Add commas to the huge list of numbers? CS4

Hello, all,.

I currently have a huge brochure that I'm working, and I hope that there is a way to do this easily (or at least not to hand). I have thousands and thousands of many who need commas added to them (1 234 vs 1234). I can't change each number in the directory, because some are numbers of product that is not editable, but is it possible to change a selection?

Thanks in advance. My Google-fu is to miss it.

How about the following?

To find:

(\d) (\d{3}\D)

and replace with:

$1, $2

  • Add commas to financial numbers using GREP

    Hi all!

    Using InDesign CC for this. This is the type of financial numbers that I do business with - $79605.01 - with more than 4 k that I add commas 1 or 2 according to the number. Final result should look like this - $79,605.01-

    So far, use GREP I in the FIND WHAT box \$[.,\d]+ and he tries to find them.  What am I missing or unable to, is what to put in the CHANGE TO box. I tried to \1$, but it does not work.

    I have need FIND WHAT already because what I have works well. I just need the script so that it will add commas to the appropriate locations. Search Google gave me a lot of answers on how to 'find' the numbers, but missing of course in the Department of "set up".

    No a kind soul help?

    Steph

    Your GREP expression returns the integer, which is not helpful in this case. I'm not all that an expert in complex GREP, but I don't see a way to do this only once with a number of variable length, so if you have cases for 1 and 2 required commas, I think you need two expressions and they need run in the correct order.

    (First of all find \d(?=\d{6}\.\d) and change to $0, which will add the comma to millions, then find \d(?=\d{3}\.\d) and change to $0, to add the comma for thousands. These expressions only work if there is a decimal number

  • Whitelist for the installation of the grey list

    I tried to follow the instructions in the manual of the Apple server to add servers to the white list for not beeing grey listed, but I can't make it work.

    Followed the following steps:

    Add servers known to a whitelist

    When you create a whitelist, you list of servers that are known good servers.

    1. Create a text file:touch host-whitelist.txt
    2. Change the text file:vi host-whitelist.txt
    3. Add the following three lines, replacing the name on the third line with the name of the mail server you want to whitelist:
    4. mail:command = writeSettings
    5. mail:skipReadSettings = yes
    6. mail:configuration:postfix:host_whitelist:_array_index:0 = "goodMailServer"
    7. Load these settings in serveradmin:sudo serveradmin command < host-whitelist.txt

    The host file - whitelist.txt have I put in place since then multiply the servers like this:

    command: mail = writeSettings

    mail: skipReadSettings = yes

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:0 = 'Server1 '.

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:1 = 'Server2 '.

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:2 = 'server' 3

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:3 = 'server' 4

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:4 = 'Server5 '.

    When I execute thesudo serveradmin command < host-whitelist.txt do I get the following error:  command must be of the form 'serveradmin command service:command = command_name'

    Do I did wrong here?

    Certainly, you have an error in your command line entry, or host - whitelist.txt is empty.

  • Add address of the sender to the address book using filtaquilla?

    When the sender is not in the address book, I want to give the user an option to add it. Is this possible with filtaquilla?

    There is a filter action, provided by FiltaQuilla, to "Add sender to the address list", and among all the proposed locations, your address books are included.

    But I see no way easy to offer the user a dialog to allow him to choose or not to do. Perhaps a javascript maven could do something here.

    Any sender can easily be added to the address book by clicking on its name/address in the header of the received message. Maybe you can use a filter just to highlight the messages from unknown senders in order to prompt the user to consider adding to their address book. Or you can create a saved search to collect such messages. Then, their mere presence in this saved search folder would indicate their status is unknown.

  • continuous numbering from the previous list

    Is there a way in Pages for iOS to have the numbering of a list "continue to precedent", as it is possible in Pages for Mac 5.6?

    Not as such, but there is a workaround. If you type the complete list (or well enough to reach the point where you want to insert something else), it will allow you to continue.

    for example

    1. an element

    2. two elements

    3. the points

    4 etc.

    Place the insertion point ('Cursor') at the end of the third line, strip back twice and you will get a space with the numbering and the possibility to add an additional text or elements and have continuous numbering. Not perfect, but it is not quite as convoluted as it and it does not work.

  • Hide the number in a numbered list (or to put on its own line)

    I am writing a document with headers that are numbered and come from the four levels of depth. There are six cases of the title of level 1. I would like to format it as a number with two digits (e.g. 01), then a horizontal rule, then the header text.

    I imagine that there are two options:

    1. Insert a new line somehow between the number and the heading text, and then apply a rule and shift so it lies between the number and the text. The problems I meet here are that I can't seem to add a new line between the number and the text and that when I change the format of the number 01, 02, etc, it also changes for level 2 headers (which I don't).
    2. Hide the number on the list, and then add the number as text and the appropriate format. The problem I have here, is that when I change the paragraph style (bullets and numbers-> Style of numbering-> number of virgins, it messes up my level two lists later (all first everyone start correctly with 1 (1.1, 1.2, etc.), but those in sections 2-6, all start with 0 and do not reset properly (which should be 2.1 is 0.6 after the end of article 1 to 1.5).))

    In the end, I want to see something like:

    I came with two possible approaches.

    First is to create the paragraph style title with a rule above and set the vertical offset to move under the first line and set the column width and add dashes left and right to refine the rule. You need to add the line breeze then manually or using find/replace to force the text to the line under the number.

    Better, in my view, is to set up the position that the two paragraphs, the first vacuum, but established the list of numbers with the following style set to a paragraph style that you use for the title of chaperones itself and which in turn the value style following the level 2 header. Together as the two first styles aligned Center and do something similar to above the rule, but I would use the following rule in this case.

    For a numbers level, you want to add the 0 in front of the marker number indicates rather than as part of the style number (this will only work if you have topics 9 or less) but the removal of level 2 and low styles, and for level 1, you must also remove any punctuation or white space after the number so the rating 0 ^ # only.

  • Custom values Format delimited by commas in the text as a bulleted list field?

    Hi all

    I have a text field in a Professional Acrobat 9.0 form, when the user enters a series of values separated by commas:

    A value of 1, the value 2, value 3...

    Is there a way to take these values and after the user has finished typing in the text field and deselected the text field, have the values to be displayed in a bulleted list, i.e.:

    < ul >

    < li > value 1 < /li >

    < li > value 2 < /li >

    < li > value 3 < /li >

    < /ul >

    I know it's pretty easy to do in other languages I know, but I do not know the JavaScript syntax. I guess I would need to put a script in the 'Script of custom Format"text field.

    Thank you!

    PS. In addition, it is important that when the user "re - selects" modifies the field to, who they see values as a string delimited by comma, instead of the updated list in shape. Just as the default behavior of a currency in the format of text... field when the user selects a currency field, Acrobat removes the dollar sign, etc., so that the user enters just the number without formatting and when they are done, Acrobat adds the name and commas, decimals, etc..

    You can do this by creating a script that launches after the new value is validated, and then you do the following (assume that the name of the field where you want the list is "txtfield"):

    MYLIST = "";
    myValue = event.value;
    mySplitValue = myValue.split(",");
    for (i = 0; i
    myList += ">"+ mySplitValue [i] + "\n"; '.
    }
    this.getField("txtfield").value = myList;

    (Note: this script is NOT tested)

  • Numbers with comma in the data Cube Viewer

    Hello

    I want to know what to do to display numbers with comma in the data Cube Viewer. The data type of the measure in the cube is NUMBER (4.3). The default aggregation is AVERAGE. When I load the cube with the numbers of the exactly NUMBER format (4.3) - in the data Cube Viewer I see only rounded integer values without decimal point.

    If I load the test instead of cube table - the numbers are loaded in the correct format.

    What should I do to load the cube with point numbers? Is this possible in OWB?

    Now, I decided to use a way to go around it - simply put 1453 instead of 1.453. Then it works (but this isn't a great solution). It is the only way?

    Thanks in advance for any help

    Peter

    Hi Peter

    The cube data viewer has a toolbar with a lot of options... formatting, you can add and remove the numbers after the decimal point. From memory, I think you have to select the cells you want, you can click and select all the cells in the table and then use the button Add digits after the decimal point.

    See you soon

    No sorry. The fastest method seems to be to go to settings > phone > blocked (or settings > Messages > blocked) and select the editing mode. You could make a suggestion to Apple that offer more options: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
