Add second disk to the Envy 17-j141na?

I just removed the back my new 17-j141na to see what size drive I needed to update and the space is there for a second drive.

Is it possible to buy the cable necessary for deposit in another drive, if so where would I get one from?

  • Boot from the second disk to the Envy 17

I just installed a second HARD drive in my new Envy 17 3270nr (hybrid). Since this new drive HARD is supposed to be faster than the original one, I want to have this new as my main drive (disk 0) and boot from it. I cloned the HARD original (disk 0) on the new disc (disc 1) and everything looks OK, when I open the Disk Manager, but in the configuration of the BIOS, it seems that I can't choose between disc to boot from, I can only switch between other external or internal devices boot order and internal hard drive. Would be very grateful for your advice!

It's real simple... you can't boot from a drive in the second. Without them.

  • HP Envy 750-197c Desktop: you can add a SSD internal flash disk to the envy of HP 750-197c Desktop

You can add an internal SSD to the envy of HP 750 - 197c Desktop that has a 2 TB drive installed?

    DMSIceman, welcome to the forum.

Yes, you can move the HARD disk and install an SSD.  You will need to buy at least a 128 GB SSD.  Here is the data sheet for the computer.

The best way to install an SSD is to leave the current HARD drive as it came from the factory.  Connect the SSD drive to another SATA port on the motherboard.  Install the software of Migration data provided by the SSD manufacturer on the HARD drive.  Once installed, open it and follow the instructions carefully.  You choose the SSD as a target.  After the data is transferred from the HDD to the SSD, you can disconnect the HARD drive and start the computer.  It should start on the SSD.  Then, you can disconnect the SSD to the first SATA connector and move to another Bay HARD drive and connect it to another SATA port on the motherboard.  You can use it for storage.

I like the SSD Samsung EVO.  Samsung offers its data Migration software to clone HARD drive.  In addition, they provide their software Wizard to optimize the performance of the SSD.  You can find all the software at the bottom of the page in the link I provided for the EVO.  The Samsung SSD were good about starting in HP computers without changing the BIOS settings.  You will need to buy an adapter to allow the reader to 2.5 "to fit into a 3.5 Bay".

  • Installation of a second disk in the Qosmio F30

    Hi guys and girls :)

I just bought the secondary hard drive for my Qosmio F30, but when I opened the drive Bay, I found that I have a problem with the installation of the drive on my hands.

First of all, I tried to put the new drive in the Bay and press down lightly to connect with power and data connectors sata and it works perfectly, but it is impossible to move the laptop around since the disc is a bit loose in the Bay and I'm worried a little for my data and the drive itself.

Then, I opened the first Bay and noticed that original Toshiba drive is kept in place with the help of some mount thin metal plate, which is set on the disk and the Bay with a few screws.

I checked the Web for any revision of the F30 model that might have pictures of the Bay secondary in his State and found a few. See the photos of the same thing Im. Check this one out, it clearly shows the high Bay (sata connectors are right and not visible):
    http://www.Ferra.ru/images/179/179520.jpg

Note a small screw hole on the left side of the Bay, clearly intended to fix the mounting plate similar with hdd secondary on the laptop. The plate which is, unfortunately, not included with my computer.

Did someone here had the same problem and if so, how to solve?

    Hello

As you have already said the HARD drive need a special framework that maintains the 2.5 HARD drive in the Bay.
This frame and the screws required, you can order directly from the authorized service provider who is responsible for your country.

I recommend talking to these guys here and explain what you need.

    Best regards

Just format the drive and make it ready for Windows to use.
Go to control panel-> administration-> computer management tools-> Storage-> disk management

Here you will find all the options necessary to make your second HARD drive in Windows.

  • CS3: D.W. move (add) second computer with the same settings as the old.

I'm getting a new computer and I would like to have a COPY of my website in Dreamweaver on both. I'm working on the new computer and the files on the old periodically update to use it as a backup. I have records of origin for Creative suite 3. I understand that I have set, install from the CD to my new computer, then move the Web site folder to the new computer. I read a little about saving settings, so I have an idea. My questions are: the FTP settings will be saved? (not sure I still know my server password.) And if I have two computers that can send via FTP on the server with the same site? Is it better for me to periodically copy the folder of the site of the old computer, or from the FTP Server site in Dreamweaver on your new computer? I have a clickfree backup I can use, or buy a memory stick (whatever it's called.) Does make sense. Want to just two computers to work in case of crash.

The first computer is Vista Home Premium, 32-bit, Dell XPS 420. about 3 years

New computer Windows 7, 64 bit, XPS

Sorry if I have not things clearly above. Thank you very much.

Any reason, I could not have 2 copies of D.W. with my site and use both to work on my site?

No, but it could be a recipe for confusion of version if you are not very careful to always download the files that you have finished work on them or not at the end of the day.  You might consider using checkin/checkout to avoid that.

  • I can't install the second disk sata hard

I have a problem when install the second disk sata hard
I bought a new one 500 GB and I installed windows xp sp3
and it works well I plugged in SATA 0 port
When I want to install a second sata hard disk 320 on sata 1
and it has an important data, windows will reboot, and do
    blue screen sometimes 'NTFS.sys"or"SCSIPORT.sys.
    and it is written "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".
If someone help me what should I do or there is no FIX for this problem.

in the BIOS I have regcognized both hard drivers:
    IDE pri master 500 GB
    PRI IDE slave 320
    Second master IDE-
    Second slave IDE-
    PORT SATA - 0
    SATA 1 - PORT

    I plugged the IDE 2 cd-rom

    ----------
    Specification of the device:
    Windows xp sp3
    card mother gigabyte 848P
    Intel ICH5
    Intel 8I848p775-g
    Celeron D Socket 775

You said that the hard drives are sata but your bios recognizes them as IDE depending on your position. You might have to set your bios to operate in sata mode or enable AHCI of have recognized them as sata. Regarding the error you get, look in the system BIOS to boot from hard disk command menu. This is different from the command menu of usual starting where you choose each time you start a cd ROM or hard drive ect... The parameter that I refer to determine which hard drive of your computer starts on the first. Change to the primary master 500 GB disk > save your settings and restart your computer. Even if one is defined as main and the other slave is not serious. Some bios have the ability to choose what hard drive to boot from. In other words, it is adjustable to start first on the slave drive.

    Hello

Recently upgraded to SSD as HDD1 in my notebook using cable sheet etc. of 'newmodeUS '.

All the stable and works well, so I installed a second HDD (which I know works well) but the laptop does not see.

I even installed the drive HARD original as HDD2 but same problem

I cannot find any relevant info on diagnosing this problem, but I was wondering if this model (jump movement) may have a second internal HDD

I don't see anything in the BIOS on this topic

A point to note is that I had to remove a plate of maetal that was installed in the drive Bay HDD2 - possible is not designed to accept?

    Thank you

Following my last, next time I checked the disk Dirves in Device Manager, there was my Toshiba 1 TB as well as the SSD.

Quick format in humans of disc and it is in place and works very well!

Not too sure what happened here, I left the disks with the cables 'Swapped' in place and just to prove that everything is OK I swapped the cables back again an everything is OK (the original cable is now in HDD1 port with the SSD and the NewmodeUS cable is HDD2 port with the other disk from Toshiba.

So now I can use my 1 TB of extra storage as well as storage faster SSD - Hallelujah!

I also always the player original HGST I cloned the SSD at and could use again if the SSD fails or corrupt.

    original title: video editing

When im trying to add a family film about the Director of windows it is not not all there, he's going for about 20 seconds, then on the next image. How can I see the video in its entirety, but long, so I can change it to what I want?

What is the extension of the home movie file?

Windows Movie Maker doesn't accept the formats of files (extensions) following:

Video files: ".asf", ".avi", ".dvr-ms", ".m1v", ".mp2", ".mp2v", ".mpe", ".mpeg", ".mpg", ".mpv2", '.wm' and '.wmv '.

    * Extennsion file or the file format is represented by the last 3 letters of the file.

If the file format of your home theater is not on the list above, google for a FREE video converter and a change in WMV format. Then re - import to Movie maker.

WMV is the most reliable and foolproof format for Windows.

I asked this question but my way of asking was wrong, that's why for me once again.

    Concerning

    Try to follow these steps:

    1. in the database table to add the new column "JOIN_COLUMN" and add the new sequence "JOIN_SEQ".

    2. Add this new column in the entity object. (You can add this in entity object by right clicking on the entity object and then select "Synchronize with database" then the new column and press on sync)

    3. in your bookmark create button to create only one line NOT 2 rows.

4 - Open the object entity--> java--> java class--> on the entity object class generate and Tick tick on the accessors and methods of data manipulation

5 - Open the generated class to EntityImpl and go to the doDML method and write this code

protected void doDML(int operation, TransactionEvent e)
      {
        if(operation == DML_INSERT)

  • [CARS] Add the new disk in the database running environment

    Hi all

I want to ask a question about oracle RAC especially to add a new disk.

Here's the situation for existing oracle RAC

    1. There is 1 oracle clusterware (CRS), ASM and 2 node RAC

    2. There is a demand to add a new disk to existing diskgroup

    3. all CRS, ASM and RAC is in the online state

I read document oracle (How to add a new disc to year Diskgroup existing RAC Cluster or stand-alone Configuration of ASM (Best Practices).) (Doc ID 557348.1()

    My question is,

    1. that I should stop the database, ASM and CRS when add a new disk to existing diskgroup?

    2. are there steps that has already been proven to add a new disk in an operational environment?

    Thank you

    Adrian

    My question is,

    1. that I should stop the database, ASM and CRS when add a new disk to existing diskgroup?

No, you need not bring down the ASM or DB

    2. are there steps that has already been proven to add a new disk in an operational environment?

Yes, you can add the disk, ASM automatically rebalance and share the workload on the new disk.
