Add SX20 in TMSPE
Hi all
TMS version is 1.4 TMSPE, SX20 is 7.2.1 and X8.2.2 VCS 14.6.2,
I want to manage/configure a SX20 existing via the provision of TMS. The SX20 is already configured; recorded at the VCSC and is added to the MSDS.
In the TMS, I created a new group "SX20" under systems > Provisioning > users. I also created a user in this group.
I also downloaded the xml schema corresponding to the version of the SX20 (7.2.1) software and created a model. It has been associated with the user I created.
The VCSC, I can see the new user, the Group SX20 and the new model.
Then I configured the SX20 for commissioning. I put:
connectivity = Auto
httpMethod = Get
LoginName = username (created in the new user group SX20 TMSPE)
Mode = TMS
Password = password (created in TMSPE for new user in the SX20 group)
ExternalManager
address: IP TMS
Domain = video.domain.com (the Sip domain name)
Path = tms/public/external/management/systemmanagementservice.asmx
Protocol = HTTP
So the question is what I'm missing?
-I do not see the SX20 currency associated with the new user, I created while there sign up for VCS.
-If I associated with the new user, a Jabber client model and connect with the Jabber sw with this new user it works (I can register and get authenticated)
-When I check in the State of the SX20 system under > provisioning. I can see the TMS and the State put into service = ip address.
Is it possible to define a system of video under supply if it is already configured and added to the MSDS?
If you have a process of providing clear step by step please share it. Thank you.
Ahmed
You must configure the SX20 for himself a provision of the VCS and TMS no, here is the settings and that you must configure:
- Method of preparation: VCS
- Provisioning LoginName: User name of the account TMSPE
- Commissioning of password: password of the account TMSPE
- Provisioning ExternalManager address: VCS IP/domain FULL name
- ExternalManager scope of supply: SIP Domain
If you have added the SX20 in TMS as a managed endpoint, you must also do one of the following:
- Go into the settings of the SX20 in TMS and check the box "configured".
- Purge the TMS SX20 is is no longer a TMS managed end point.
To define the SX20 as provisioned or purge of TMS, is to ensure it's configuration is not get overridden by TMS, because he is no longer will manage the end point, because TMSPE will be and not TMS.

How to add the release key to SX20 TC7.1.0
After upgrading to TC7.1.0.48db3d2 SX20 had misdiagnosed:
REVIEW: Valid unlock key
Missing the key release for undefined. The system will not be able to make all the calls. Please Add a unlock key valid. But canned-> software update, I might add only the Option, NOT the release key key
How can I add * key to liberation?
Hello
you need would not release key for the upgrade over version 6.3 TC.
Adding release key tab on GUI is removed for the same.
However, you always have the option to add it via API, you can use below command:
xcommand SystemUnit ReleaseKey add:

Cannot add the conductor on the model of CMR TMSPE
We strive to set up video-conference planning. Conductor and vTS are already integrated. Conductor is also integrated through the trunk SIP CUCM, for both ad hoc and permanent meeting. We were able to add the conductor on TMS as a device and TMSPE CMR model. But when we turn on HTTPS and signed a driver's certificate, unable to connect the driver TMSPE. We tried to create, sign and load the certificate for TMS, but still not able to connect. I hope you can help us. TMS is running on license eval. Conductor is essential and STM have 5 licenses of the screen. I've seen some answers on a few forums about Java version used with TMSPE.
15.2.1 TMS
TMSPE 1.7
Update Java 8 102
Conductor XC 4.2
4.3.1.14 vTS
Have you enabled 4096-bit encryption on the server where it is installed TMSPE by doing the required Java software changes indicated in the Notes of version 1.7 TMSPE? If you do not, TMSPE will not be able to communicate to the driver.
You mention that you are trying to set up a schedule with TMS and conductor, generated TMSPE CMRS are not able to be used for planning. To set up planning, you need to configure Conference models/alias etc. on driver as well as in TMS, refer to the 'Conference on-demand management' section of the CMR premises Deployment Guide Release 7.0 - primary (for Unified CM) on pg 41.

Hello
I'm having a problem with a SX20 device that keeps the subject of unwelcome h323 calls, no IP address appears and it just says: "cisco". We received more than 100 of these calls. As a work around, I blocked all the h323 on the firewall and permitted in a few IP of known addresses we use.
I tried to look in the logs of the SX20 to see if I could find the address called IP that was spam so I could block but I couldn't find something useful in there. Is there a better way all about that now I need to manually add an IP address on the firewall, whenever they want to compose a new person?
Thank you
Hello!
Yes, I noticed that in the newspapers of VCS as well.
Before the common analyses were on sip/5060/udp.
The same question that you might have in SIP is expoded to the public, in particular the udp port, but there are also scanning on tcp and at some point there will be TLS as well.
Its like spam, spammers adopt.
For now, I would say that, as you did to put behind a firewall and not allow that you really want to have disclosure of sources with (which might not be ideal or even possible) or use a call control as vcs or cucm + highway from the outset.
If you have your firewall from the outset, you can log the ip addresses trying to do h323 and sip connections, you can try to block. But its also while playing hide and seek, there is no common ips used for scanning, and anyway, you don't know where they scan from, often compromised systems are used for these scans.
Some firewalls have features of geo - ip, which you could block the continents / countries / regions that you do not contact.
In any case, consider using a call control and admission control there.

Hello
I have the (unlicensed multisite) SX20, SX10, DX80 and JABBER for iphone Registred on CUCM and IM & presence,
I tried to make a video call with Jabber, then I added the second participant DX80 with voice only, but when I try to add the third participant SX10 with voice only to the Conference call has failed.
You can't, not without the MS license installed.
The SX20 allows adding an audio call when, in a videoconference to point without the MS license .
It does not allow two audio calls. So, if you connect to video point, you can add an audio call.
If you connect to audio point, you cannot add a second audio-only call. It is a hardware limitation, not software.

Automatically add the MCU recorded lectures
Hi all
When you create a conference call between and endpoint and a registration server, the MCU should be automatically added to these conferences. At present, the MCU will only add itself when the particular codec models are currently in use.
for example
Click new conference, add ONE of the following, codec models
1700MXP770mxp880MXPEdge 95MXP3000MXPAdd TCS registration server and it WORKS, the MCU is automatically added. This allows us to customize the page layout (we generally to mute the video of the CSTC). See green arrow in the attached jpeg.
Repeat the process on any of these models.
C40SX80SX20C20EX60Polycom HDX 8000 HD6000MXPNow, it fails. The MCU not will automatically itself add to the Conference. See the red arrow in the attached jpg.
Any ideas? The only thing that I know so far is that its broad base of model of endpoint. I have searched on the parameters of MCU, MSDS etc but can't find anything related to this at all.
Thank you very much
Rhys
Don't know why the MCU is automatically added for some endpoints and not others without knowing more about the configuration keys and the option on the endpoints.
If you want the MCU to always add to scheduled conferences, you must set the following options under administrative tools > Configuration > conference settings:
- External MCU use in routing: always
- MCU route Type preferred: Cisco TelePresence MCU
The configuration of this setting is the only way to ensure an MCU is always included, please note that this is a system wide setting and will affect all scheduled conferences regardless of the number of participants and who they are. If you wish, you can also set the first option above 'Always, except for point to point', which will allow you to choose when the SCM must be used if you have rather a choice between point-to-point and multipoint calls using the MCU.

Reached the maximum of SX20 codec calls once an audio call is connected?
Hi all
I have different SX20 devices deployed on our corporate network that are currently on the same version of software: TC 7.2.1.
For some strange reason that a device does not have a second call (audio) to be placed and added after it has established the first video call?
Everyone knows this?
In the State of the system it says the MaxNumberOfActiveCalls = 1 where, as my other systems SX20 say MaxNumberOfActiveCalls = 2?
I have attached a picture of the number experienced in the tab "call control".
Thank you
Brad
The SX20 has the Multisite Option? Check under the Home tab.
If no Multisite option installed, adding another call for multipoint call will make the second audio call to become involved only and this is a normal behavior. You mentioned that you cannot add another call (audio), is the system put into service and recorded the CUCM?
Check also under Configuration > System Configuration > conferences what Multipoint mode:
Kind regards

Looking at the new version of TMSPE, have a few questions:
- I take it in the note accompanying or documentation, but it seems you can add is without model or version without configuration parameters... in other words, under TMS Agent I could specify a URI to the top-level group phone book server and leave the model/version not specified, and all models and versions of capable endpoints would receive the setting... I had to set it up in one place. It seems now I need to provide at least she (even if simply copying) once for each model. Is this correct?
- How does the management of versions? If a video Jabber 4.4 client connects, but there is no model Movi 4.4 applied, should I use the closest lower level model? This seems to be the case, but wanted to confirm. I don't think he behaved this way according to the model of the Agent of TMS, but not sure.
- No user level more substitutes! Any chance this could make in the product?
Hi, Frédéric
Sorry, I noticed that what I wrote here is false. It is the opposite of what I said and I'm sorry for the mistake. You can use the client 4.4 jabber using the 4.3 model, but the 4.3 client cannot use the model of 4.4. This is how it works.
So basically, you can have model 4.2 and 4.4 model. Then you can connect with 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4, but not 4.1 for example.
Again sorry for the misleading information.

Hello
I bought the SX20 and installed, I want to activate Web snapshot. He asked the RemoteMonitoring option button.
How do I get it. require a permit?
Running Version: TC7.3.4.e4daf54
That is right. What was a free feature is now paid for the option (since January 1, 2016). This has supposedly been implemented to solve the problems of 'private life' that may be present in some places and forcing you to buy and add the key option for your devices to enable the feature can absolve Cisco from liability for any breach of privacy caused by the use of their product. There was a bit of discussion around websnapshot functionality and the addition of the 'monitoring Option remote key', take a look at some of these discussions for example:

Number Maximum TMSPE - Jabber Video - users?
Hi guys,.
(new installation)
I have a client who seeks to use AD to add users to Jabber/Movi. They will use the TMSPE. They think the deployment of about 10,000 users. Does anyone know what is the maximum number of accounts Jabber?
What hardware/software needed for the server SQL and MSDS?
Thank you
Robert
Hello
This is all mentioned in the TMSPE deployment guide.
"Would the VCS to exceed the limits of internal table.
A cluster of Cisco VCS of any size supports the import of:
10,000 users for the provision of
10,000 accounts FindMe
200,000 admissions in the directory
1 VCS can support the 10,000 users imported, but you can save 2500 of them, unless you have a group of several VCS to coat with multiple records.
Total TMSPE can support up to 100,000 users, but to be able to record all these users at the same time, it takes a minimum of 40 of VCS.

OK Please help... CISCO began...
The EX and C series upgrade procedure is so easy... Add version key and then you spend...
I thought I was going to be a good guy and accesses the SX Series... 'ERROR'... we order and pay for a kit SX20 and install and start it and low and behold... NO INSTALLED RELEASE KEY.
Then I go to the site of CISCO license and get what I believe to be a key. Open a browser and 'NO PLACE TO add THE KEY'...
HHHEELLLPP!
I'm a fool cause I can't find the place to add the key to unlock for TC7.3.1...
Where is TANDBERG... :(
YEP FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY...
Thank you.
Watching the SX20 Admin Guide on pg 49, starting with TC7, they removed the option key to liberation from the web interface. I guess because they have changed the way unblocking keys work after TC6.1, that they did not see the need to maintain the option in the web interface, because netering a key to unlocking to make software updates is now irrelevant. You can always use SSH to enter the key to unblocking if.
xCommand SystemUnit ReleaseKey Add Key

Hello
I have 8.6.2.21900 - 5 CUCM, and I installed cmterm - s52010tc7_0_1.cop.sgn to save my sx20 on the CUCM, but after installation and restart the CUCM; I have not found again the phone type sx20 in the menu drop-down, as shown in the attached photo.
So, what else can we do to register my sx20 on the CUCM.
That looks like you don't have enough privileges assigned to your CCO account to allow you to download this file. You will need more detailed rights to recover this file - you can try to add details of your service contract to your account of EAC with the Profile Manager.

Cisco SX20 - cannot access web interface after factory reset
Hi guys,.
I just did a factory reset on my SX20,
and now I can't access the web interface, I need to add the key to release
Basically I can't configure the IP addresses directly through the Executive Director of unity
I need to add the release key and access to any interface
Help, please!SX20 Cisco TC6.3.0
You can access the settings locally using the remote?
If so, you should be able the enable http as well as the fixed IP address using the remote control.
The factory reset should have change setting IP DHCP, so if it has a network connection, this IP address must be included in the top of the page, to the left of the screen.

SX20, MX300 and Cisco C90 multisite functionality
Hi all
Someone has information on how to Install Licenses Multisite L-C90-MS, LIC-MX300-MS and MS-SX20-LIC? These is installed directly in the codec? what procedure?
Thank you very much!!
Mario,
This is the option buttons that you add directly to the codec. Just go to maintenance > upgrade and paste the option key pressed in the key field of the option. This usually requires a restart when completed.
