Add the node to the clusterware existing

Last week I needed to add a node to an existin WHAT CARS and finally I did, but I'm confused because the documentation talking about both procedures:

1 - cloning the Oracle ClusterWare and Oracle Database

2 - addNode.sh script

Could you please explain me who are the different between these two methods?

Exactly how does one or the other?

Thank you in advance.

Hello

1 - cloning the Oracle ClusterWare and Oracle Database

This means to clone your RAC environment. You have a CCR environment and you want to create another, you can clone this CAR to build a new one.

addNode.sh script

This method is used to add a node in a RAC (there is no other CARS in question here). In this case, you can tell that clusterware and House of database is copied into the new node coming in this CAR, but this is different from cloning, which involves the creation of a new CARS together.

  • Add the already existing Word variation entry in the index

    Dear common wisdom:

    Hello!

    I got a clue and want to add a variation of a word already in the index and that InDesign can use these two words in the index listing, not as a list of void.

    For simplicity, say that I was the forms of the singular and the plural of the word stand together under the same heading.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you!

    The index entry that you insert in the dialog box is one that gets listed in the final. If you have 'index' and 'clues' and you add the entry to the 'clues', ID displays the dialog box, add an entry to this word. Change to 'index', and ID which will be used instead.

    (In fact, the word selected or the expression in the dialog box is simply a practical method. You can also change the text of 'wow' - ee, to have that appear in the index. ('Enter' has nothing to do with the 'real' text in your document - which is kind of pain if make you corrections and wait for the index to follow automatically.)

  • Add the xmltype attribute node

    How can I add an attribute node to xml in an xmltype?
    Say that I
    declare
      t_xml xmltype;
    begin
      t_xml := xmltype( '<x a="1"/>' );
    end;
    How can I manipulate this variable t_xml become
    <x a="1" b="2"/>
    Anton

    Depends on the version.

    Before 11.2.0.3:

    SQL> with t as (  select xmltype('') as t_xml from dual )
      2  select insertchildxml(
      3           t_xml
      4         , '/x'
      5         , '@b'
      6         , '2'
      7         )
      8  from t;

    INSERTCHILDXML(T_XML,'/X','@B'
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    On 11.2.0.3, by using XQuery Update:

    select /*+ no_xml_query_rewrite */
           xmlquery(
            'copy $d := .
             modify ( insert node attribute b {$val} into $d/x )
             return $d'
            passing t_xml
                  , '2' as "val"
            returning content
           )
    into t_xml
    from dual
    ;

    (not tested, but should be close)

    Hello

    You can cancel the configuration performed by root.sh using the following:

    /U01/app/11.2.0/grid/CRS/install/rootcrs.pl - deconfig-force

    Thus, after the above command, you can perform the root.sh again.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

    You cannot give this information directly at the start of clusterware.
    This option is to disable the resources, you do not want to start before running the node.
    Note: You can do it from another node, to disable the startup on the node that you want to start:

    In general, you can do this with
    Disable srvctl $

    The correct syntax depends on the type of management you used.
    Managed political use of databases:

    srvctl disable the d - n database

    Administrator management databases:

    srvctl disable instance d -i "".

  • Oracle BPEL 2.0 - add the child node

    Hi guys,.

    SOA 11.1.1.7, BPEL 2.0

    I have a child screaming master BPEL BPEL flow flow in a ForEach loop.

    I have part of the answer like this:

    < caseResponses >

    < caseResponse >... < / caseResponse >

    < caseResponse >... < / caseResponse >

    < / caseResponses >

    CaseResponse items come from child BPEL flows.

    I'm trying to add each of these elements in the element parent < caseResponses > but when running I get "The Exception is thrown because the in-specs on the 112 line are assessed to be empty," where the line 112 is the line append.

    My code is:

    < assign the name = "AppendToResponse" >

    < extensionAssignOperation >

    < bpelx: Add >

    < bpelx: go > $InvokeHandleSingleCarglassCase_process_OutputVariable.payload / ns1:caseResponse < / bpelx: go >

    < bpelx: to > $outputVariable.payload / client: caseResponses < / bpelx: to >

    < / bpelx: Add >

    < / extensionAssignOperation >

    < / assign >

    If I add a copy - just like a test rule-

    < assign the name = "AppendToResponse" >

    < copy >

    < a > $InvokeHandleSingleCarglassCase_process_OutputVariable.payload / ns1:caseResponse < / from >

    < to > $outputVariable.payload/client:caseResponses/client:caseResponse < /pour >

    < / copy >

    < extensionAssignOperation >

    < bpelx: Add >

    < bpelx: go > $InvokeHandleSingleCarglassCase_process_OutputVariable.payload / ns1:caseResponse < / bpelx: go >

    < bpelx: to > $outputVariable.payload / client: caseResponses < / bpelx: to >

    < / bpelx: Add >

    < / extensionAssignOperation >

    < / assign >

    I works as expected: all caseResponse items are added and there is also one more copy activity.

    What can I do so that I don't get the "The Exception is thrown because the in-specs on the 112 line are assessed to be empty" exception without copy assign?

    Thank you!

    By the way

    Rather than add it, you can use the copy, but instead of the normal copy you must change the code a bit to something like:

    $InvokeHandleSingleCarglassCase_process_OutputVariable.payload / ns1:caseResponse

    $outputVariable.payload / client: caseResponses[$ForEachCounter]/ client: caseResponse

    If you add the counter and checks that I wrote in the previous answer basically it will create a node at position x (x being the value of the counter) and the copy of your result

"  I am at a loss on what to do for the top node because there is no node Parent above this level, but the settings ask him.  I have reviewed the manual and the manual of admin, but did not help.  Can someone help me?

    Thank you!

    You have the answer with you, do not be confused between the Parent node and the top node context, when adding a new node, the node of your Top will become your Parent node.

    ' Add | Version | Hierarchy | Node | Parent Node. Property of the worksheet.

    If you're still confused, just do the following.

    1. right click on the node of your top and add a new worksheet or node branch manually

    2. Once added, go back to the homepage-> Script

    3. Select the Type of Source in the paper transactions, and then select the newly added node and load

    4. in the lower part select Script-> download-> Download Action Script.

    5. open in a Notepad and use to create your new script.

    No,

    It is the reverse:

    A table can be stored as a segment of memory (the common way) or in a cluster.

    Will not be part of the table "in the cluster", but other parts outside.

    Please create a new table in the cluster and insert your data here.

  • How do to activate 'VAPP Options' on an existing virtual machine, and then add the properties that will be passed down through the OVF - ENV. XML

    I'm trying to understand vSphere PowerCLI how to activate the "Options of VAPP" on an exsiting VM (in this case a model freshly cloned) then add properties and select cdrom of the FVO data access such as when the virtual machine is running the FVO - env.xml contains the properties in the CD-ROM drive.

    If I use the vSphere client and open the virtual machine settings and click on the tab 'Options' and then select "Options of VAPP" and change the setting to "Enabled" and then select 'VAPP-> Advanced Options' and click on the button 'Properties' on the right, I can add the properties and then I can change them vsphere PowerCLI, but given that these actions are not retained if I clone the virtual machine I need a way to put these in place of vSphere PowerCLI without using the vSphere client to do.

    Thanks in advance for the help!

    You can use the vSphere API to activate the 'Options of VAPP"on an existing virtual machine, and set properties. For example:

    $spec = new-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualMachineConfigSpec

    $spec.vAppConfig = new-Object VMware.Vim.VmConfigSpec

    $spec.vAppConfig.property = new-Object VMware.Vim.VAppPropertySpec [] (1)

    $spec.vAppConfig.property [0] = new-Object VMware.Vim.VAppPropertySpec

    $spec.vAppConfig.property [0] .operation = 'Add '.

    $spec.vAppConfig.property [0] = new-Object VMware.Vim.VAppPropertyInfo .info

    $spec.vAppConfig.property [0].info.key = 0

    $spec.vAppConfig.property [0].info.classId = "Property1ClassID".

    $spec.vAppConfig.property [0].info.instanceId = "Property1InstanceID".

    $spec.vAppConfig.property [0].info.id = "Property_1.

  • Add multiple nodes of the same name from one xml into another

    Hello

    Following my question the other day (adding several nodes of different one xmltype in the other), I now need a bit more complex that I can't work on where to begin, assuming that it is something that can reuse some/all the quote from yesterday (thank you once again, odie_63!). ETA: I'm on 11.2.0.3

    So, here's the (slightly modified) xml with the solution of yesterday:

    with sample_data as (select xmltype ("< root >

    < xmlnode >

    val1 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    val2 < subnode2 > < / subnode2 >

    < / xmlnode >

    < xmlnode >

    val3 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    < subnode2 > val4 < / subnode2 >

    < / xmlnode >

    < / root >') xml_to_update,.

    XmlType ("< a >

    < b > < /b > valb

    valc < c >/< c >

    < d >

    vald1 < d1 > < / d1 >

    < d2 > vald2 < / d2 >

    / < d: >

    Vale of < e > < /e >

    valf < f > < /f >

    < g >

    valg1 < g1 > < / g1 >

    valg2 < g2 > < / g2 >

    / < g >

    < h >

    valh1 < h1 > < / h1 >

    valh2 < h2 > < / h2 >

    < HR >

    < volume >

    < name > fred < / name >

    < type > book < / type >

    Head of <>1 < / head >

    < / multi-user >

    < volume >

    Bob < name > < / name >

    car of < type > < / type >

    < head > 0 < / head >

    < / multi-user >

    ( < /a >') xml_to_extract_from

    the double)

    Select xmlserialize (document

    XMLQUERY)

    ' copy $d: = $old

    Edit)

    Insert the node element extrainfo {}

    $ new/a/b

    , $ new/a.

    , $ new/e/f

    , $/ a/h new

    } as the first in $d / root

    )

    return $from

    by passing sd.xml_to_update as "old."

    , sd.xml_to_extract_from as 'new '.

    contents of return

    )

    dash

    )

    of sample_data sd;

    It gives me:

    < root >

    < InfosSuppl >

    < b > < /b > valb

    < d >

    vald1 < d1 > < / d1 >

    < d2 > vald2 < / d2 >

    / < d: >

    valf < f > < /f >

    < h >

    valh1 < h1 > < / h1 >

    valh2 < h2 > < / h2 >

    < HR >

    < / extrainfo >

    < xmlnode >

    val1 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    val2 < subnode2 > < / subnode2 >

    < / xmlnode >

    < xmlnode >

    val3 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    < subnode2 > val4 < / subnode2 >

    < / xmlnode >

    < / root >

    However, I now need to add new nodes according to the information provided by the < volume > something like nodes in a set:

    < root >

    < InfosSuppl >

    < b > < /b > valb

    < d >

    vald1 < d1 > < / d1 >

    < d2 > vald2 < / d2 >

    / < d: >

    valf < f > < /f >

    < h >

    valh1 < h1 > < / h1 >

    valh2 < h2 > < / h2 >

    < HR >

    < newnode >

    < name > fred < / name >

    < type > book < / type >

    < / newnode >

    < newnode >

    < name > bob < / name >

    car of < type > < / type >

    < / newnode >

    < / extrainfo >

    < xmlnode >

    val1 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    val2 < subnode2 > < / subnode2 >

    < type > book < / type >

    < / xmlnode >

    < xmlnode >

    val3 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    < subnode2 > val4 < / subnode2 >

    car of < type > < / type >

    < / xmlnode >

    < / root >

    If it's easier, I * think * we would be ok with something like:

    ...

    < newnode >

    < name type = 'fred' > book < / type >

    car < name type = 'bob' > < / type >

    < / newnode >

    ...

    Is the closest, I came:

    with sample_data as (select xmltype ("< root >

    < xmlnode >

    val1 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    val2 < subnode2 > < / subnode2 >

    < / xmlnode >

    val3 < subnode1 > < / subnode1 >

    < subnode2 > val4 < / subnode2 >

    < / xmlnode >

    (< / root > ') xml_to_update,.

    XmlType ("< a >

    < b > < /b > valb

    valc < c >/< c >

    < d >

    vald1 < d1 > < / d1 >

    / < d: >

    Vale of < e > < /e >

    valf < f > < /f >

    < g >

    valg2 < g2 > < / g2 >

    / < g >

    < h >

    valh1 < h1 > < / h1 >

    valh2 < h2 > < / h2 >

    < HR >

    < volume >

    < name > fred < / name >

    < type > book < / type >

    Head of <>1 < / head >

    < / multi-user >

    < volume >

    Bob < name > < / name >

    car of < type > < / type >

    < head > 0 < / head >

    < / multi-user >

    (< /a > ') xml_to_extract_from

    the double)

    Select xmlserialize (document

    XMLQUERY)

    ' copy $d: = $old

    Edit)

    Insert the node element extrainfo {}

    $ new/a/b

    , $ new/a.

    , $ new/e/f

    , $/ a/h new

    newnode}

    $ new/a/multi-user/name

    , $/ a/multi-user/new

    }

    } as the first in $d / root

    )

    return $from

    by passing sd.xml_to_update as "old."

    , sd.xml_to_extract_from as 'new '.

    contents of return

    )

    dash

    ) fred

    of sample_data sd;

    Which produces:

    ...

    < newnode >

    < name > fred < / name >

    Bob < name > < / name >

    < type > book < / type >

    car of < type > < / type >

    < / newnode >

    ...

    -obviously not right!

    Can anyone give advice? I tried to find similar examples, but I can't put it in the right search terms, or something!

    Hello

    To manage the expandable nodes, you have to iterate using a FLWOR expression:

    copy $d: = $old

    Edit)

    Insert the node element extrainfo {}

    $ new/a/b

    , $ new/a.

    , $ new/e/f

    , $/ a/h new

    , for $i in $ a/new/multi-user

    will return the newnode item {$i / name, $i / type}

    } as the first in $d / root

    )

    return $d

    or, even, to get the result by replacing:

    copy $d: = $old

    Edit)

    Insert the node element extrainfo {}

    $ new/a/b

    , $ new/a.

    , $ new/e/f

    , $/ a/h new

    newnode}

    for $i in $ a/new/multi-user

    Returns the element type {}

    name of the attribute {data($i/name)}

    data($i/type)

    }

    }

    } as the first in $d / root

    )

    return $d

  • Cannot add the drives shared to the cluster nodes

    ESX 3.5

    I am trying to set up a cluster "2 nodes in a box". According to the guide of cluster (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/vi3_35_25_u1_mscs.pdf), I created the shared disks (quorum & data) using:

    vmkfstools .vdmk - c

    The discs create successfully and I can see them at VIC, but when I add the disk to the virtual machine, it appears in the selection window.

    Any ideas?

    Oh! The mistake was all the time under our noses

    vmkfstools - cdmk Kala
