When I go to the title of Director of windows and add a video file in it, the video becomes a gray wavy line that is shaded by the bottom half of the video file and don't play it not.   Did you check if the problem occurs with another drive?

  This problem may be caused by audio\video filters present on the computer.

  Step 1: I suggest that disable you video filters and driver, to do this, follow these steps:

  Director of open windows,

  1. click on Toolsand then click Options.

  2. click on the compatibility tab.

  3. to turn off a filter, clear the check box next to the name of the video filter.

  Now, check if the problem is resolved.

  I had to do a project for school... actually TWO.   The audio settings by default in Windows Movie Maker is for the audio portion of imported video and any narration or music that you add to play at an equal level, but you can change that setting if it does not give you the balance that you want. To adjust the audio levels, follow these steps:

  (a) click Tools, and then click Audio levels.

  (b) do one of the following:

  to increase the level of audio on the Audio track that is part of a video clip, drag the slider toward Audio from video.

  II. to increase the level of audio that is located on the audio / music, drag the slider to Audio / Music.

  (c) click on close.

  Adjust the volume of each audio clip individually, as follows:

  1. on the track Audio or Audio / Music of the timeline, select the audio clip that you want to adjust the volume.
