• Help install a double layer DVD SATA drive

  Just installed a dual layer SATA DVD drive in my Dimension 8300.  It is the second DVD drive installed.  It came with the SATA cable that I have attached to the motherboard's SATA connector.

  But when I check for the installed hardware, I don't see the original DVD drive.

  I know I can it's okay because the drawer will open and close properly.

  I also double checked to make sure that the SATA connector is taken in the DVD player and the jury firmly.

  Do I need to install the drivers?
