completely unable to make it work on my Mac desktop running Yosemite (2009) 10.10.3 until what I downloaded Java. It worked for about three days until what I tried to open Illustrator / InDesign /Photoshop and I got the error message that says I should contact Adobe because of your activation code. I have the serial code for this creative Suite - but the problem is I bought a box version and I don't have the CD (I emigrated to New Zealand from the United Kingdom leaving - think I wouldn't need it)

  I read in a forum that I needed to uninstall and reinstall the programs but when I came to this it prompt you for the CD that I do not have access to. So, what can I do?

  Adobe stop the activation servers for CS2 and CS3 because of the devastation and pain among customers who BOUGHT CS2 and CS3!

  All of a sudden, I couldn't use Photoshop (CS2).

  The software says to activate it, even if it had been activated for years.

  Then I was told to call Adobe to activate it, and the message said no more activation by telephone.

  Then, I found a convoluted way to reactivate and stumbled through the steps, with problems along the way.

  There is no way to use my old CD.

  And I was just lucky that there was no urgent request of a client, when I needed to use Photoshop!

  NOTE: I HAD ALREADY LONG ACTIVATED PHOTOSHOP!

  WHY did I have to do it again?

  Adobe says they close their activation for CS2 servers.

  So, if this is the case, stop down and we let it be!

  There is no reason to require reactivation.

  I look at the serial number under your account and there has been no attempt since 2012 recent activation.  There are also additional activations available once the connection error has been resolved.

  I own a license for a Creative Suite Design Standard 5.5 which was installed on and old Mac.

  This mac blown up, so we bought a new one (El Capitan OS) and reinstalled CS 5.5 but we can not activate when we try we get an error like:

  The only real issue I've seen in El Capitan, which was specifically a problem known BONES was that placing old types of fonts directly in the folder/Library/Fonts /, or their activation in place with any font manager would not work. They had to be put into the folder of the user account or activated as a collected police policies. Which has been fixed in 10.11.3.

  Otherwise, I use most of the CC apps every day (primarily Photoshop). Everything works as expected.

  If you try to install CS5.5 you don't need to have CS4 installed, but you will need the serial number of the CS4 versions as the eligible version when you go to activate CS5.5.
